I had a blast. The stagecraft is the highlight but the acting, the writing, the flow of emotions are also very solid. I liked how the new visual identity was easily assimilated, considering how impactful the movies aesthetics have been all these years. Not to be missed!
The new theater is breathtakingly magnificent . The sets, special effects and magic tricks were truly fabulous.I felt the play was a B+...some of the characters were poorly drawn, and the story line was a bit hackneyed, HOWEVER it was AMAZING to see the old gang back together (Harry, Ron, Hermoine,Ginny, etc), but again, some of the acting was a bit forced and overdone....Its not in the same realm as Hamilton, Come from Away, etc, but it is a fun experience...It would be better suited for Harry Potter World, Disneyland, etc....The audience was full of people dressed in Hogwarts robes, with wands and scarves, etc....All that being said, I am very glad I saw it, and enjoyed myself. The 2 nights made the experience very memorable. Its a fun play, full of unexpected twists and turns....it just NOT, GREAT THEATER!
Absolutely wanted more - theatre is beautiful - staff was wonderful and the play was well worth the wait and ticket price. So many surprises and laughs!
This show was top notch. The actors were amazing and the set and special effects were super top notch. This play was really worth it for me to travel to New York to see and I would love to see it again!

I saw the second preview of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, and I was completely floored. I have lived in NYC for 18 years and I see a lot of theatre, from major productions to small off-off bway ones. This show ranks in the top ten of everything I’ve ever seen. The sheer magnitude and scale of what is accomplished, in terms of stage craft, is on its own worth the full price of the premium ticket. And on top of that you get great acting, beautiful writing, incredible music (by Imogen Heap), and a fantastic emotional payoff. This is a must-see for any Harry Potter fan, and a highly recommended for all others.
A wonderful magical experience! The price is worth the brilliance of the show! The theatre HP decorations rocks the place!
MUST SEE! Great addition to the Harry Potter story.
