    Unforgettable -The entire show!

by DJPC on 7/6/09Rupp Arena - Lexington

Thia was my first time to attend this event and thought that the whole show and set up was awesome. I loved Hank Williams, Jr.'s daughter ( and of course him too) and plan to buy her CD. I was very impressed with the whole performance, loved the big screens since I was sitting in Section C- Next time I will go for VIP! I was also pleased with the security on bikes, foot, and Horseback. I had to park about four blocks down on Jefferson and felt very safe walking back to my car alone, with officers on each corner! My friend ended up not coming with me, boy did she miss a good time. Keep up the good work! DJC

    Another Great Hank Concert!

by IrishGrizz on 7/6/09Horseshoe Southern Indiana - Elizabeth

Simply put Hank put on a great show. This is the fourth time I had seen him and he played most of his hits and played for almost two hours. He also sounded great and as always did a good job working the crowd. I do wish there would have been an opening act given the cost of the tickets, but Hank for his part delivered the goods. He did spend a little too much time talking about being relevant to rookies in the NFL, but that was minor. Could of also done without the pregnant 40 year old drinking beer all night a few seats down which was kind of depressing, but that isn't really Hank's fault.

Hank Jr. and Halfway to Hazard

by chocolatebirdog on 7/6/09Rupp Arena - Lexington

The weather was wet, but it was a good show. Keith Anderson was a good opening act. I missed Holly Williams and Justin Moore. Hank put on a great show as always. After the fireworks show Halfway to Hazard hit the stage. If you ever get a chance to see this up and coming duo you won't be disappointed. They are a great blend of country and southern rock. The first CD is awsome and they have another coming out in August. Check these guys out. We need more music like their's on the radio. The new song "I know where heaven is" is great. Call your radio station and request it.

    Small is good!

by Beaufantastic on 7/6/09Horseshoe Southern Indiana - Elizabeth

I enjoyed the concert, and felt because it was a smaller venue the concert was more enjoyable..however for the price I paid for my seats I felt it was not a favorable seating arrangement because it seemed that general admission on the sides got a better view as the reserved higher priced seating....It took away from my enjoyment as I couldnt see over the people sitting in front of me...if the seats were elavated there would probably be people standing adn blockign views but it jsut seemed like I spent money needless ly as the general admision was more visual to actually see the stage then the expensive reserved seating I bought... Loved the concert adn would most likely return for other concerts....

    Hank was great

by deltabelle on 7/6/09Rupp Arena - Lexington

Despite the continuous rain, we had a great time! Hank was a incredible. A very good show. It was very neat to see his daughter, Holly Williams, open for him. The venue was great. Lexington did a great job setting up the seating. There wasn't a bad seat in the place. The sound crew did a great job. My mother was in a building 5 blocks away and on the balcony could hear Hank talking like she was sitting right next to me. But, I didn't feel like I was being blown away by the sound.

Red White and Boom was the best!

by Mealohaoe on 7/6/09Rupp Arena - Lexington

I had a great time. my husband and I arrived when the doors opened at 3 pm and saw all the acts from Holly to Justin to Keith to good ol' Hank and even stayed for Halfway to Hazard after almost everybody else left. It was a constant drizzle, but it was worth it standing in the rain for almost 9 hours. One suggestion, though. Don't mark rows and seats on the concrete in chalk. Luckily for us, because we got there early, the markings were still on the ground so we knew we were definitely in the right seats. But it wasn't fun arguing with people as they came later and the markings had all been washed away. The usher also didn't know that our section had started with row 2 instead of row 1 until I pointed it out ot him, so he kept seating people in the wrong place.

    Red, White & Boom

    by HankFan1 on 7/6/09Rupp Arena - Lexington

I really love Hank! The only thing that was disappointing was the V.I.P. You pay over $100 and are supposed to get free stuff..... The T-shirts they gave us was crap. They didn't even mention Red, White & Boom. They were 98.1 the Bull T-shirts. The needed to have portapotties up close to the V.I.P. You had to walk all the way back. Also, when they threw out t-shirts they didn't even come up to the front, they stayed in the back. I just think they should have done better w/ the V.I.P. tickets.

    Hank was awesome!

by Hideehi on 7/6/09Horseshoe Southern Indiana - Elizabeth

Hank always puts on an awesome show whenever, whereever he plays! This was my husbands 4th Hank concert, my 2nd and I can't wait to see him again! I surprised my husband and bought "good" seats, much better than what we usually spend and was about 7th row. Money well spent! It was great!!

    Hank is incredible.

by DaveinKentucky on 7/6/09Rupp Arena - Lexington

Come rain or shine, the legend won't let you down. Hank's concert is always what Dixie delivers, a great time. People came as far as the Kentucky/Virginia border to see the man thats belongs to Dixie. The man answers the call, need we say more. A great time and on the Nation's birthday to boot. All in all, if you missed it, we drank a beer for you.
