  • Amazing but Blazing!

by Jason on 5/7/24Knoxville Civic Auditorium - KnoxvilleRating: 4 out of 5

The experience and the concert was amazing however the upper Balcony area was way too hot. I’m not sure if the air was working but it was almost miserably hot up there. I’d love to see that addressed I. The future as I really want to attend more of these. Thank you for asking!

  • Great program but audience ditracted from experience

by Betsyw on 5/6/24Knoxville Civic Auditorium - KnoxvilleRating: 4 out of 5

Symphony was fabulous and the movie was great to see. Unfortunately the audience was told to make lots of noise and the person in front of me insisted it was ok to open her phone all the time and take selfies. Made it hard to keep in the movie experience. I will not go to next one.

  • Great Movie and Fabulous Music

by Diane on 5/6/24Knoxville Civic Auditorium - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Our family enjoyed this so much because we are Harry Potter fans and fans of the KSO as well. We know some of the symphony musicians which makes it more special!! This combination is just so delightful for an evening out!!

  • We took our grandchildren to this event.

by Kristie on 5/6/24Knoxville Civic Auditorium - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Our seats were good, the orchestra was great! The movie had subtitles which also helped if you were having any trouble hearing any of it although the balance of the sound in the movie against the orchestra's music was very good. Our grandchildren haven't had much experience with orchestras so this was the perfect event for them because they love Harry Potter! The only downside to the event was that there were extremely long lines to get concessions at intermission which meant the kids didn't get a chance to get anything. Great experience!

  • Symphony and Movie wonderful, Venue not so Much So

by Rick on 5/6/24Knoxville Civic Auditorium - KnoxvilleRating: 4 out of 5

The movie, symphony, and crowd were excellent. The John Williams score was enhanced by this type of performance. Unfortunately, either the air conditioning was broken, not used, or insufficient. It was only the 3rd of May, but the venue could have doubled as a sauna, and that was before the movie even started. The heat kept increasing. A number of people left (which I presume was due to the temperature), some even before Intermission. The lack of legroom made the viewing uncomfortable, even for people less than 6 feet tall. I recommend the event, but not the venue.

  • okay?

by Harry Potter on 5/6/24Knoxville Civic Auditorium - KnoxvilleRating: 3 out of 5

The good: the symphony was amazing! Wonderful to hear the music live. The bad: There should've been more than one screen to watch the movie. And it was UNBEARABLY HOT to the point we left at intermission because it was just miserable. $400- down the drain.

  • Wonderful experience!

by Crowe's Nest on 5/6/24Knoxville Civic Auditorium - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

My 14 yo daughter and I attended and LOVED it. We don't attend symphony performances but this was next level with HP. It was so enjoyable. We found ourselves immersed in the movie and suddenly would realize the music was live. You almost forgot bc it was timed and performed so well. The encouragement to interact with the movie by the conductor was icing on the cake. The audience booed, cheered, laughed and clapped during the event and it made it so much more fun. The members of the orchestra would smile or laugh when the audience reacted so I know they enjoyed it too. We are already looking for the next event to be scheduled and will bring friends with us.

  • Too hot to stay

by ACLover on 5/6/24Knoxville Civic Auditorium - KnoxvilleRating: 3 out of 5

Loved the movie and music however the auditorium was so hot! Had to leave at intermission and I don’t think we were the only ones!

  • Good concert, bad venue!

by Pop on 5/6/24Knoxville Civic Auditorium - KnoxvilleRating: 2 out of 5

Air conditioner was not working and made the experience miserable. This is the fourth time we been to a Harry Potter concert and the movie and music experience has always been great. It may be a while before we book another event in that venue.

  • Unbelievable Show!

by Mary M on 5/6/24Knoxville Civic Auditorium - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The Harry Potter and the Sorcere’s Stone movie with music played by our Knoxville Symphony was truly spectacular! The symphony played the score seamlessly and beautifully with the music. I can’t wait for the next show!

  • Great time except hot

by MZ on 5/6/24Knoxville Civic Auditorium - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the performance and movie. However, due to the heat we were very uncomfortable. I would recommend this to anyone, but maybe make sure the venue has working air.

  • Too warm!!!

by Bets on 5/6/24Knoxville Civic Auditorium - KnoxvilleRating: 3 out of 5

The Civic auditorium was very warm and detracted from the movie. Fix the air!!!

  • A Wonderful Evening!

by SCM on 5/4/24Rating: 5 out of 5

The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra did a wonderful job bringing the movie to life! It was an awesome time and wonderful to see all the amazing musicians. Dress for the event was anything from Harry Potter merchandise, robes, to regular clothes. Be sure to know your venue’s rules ahead of time such as not being able to go in until there are pauses in between tracks being played by the orchestra. Be sure to arrive a little early!

  • A great night with great people

by VMarren on 4/28/24Robinson Center - Little RockRating: 5 out of 5

Not only was the orchestra excellent, as always, but they also encouraged audience participation by cheering, quoting, and experiencing the world of Harry Potter together. I cannot wait for the next movie orchestra experience.

  • Can’t wait for more

Having the AR Symphony Orchestra play the soundtrack while watching the movie was amazing. The orchestra did such a great job, and it felt like you were watching the movie with surround sound!

by MSC on 4/24/24Robinson Center - Little RockRating: 5 out of 5

Such fun! It was wonderful to see so many Harry Potter fans in one space - the very young to much older. At times I would forget that our very own Arkansas Symphony Orchestra was providing the sound track. They were so good!! Looking forward to October's performance!!
