Cast was great and everything was high energy and fun, easy to forget where you were for a few hours. Audience was packed and all seemed to enjoy. Seats were small and uncomfortable, but nothing new for theaters, you’d get that for any show.
The show was phenomenal. We had seats that were pretty high up but nonetheless heard and saw absolutely everything. My favorite character was se who was full of energy and was just so funny watch.

I have loved Hairspray for years, and this was an excellent production. The casting and staging was brilliant. It was a pleasure to see a show with such beautiful voices and creative choreography. Loved it!
I've watched Hairspray at a small theatre and it was OK but it is made for the big theatre. The sets really added to the great voices. The direction was great. When someone invited another player to dance it was polite and respectful which made the whole play more respectful. In the song about i know where I've come from the white actors didn't sing. It wasn't their song! They played up the campy and sexual innuendo without going too far. We went to the Italian Village for dinner, $90.00 for 2 but they didnt rush us and i talked to my daughter for about an hour.
Hairspray was energy from start to finish! I smiled all the way through the show. I loved how many performers played multiple parts, yet gave personality to each one. My first show in 2022, what a great start!!!
Everything about this performance was outstanding. The performers belonged on Broadway. The singing and dancing made me want to get on the stage and join them, except I can’t do either. The spirit of the actors was contagious. The only complaint I had was the man aka The Incredible Hulk, who sat in front of me.
I have seen Hairspray many, many times and I can honestly say I enjoyed this show more than any other. It was beautiful, funny and up lifting. I highly recommend everyone to see this play, it was a fantastic rendition!
Great seats, and loved every second of this show. A wonderful show for me to come back to Broadway in Chicago. 10/10 go see this please.

I was gifted 2 tickets for my birthday and I took my 16 yr. old daughter with me. We ABSOLUTELY loved it. The beautiful vibrant colors of the costumes and set where awesome, the cast was GREAT. We really enjoyed it! The overall experience was AMAZING! Highly recommended :)

This was a LOL funny show! That also had you wanting to dance in the aisle's. There was a lot of head bouncing going on and in the end many were dancing in the aisle's. My friend sitting next to me said she had a grin on her face from ear to ear during the whole performance ( couldn't see it because of here mask) and she was laughing out load at the same times I was. Great performances, great music, and great orchestra.
This is in my top 3 broadway shows. Amazing sound quality from start to finish. The cast was phenomal. I truly enjoyed my experience. The set, costumes everything.
Niki Metcalf is adorable as Tracy with a booming voice to match. The entire cast brought a dynamic energy to the show, and it’s a cast that you will be in awe of.
The show was uptempo from the very beginning and never let up. A very exciting and energetic show. A must see. I could see this show again and again. Fantastic!

I was visiting Chicago from Houston and had to see Hairspray. It was wonderful. The cast was great and the performances were astounding.
My kids loved this. They are 10 and 8 for reference. Tracy in the show was amazing as was her father in the show. Lots of laughs.
Absolutely amazing show. We both came without knowing this story about this show and we absolutely loved. Singers were doing such a wonderful job and the play was just awesome. While they are still here - you must go for the show. It is so much worth it. You will love it
