HAMILTON is the story of America then, told by America now. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, HAMILTON has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theatre--a musical that has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education.
With book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, HAMILTON is based on Ron Chernow's acclaimed biography. It has won Tony®, Grammy®, and Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and an unprecedented special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors.

One of the best plays I've seen and that includes Broadway shows. Phenomenal voices - thoroughly enjoyed!!
The show was amazing! The King was the crowd favorite. Aaron Burr and George Washington actors were brilliant and Eliza had pipes on her! I loved how each actor/actress made the part their own from the Disney+ version. Such an awesome experience!
I was excited to finally see the musical, Hamilton. The artistry and performance are phenomenal — I can understand why people rave about it. The perspective shift in the telling of the birth of this country is engaging, even though we all know the basic story. What really hit me on top of all this was just how emotional Hamilton as an experience was. The theater was packed, and screams and cheers could be heard as the lights dimmed and before the opening number began. The show is explosive and Hamilton with his die-hard passion to win independence and shape the country takes you on a journey of ups and downs with witty wordplay, banter, and laughs along the way. Additionally, there was darkness in the form of war, betrayal, and duels. Battles are won, people are lost, yet Hamilton holds on to the idea of America and when confronted with his own mortality, considers what will become of his legacy (there was a pause in the action and it was a deep, meta moment). Hamilton fights harder for the U.S. than he does for anyone or anything else, which is probably noble, but also came off as self-destructive. At different points, you can see the pain on his loved ones’ faces as he continues to choose the country over those nearest and dearest to him. He’s not perfect but he did great things. What a wonderful experience — I’m glad that I pushed myself to buy tickets. The show is spectacular and novel indeed.
The actors made each role their very own. It wasn't just a copy of the original cast. We had a fantastic time and can't wait to experience this show again and again!
I could not have asked for a better show! The stage was perfect, the actors were perfect! As soon as the lights dimmed and the first notes began I immediately teared up in excitement. The small personal touches were amazing and hilarious. It was everything I wanted and MORE!
We sat in the third row and could see all the expressions and details. In the future, I will sit up front if possible again. Hamilton was excellent as expected, but I love the performance of Aaron Burr and George Washington. They were superb! The King was wonderful. Overall, I did not mind the security check, the parking, etc. The staff was great. The ushers were very helpful and seats were comfortable. It was great to see a Broadway show again! Thank you so much!
Fabulous show, first time I’ve seen it and loved it! I’ve seen many Broadway shows in NYC, and this was as good as it gets! So professional! Great acting, dancing, singing, what a cast! Thanks for bringing such a first rate production to lil’ ol’ Birmingham, Alabama, we are honored! Wish I could see it again!
Cast and crew were Outstanding! Saw it in NYC and previously in Boston and loved it just as much the third time!
Cast was very good, musical director on point!! They did the original production justice!!!
Humorous, professional, and talented actors, just a delightful experience!
From start to finish this was an AMAZING show! Completely got lost in the characters (especially A.Ham and A. Burr). The development of the characters from the first act to the second act made the timeline of events incredibly believable. Not to mention the SINGING! Can’t wait to go back! This cast….OMG!
Aaron Burr & Eliza Hamilton were excellent! However, my fav character, Lafayette/Jefferson was a little disappointing - not sure if it was lack of enunciation, bad sound system or overpowering bass during rapping sequences. While still a good show, I enjoyed the Chicago production a lot more.
What an experience from venue to show. Absolutely incredible show. Hamilton was amazing.
I loved it. I did not understand the rapping and hip-hop conversations but I liked the tempo and the music. I loved the dancing and singing-it is different and new to me. the dance moves are wonderful and current dance moves. I saw it 2x because I love the show.
The performers were superb!!! They were singing their hearts out. The music level/mix was WAY too loud 3 clicks down would have helped. I was straining to hear the lyrics/ dialog. I could only hear about 1/3rd of what was said. Very disappointing as I had to fly over to see this performance.
Great show you could really feel the emotions that the actors were trying to portray
I have waited so long to see this production. It was amazing from start to finish. The costumes, the lighting/ the props were all on point. The entire cast did an incredible job. They put their hearts and souls into it. I highly recommend Hamilton to audiences of all ages
The show was amazing! The cast, crew and orchestra were all amazing!
The play was entertaining.. but much of it was impossible to understand.
