About

HAMILTON is the story of America then, told by America now.  Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, HAMILTON has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theatre--a musical that has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education.

With book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, HAMILTON is based on Ron Chernow's acclaimed biography. It has won Tony®, Grammy®, and Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and an unprecedented special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors.

    Great play, horrible venue

by Zub on 1/29/23BJCC Concert Hall - Birmingham

This is the second time my hot wife and I saw Hamilton. Love the play even though I am not a Broadway show fan. My issue is the hall that the play was located. The acoustics were dreadful. The sight lines weren't great either. Hamilton great, concert hall bad.

    Rap Rap Rap

by Kalola on 1/29/23Neal S Blaisdell Concert Hall - Honolulu

I had good center ground seats, however I could partially understand what they were rapping. Reading up about Hamilton before I went to the Show I still couldn’t get into it until the second part. Not one on the Best!!!

    AB FAB!!!

by Cookie Z on 1/29/23Neal S Blaisdell Concert Hall - Honolulu

"Hamilton" was over and above our very high expectations! The venue was perfect for this show at The Blaisdell Theater in Honolulu. We had "chicken skin" seats and could see and hear everything perfectly. Very friendly team at the theater too, helping with questions we had. This show blew our doors off and is not to be missed! A historic portrayal of the very magnificent but humanly flawed Alexander Hamilton, and every other founding father with an amazing story to tell. The actor's voices, and acting, choreography, costumes, lighting, special effects ....you name it....5 stars. Absolutely memorable!

Caught the matinee. Blaisdell staff quickly seated us. Thank you to the organizers and performers for coming to Hawaii and putting on such a great show.

Experiencing All Life Has To Offer!!

by Pupas70 on 1/29/23Neal S Blaisdell Concert Hall - Honolulu

I like to take my boys to things that they should try at least once or twice. This was the best show to take them to for their first live musical theater show! The questions that were generated, the exciting expressions, the discussion that we had on the way back to the hotel just left me with a huge smile on my face and in my heart. They wanted to go watch it again. Thank you to all for sparking the flame in all of us!

    Awesome time with family

by Rieske on 1/29/23BJCC Concert Hall - Birmingham

We took our teenage daughter to see Hamilton (touring) after she fell in love with original. The touring cast lived up to the original and was amazing. Our daughter was on the edge of her seat and smiling ear to ear during the entire performance. Absolutely loved it!!!

    Outstanding show!!

    by G. C. on 1/29/23

Hamilton didn’t disappoint!! The cast is incredible and the energy and singing on point. Many people complained about the sound. For the first half of the show I was seated in the second row, balcony and the sound wasn’t great. It was hard to understand the lyrics. After intermission I asked to be seated in an empty seat orchestra level and was accommodated. What a major difference. You could hear everything so clearly and I could understand the lyrics. I will never buy balcony seats at Blaisdell again. The speakers on the second level balcony was a major disservice to this outstanding production.

It was such an awesome performance and the audience was both immersed and engaged with the performance and with the actors. I went thrice!

Hamilton was a fabulous show! The Opera House is gorgeous and the show was so well done. Fascinating topic and amazing how he were able to get all those details into the scenes. The actors/musicians were marvelous. Couldn’t ask for a better show to see.

I recommend this opera for whom is interested in US history

by Noax on 1/28/23Citizens Bank Opera House - Boston

I recommend this opera for whom is interested in US history. If you're a foreigner, you had better checking Wikipedia of Alexander Hamilton before seeing the show. The speed of RAP is pretty fast.

    Parking

by Brent R on 1/28/23BJCC Concert Hall - Birmingham

I purchased parking at Lot P, one of the designated lots through Ticketmaster. Parking was advertised to open at 3 PM on January 25. I arrived at 3:30 and waited until 4:00 and the lot was still not open so I had to find alternate parking. After the parking debacle, everything about the play was excellent.

    Seating Expectations

by Miss Priss on 1/28/23BJCC Concert Hall - Birmingham

Hamilton was wonderful. From the music to the dancing, it was everything i dreamed of. However, various emails stated when the show starts and you are not in your seats, you would not be allowed in. The first 20 minutes into the show, there were several people in the wrong seats in my row. I had an usher and people standing in front of me. And having the flashlight shown in my eyes was very uncomfortable. So that was 20 minutes of a play i have waited forever to see and had numerous people standing in front of me. If you state entry will not be allowed after the show starts, be firm with with it. It was way to much disruption.
