About

Grupo Frontera is a regional Mexican music act from Edinburg, Texas. The band’s lineup includes Adelaido “Payo” Solís III (vocals, bajo quinto); Juan Javier Cantú (vocals accordion); Julian Peña Jr. (congas); Alberto “Beto” Acosta (bajo quinto); Carlos Guerrero (drums) and Carlos Zamora (bass guitar). Grupo Frontera began performing in 2019 as a wedding and party band before eventually releasing a pair of EPs, En Vivo, Vol. 1 and No Se Va (En Vivo), in 2022.  That same year, the band scored their first No. 1 on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay chart courtesy of the Carín León collaboration “Que Vuelvas.” In 2023, the sextet joined forces with Bad Bunny for “Un x100to,” which rocketed to the Top 5 of the Hot 100 and is credited with helping usher regional Mexican music’s crossover into the mainstream. Later that summer, the band released their debut studio album, El Comienzo. Their sophomore LP, Jugando a Que No Pasa Nada, was released in 2024.

    It was a great show as always they do amazing, unfortunately the floor seats at Chase Center were way too close to each other we had no moving room siting next to other people

    girlll let me TELL YOU about the Grupo Frontera concerttttuhhh! The concert was HELLA FIRME and I LOVE LOVE LOVEUHH THE SETLIST. I bought the tickets the day before the concert and I was low-key scared bc I thought I wasn't going to get good seats, BUT I pulled through and was able to find AH-MAZING seats and was SOOOOO close to the stage. I will admit that I did cry, but like listen they were tears of joy because I remember watching their cover videos on YouTube and now seeing them in person I was so proud of them. WHOEVER did not go gurllll GO NEXT TOUR BECAUSE THE ENTIRE NIGHT WAS LIKE A DREAM. I especially loved how the entire arena just vibed the entire night. I GOTTA SAY PAYO IS SOOOOOOO FREAKING FINE IN PERSON. I WAS WITH MA MOM AND GURL I WAS SCREAMING WHENEVER HE SHOWED UP ON THE SCREEN. HES JUST TO CHIKI BB YOU KNOW?! AND WHEN THEY BROUGHT OUT OSCAR MAYDONN?!?! OMG WHEN THEY SANG FIN DE SEMANA I WAS SCREAMINGUHHHH. LIKE TAKE ME BACK TO THAT NIGHTTTT!!! anyways I love you Grupo Frontera and always will !! <3

    This was my second time going to a Grupo Frontera concert (1st being the El Comienzo Tour) and I have to say they put on an AMAZING performance. From the stage setup to the pyro/fire to the songs themselves, Grupo Frontera kept the energy for 2 and a half hours straight. I hope they continue to go on tour in the future because they always deliver. For anyone on the fence about going to their concerts, I 100% RECOMMEND GOING.

    Payo is a vibe, he kept us dancing and entertained. Their music is phenomenal live, they have great chemistry and you can see it when they perform.
