  • Loved music & movie, HATED all the audience noise!!

    by K&M on 4/23/24Robinson Center - Little RockRating: 3 out of 5

I have no problem with the costumes and a little bit of the audience reactions, however, it became VERY annoying and will make me think before purchasing tickets for and attending another Harry Potter movie with symphony playing along. I feel that I paid WAY too much for these tickets to have the constant audience noise throughout the performance. ABSOLUTELY LOVED the live symphony playing the music along with the movie!!!!

  • Great experience

Really enjoyed this experience!! Look forward to attending the remainder of the series in the years to come.

  • Surprised

by Roberta on 4/23/24Robinson Center - Little RockRating: 5 out of 5

Never been to anything like this before and It was amazing. Alive orchestra while playing Harry Potter movie was more than I expected. Violens - Chello so many players never new how much music was involved.

  • Great Music! Film distracts from the music.

by Zach on 4/23/24Robinson Center - Little RockRating: 4 out of 5

The best part of the whole concert was the end credits. Pure music, no distraction from the film. When I originally bought tickets, I didn’t realize this was going to be the whole film, but with original music track removed, and orchestra playing. It sounds like a fun idea, but when I go to a concert, I’m going for music only. That being said, Arkansas Symphony Orchestra was top notch, great performance. And I def recommend this if you like Harry Potter.

  • Amazing!!

by Timo on 4/23/24Robinson Center - Little RockRating: 5 out of 5

I found myself watching the orchestra in awe. Having seen the movie so many times previously it was thrilling to watch in this format. My daughter was thrilled. I would definitely like to experience more movies in this way.

  • Magical experience

by Andrea on 4/23/24Robinson Center - Little RockRating: 5 out of 5

Fantastic night. I have always loved the musical score for the Harry Potter movies (and the movies themselves!) so this was a perfect night. The musicians were wonderful and the crowd involvement made it even more fun. I am so impressed with the ASO musicians talent and stamina. A 3 hours concert!!

  • Could have been a 5 star show

by Andy on 4/23/24Robinson Center - Little RockRating: 3 out of 5

This was an amazing setup. We had the perfect seats. The only downfall was the conductor welcomed audience participation. This ruined the experience for sure. People laughed out loud throughout the show and clapped and it seemed like it was everytime the music started up and through the entire 3 hours. The orchestra rehearsed countless hours for people to just disregard the purpose of the show. So aggravating.

  • HP magic

by Amy on 4/23/24Robinson Center - Little RockRating: 5 out of 5

To see AND hear the magic of Harry Potter on the big screen and in person🎵was just thrilling and magical✨

  • Amazing

by TayBay on 2/9/24Rating: 5 out of 5

You felt the intense moments so much more. My favorite by far was the harp. Everytime she started playing I heard it. An experience that tops just watching a movie. I'll definitely be attending the other movies when they come back to Atlanta.

  • Superb!

The synchronicity between the film and the orchestra is amazing.

  • A Magical Night

    by J. B. on 3/8/20Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5

The BPO outdid themselves with a magical performance of Harry Potter's second year at Hogwarts. I hope they continue the series, I will be at every show if they do. I was nervous we wouldn't be able to hear the film but it was easy to hear and the subtitles were helpful; the music brought the magic to life and I was so glad my family and I were able to attend. Love the BPO and Shea's is beautiful as ever.

  • Amazing show! We already plan on seeing this again!

by RondaBatt on 3/6/20Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5

One of the best shows I have seen in a long time. We went in a little unsure and turned out to be an amazing time!

  • Fun afternoon!

by Mick K on 3/4/20Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 4 out of 5

BPO was in top notch form, conductor very colorful! Audience was involved, cheering on the good guys! Of course, theatre is always gorgeous.

  • Chamber of Secrets

I took my 2 granddaughters and a friend for each of them. They loved it and so did I.

  • Not What I Expected

by Pufflehuff on 3/3/20Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 3 out of 5

I should start this review by stating that the orchestra did an incredible job! In fact, the job was so flawless it was exactly like watching the movie and several times I forgot the orchestra was even there! That’s right, they showed the ENTIRE film complete with sound effects and dialogue - these are some expensive movie tickets. I was expecting a concert with scene excerpts and a focus on the music, but instead this was a movie showing. I know that movie music is supposed to be in the background, but I wanted it to be brought to the forefront. I want to hear the music uninterrupted by dialogue, child acting, and sound effects. I want to know what inspired it, how it was created, how it evolved and changed. The program was 4 pages long with no mention of who was in the orchestra, soloist, special instruments, not even a listing of the pieces. But at least I learned the name of the extremely important social media director. In short, the orchestra was phenomenal and they worked very hard to replicate the music for this movie showing. It was not, however, a concert. I think I’ll pass on future events in this series.

  • Overwhelmingly absorbing

    by j. p. on 3/3/20Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5

The ultimate test: my grandsons (5&9) were 100% absorbed and focused. We were in the very last row upstairs and the sound was full and textured. I was glad the movie had captions as grandpa has some hearing issues. And the Twizzlers were delicious. Very nice family event

  • This was our second time seeing the Harry Otter Concert Seri

by Debra on 3/2/20Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5

I took my 11 yr. Old daughter and my 29 yr. Old daughter and they both loved it equally! The movie is excellent but watching the Philharmonic playing is beyond thrilling. Thank you for the experience and we will see you for nextHarry Potter Concert Series #3!

  • I took my granddaughter to this show and we both loved it!

by SherryWB on 3/2/20Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5

The movie was great, but the music was amazing! The philharmonic did an awesome job with all the background sounds for the movie in addition to the music throughout the show. We will be going to any other Harry Potter events that come up !

  • BPO was outstanding, movie was terrific.

by Amy on 3/2/20Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 4 out of 5

Shea's needs to remodel and give leg room. So uncomfortable, made the whole experience bad. BPO and movie were outstanding
