If you enjoyed the HP books and movies, you will enjoy this play. If you've never read the books nor seen the movies, you will still enjoy this show. The concept of the story was good. It brought new and old together. The 'magic' was done very well and kept you intrigued. I'm glad I went.
What they have been able to do with this theater experience is absolutely incredible. A top notch show that could only be pulled off in New York!! Tickets will be hard to come by for a very long time!
All the details throughout the theatre kept you in the Harry Potter universe from the time you walked through the doors. The play invited the theatre goers into the story and kept them there until the very end.
The play was better than I could have ever imagined. If I get a chance to see it again, I will, and so should you! Magic was ALL AROUND! Everything was beyond my expectations! Great job to everyone involved in bringing this to life! Thank you!
The staging, costumes and acting were excellent. I had seen some of the special effects in other shows but the tricks I had never seen before were amazing. The story was riveting and watching it unfold had me, as an adult, captivated. My only problem was it was too long. I would have preferred to see a 3 hour play with 2 intermissions than two 2+ hour plays. Some minor scenes could have been cut to make this happen. Part 2 seemed 'tighter' than part 1 so the set-up could have been more precise.(shorter) Also, the performance could start earlier to accommodate all the muggle children who attend. I would recommend this show just for the staging alone but it was so much more.
Everything was fantastic!! The special effects were great, the performers were awesome. You definitely need to see this play! My 9 year old was amazed by everything.

I saw the preview and it was amazing, I only give 4 stars because some of the "special effects" weren't as good as others, specially the magic tricks. I know is Broadway not Hollywood but I've seen other plays like Frozen and they did an extraordinary job there. Definitely I would recommend the play to all the HP fans out there.
Brought my family to see this and we were blown away by the special effects and enjoyed the actors. We would love to see it again! Bravo!
If you're a Harry Potter fan, you absolutely MUST go to this show. The story is great, the cast incredible, the venue perfect. GO, GO, GO!!!
I don't want to give much away, but this is a moving story about the difficulties of being a parent, a child, a husband, a wife, a friend, a lover, and all set on this magical world. As adults we often forget what it was like to be young. More than any other Harry Potter story, this is heavily character driven. I definitely choked back some tears. There are so many really cool effects in this show, all practical! Set and costume changes were all done with such style and flourish. This must be seen by Potter fans young and old.

We enjoyed both parts so much! The magic is real and magical. Loved new and old characters. The theater was obviously update for this show and I anticipate it will play here for years. There was a hiccup in production but we were at a dress rehearsal so that is expected. Nevertheless, we loved the show and you will too. #KeeptheSecrets
I read the book when it came out, so I didn’t know what to expect, how were they going to “do magic”... It was way better than anything that I’ve imagined! Even my boyfriend that is not a fan was amazed.
Everything was simply magical! The scenery, the special effects, the actors and the story made this a memory of a lifetime for our family.
This show was phenomenal. I know some fans didn’t particularly like the script book, but the play was absolutely magical. Anthony Boyle as Scorpius was absolutely fantastic and the rest of the cast was amazing as well. I loved this show so much and would absolutely love to see it again.
A delightful production. The more familiar you are with the books and the characters, the more you will get out of it. The special effects are great fun and surprisingly magical.
I am a massive Harry Potter fan and this show blew my mind in every way imaginable. Even if you aren't a massive fan of Potter, this play is still something that is so amazing I will recommend it to EVERYONE. I am going to keep the secrets, but they make magic real on stage. This show has impacted me so much more than I thought it would. I pray that I can get more tickets and return again and again and again. My words will never do this show justice. Absolutely breathtaking.
Nearly 6 hours (in 2 parts) of unbelievable stagecraft “magic” unlike anything that has been done on Broadway before. So fortunate that most of the principal UK cast came over; they are sublime and not to be missed. Bravo to the entire company!
A must see! Very impressive! For all ages! As Ms. Rowling has asked that we keep the secret, there is nothing more I can say!
