About

Grupo Frontera is a regional Mexican music act from Edinburg, Texas. The band’s lineup includes Adelaido “Payo” Solís III (vocals, bajo quinto); Juan Javier Cantú (vocals accordion); Julian Peña Jr. (congas); Alberto “Beto” Acosta (bajo quinto); Carlos Guerrero (drums) and Carlos Zamora (bass guitar). Grupo Frontera began performing in 2019 as a wedding and party band before eventually releasing a pair of EPs, En Vivo, Vol. 1 and No Se Va (En Vivo), in 2022.  That same year, the band scored their first No. 1 on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay chart courtesy of the Carín León collaboration “Que Vuelvas.” In 2023, the sextet joined forces with Bad Bunny for “Un x100to,” which rocketed to the Top 5 of the Hot 100 and is credited with helping usher regional Mexican music’s crossover into the mainstream. Later that summer, the band released their debut studio album, El Comienzo. Their sophomore LP, Jugando a Que No Pasa Nada, was released in 2024.

    Drinks were too expensive! Grupo Frontera always puts on a fun show! We had a 💥 blast! Love their music! Also loved that they played the new stuff along with some of the old favorites!! 🤠

    Grupo frontera put on an amazing show, was able to get last minute front row seats towards the middle, only complaint was that when we arrived for the show other goers left little to know room for my partner and I to stand in front of our seats, we had to wait for someone to leave for a moment to be able to stand against the railing like everyone else. Not sure if I’d get front row seats like that again for that reason of having to but over a good experience with the performers and venue!

    AWESOME in every way. The audience sang along with most of the songs -- great community feeling. Everyone in the audience loved Grupo Frontera. The lead singer was impressive -- high energy throughout the show. Entertaining every moment of the evening. Loved the 3D graphics -- so beautiful and complementary to the music and band. Ideal venue at SaveMart Center in Fresno -- so pleasant, easy to attend, beautiful facility. WILL GO AGAIN TO SEE GRUPO FRONTERA in FRESNO xoxoxo

    I had so much fun, the crowd was so into the concert, everyone was enjoying the night. The group was amazing. This was one of my favorite concerts. The area was great, lots of parking and security.

    Same as above. They played all the songs that I wanted them to play. They did an amazing job and I would have to say it was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to, and I couldn’t be happier with the show.

    Grupo Frontera preformed amazingly! They sang ALL of their hit songs and sound great! It was one of the best concert experiences I have had. I sang my heart out and I would see them again!

    Grupo Frontera is fantastic. I love this musical group. His music is amazing. Going to one of his concerts is a unique experience that you have to experiencing. I love them and I’m waiting to see them again….=)

    Good performance. Good seats. Good view. Only thing I would complain about was the lighting.
