Great show highly recommend seeing this, sounded totally like the movie.
We went to see the Harry Potter concert with the Buffalo Philharmonic and it was absolutely the best! Our seats were awesome and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening. I would highly recommend this to anybody.
My family and I all agreed that at times we forgot we were at a live performance. We were so engrossed in the film. The BPO didn't just hit every note and have perfect timing, but they grabbed us and took us into the wizarding world. I feel spoiled now and want to watch all my movies with the BPO playing along. It was extraordinary. The conductor's talent is out-of-bounds. Keeping all that together is mind-boggling. Every time I see the BPO perform, I say "they can't possibly top that"...and yet somehow they do. Perfection all the way around.
This was amazing highy reccomend! I will be seeing the next one!!
The show was such an awesome experience! I can’t wait for The Chamber of Secrets!
It was my daughter’s 1st time at shea’s and we’re huge Harry Potter fans! It was amazing how the orchestra blended in with the movie so seamlessly! The audience was encouraged to participate and react like they would at home! It was great! We can’t wait for the 2nd one!
Honestly, I am a HP fan. I loved the orchestra. They were absolutely amazing. But I didn’t want to watch the movie. Maybe they can incorporate into it some kind of theatric performance. Something live with the orchestra. I mean the tickets weren’t cheap, so to just watch the movie seemed ridiculous.
Combining the BPO and the playing of the movie was a great experience. No one should miss it.
The movie and concert were both awesome. The atmosphere was so fun!!! Can’t wait to go the the next one! I’m hoping Shea’s serves Harry Potter themed cocktails next time.
I loved how energetic the entire crowd was! Applauding and booing characters, made the entire experience really genuine. The orchestra was amazing! After having seen this movie as many times as I have, the orchestra made me get goosebumps like it was my first time watching it again! Amazing!
Loved the evening, especially to have the grandchildren experience the B.P.O. Only slight glitch was the closed captioning of the movie. For those people in the first dozen or so rows, the conductor was blocking the movie captions. At one point the captioning appeared on the top of the screen and we could read the entire caption. Unfortunately the captions returned to the bottom of the screen and we had the conductor to deal with. Not a major problem though, the grandchildren probably had the movie memorized! The older folks loved the music and I have to be honest in that I also enjoyed the movie!
Best experience - it was a thrill to see the movie and BPO play together Several days later I’m still thinking about the existence
BPO was awesome. Their timing to the movie was amazing.
Truly a fantastic experience. The BPO was flawless in playing live music experience to the movie. I look forward to another experience whether HP or another.
Shea's has put on another outstanding event for the people of the buffalo area.
The orchestra and conductor itself did an amazing job and really added to the show. All the volunteers/staff were very courteous and helpful. The conductor inviting the audience to get involved had good intentions. However, I feel it overtook the whole experience and ambiance of the show and the orchestras performance. Particularly because one gentlemen (theres always one:)kept making loud and obnoxious remarks. The audience participation overall ruined and interrupted what couldve really been a much more enjoyable experience. With that being said, I will not attend another show of this sort.Sheas has such great shows, its vitality was just lost at this one for me and my family.
My wife didn’t like the balcony seats as she felt they were Tight. If not for the tight seating we would have given a rating 5 stars. Would definitely go again.
The orchestra was perfectly in step with the movie, and the music was delightful. So well done!!
I love music and enjoyed the Harry Potter movies (not just for little kids). So the combination of love music and the big screen was delightful. It was fun going to a concert where you could cheer, boo, or just clap at odd times. Also since I can't drive at night any more, I really appreciated the matinee performance.
Just as the first performance in the Harry Potter concert series, Chamber of Secrets was exceptionally well done. Love the Boise Philharmonic Orchestra and, of course, loved the Chamber of Secrets! It is a special gift my daughter and I enjoy together. Just the two of us. The only negative was the unruly family seated behind us in full hogwarts robes, but who were somewhat inconsiderate of those around them, flogging us with their oversized robes as they came and went and allowing their children to kick the back of our seats, talk through the performance, pull hair as they pulled themselves up on their seats using the backs of ours, and parents reading subtitles and Tom Riddle's diary entries aloud to them at various points in the show. A bit of edicate on acceptable behavior would be good for that whole family. Otherwise, we can't wait for the next in the series, but may opt for the evening performance for a more mature audience experience.
