We so enjoyed seeing this performance! It was so energetic and uplifting. The Chicago Theatre was also very intimate and personal so was a lovely venue. Would definitely recommend seeing this!!

This cast portrayed the inspiring story of Hairspray with vibrant emotion and tremendous acting, singing, and dancing skill. I enjoyed it greatly-definitely a day brightener in the middle of winter. The actors and actresses all seemed very well cast and really leaned into their roles. The humorous lines came through very clearly, and many of us in the audience laughed collectively. Audience engagement was also great, which added to the experience. For example, in addition to everyone laughing, the audience all clapped at certain powerful points in the story. Overall, the enthusiasm and talent of the cast really made me and my friend who I went with feel like we were in the story. I left singing the songs in my head and filled with joy from the story.

The CIBC is a wonderful venue to see a show! And Hairspray did not disappoint! What a wonderful afternoon spent with the important ladies in our lives!

This show was outstanding. The voices were wonderful and the characters were spot on. We enjoyed it so much we are looking to see it again during their tour.

It was amazing, the ushers were wonderful people, the performance was perfect. I loved it.

My husband and I loved Hairspray. The great actors and their singing was outrageously fun. The music, the set design and the colors couldn't help but brighten our winter blue mood. This show would be great for kids too. I loved it that it delivered a message of equality. I was a little nerd and an athlete so I got bullied too. We are definitely going to become Broadway in Chicago subscribers next year!

The show was absolutely amazing from opening act to final curtain. The music , singing, dancing all on stage at the same time moved perfectly

The performance was great and lead with such a strong cast! It is such a great musical to start with, upbeat catch songs and great costumes. The cast did a wonderful job. I would definitely see this again!
