About

Gretchen Wilson made headlines as a country star when her debut single “Redneck Woman” reached the top of the country singles chart. She was the first country artist to do that in years, and her single was the quickest to reach No. 1 in decades. Wilson’s country twang, sassy attitude and deep, soulful vocals draw fans to her concerts and tours, and the honesty in songs like “Redneck Woman” are her ticket to superstardom. Wilson’s most recent release, on her own record label (Redneck), is Christmas in My Heart – the last of three released in 2013, which include Right on Time and Under the Covers as the first two.

Wilson had a rough upbringing in rural Illinois, but she credits her girlhood with instilling in her the tough and strong attitude that makes her so popular with fans. At the age of 15, Wilson was discovered singing in bars and joined her first band, Sam-A-Lama. While “Redneck Woman” shot to the top of the charts and also earned her a 2004 Grammy Award, Wilson has released other successful tunes, like 2004’s “Here for the Party,” which reached the No. 3 spot on the Country Singles chart and the No. 39 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, and 2005’s “Homewrecker,” which reached No. 2 on the Country Singles chart and No. 42 on the Billboard Hot 100. Wilson has come into her own as the head of her own label, and with the three new records she put out in 2013, she has proven that she remains a strong, powerful presence in the country music industry.

Have always loved the redneck woman, being a redneck myself. One of the greatest country rock voices out there. Great new songs as well. Band was great. One of the best things about someone having to "start over' is also getting to see in smaller venues--was very nice. She sure can put on a show--the only issue I had with the show was TOO SHORT--only an hour long for the money is, well, a little brief....

  • Awesome!

Awesome show overall. Need to only book one show per night and perform longer. I left wanting much more. Sound mix was a bit off- lead vocals too low, too much kick drum.

  • Gretchen Wilson was Great!!

I had a great time at the Gretchen Wilson concert. She played some of her new songs she is working on as well as some of her big hits like Here For The Party, Word hard, Play Harder & Homewrecker. She recognized past, present, and future military members by making them stand up. The entire theater filled with applause when this happened. Her band then played and instrumental version of the Star Spangled Banner and once everyone in the theater realized that, everyone stood, the military members even saluted. For her encore song she did Redneck Woman, great song and great encore. This was my first time seeing Gretchen Wilson live in concert. I decided to take my girlfriend who is a Gretchen Wilson fan too, we both had a great time.

  • Gretchen Wilson really knows how to entertain!!

Ms. Gretchen Wilson was a thrill to watch LIVE..... !!!! My surprised date, (the devouted country music Fan), was absolutely enamored with my favorite VENUE choice, and equally impressed with the entire performance, as was I. Shaking Gretchen's hand at the end of the concert and both of us receiving a G.W. guitar pic at random, too, made us both feel that much more LUCKY........ Gretchen was very acute to her fan's satisfaction requirements and fulfilled them to the utmost level, all so very exciting in a LIVE show. We truly enjoyed this smaller, exposition in a lesser capacity VENUE such as the Northern Lights Stage in the Potowatomi Casino at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It is OBVIOUS the rest of the sell-out crowd did too. Brian & Roxanne !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • GRETCHEN WILSON LIVE/ INDIAN RANCH

by JACKIENAME on 8/15/12Indian Ranch - WebsterRating: 4 out of 5

It was a great show. I would recommend Indian Ranch for any concert. The prices a reasonable, the seats were great and it was outside. No stuffy feeling or overcrowded feeling. I would go there in a second before I would go to an indoor concert.

I have to say, I got sucked into going to this concert by a friend. I am not a country music fan! But this concert was one of the best I had ever been to! I had a blast and so enjoyed it that I recommended her to friends and the venue was fantastic!

Gretchen gave an amazing concert. I don't think there was one person there not clapping, singing, or dancing. Gretchen will forever be in our hearts. She was able to sign a Tshirt for us for my sister who is dying. She was suppose to at the concert with us that day but couldn't make it. We have sent her the shirt and when her time comes we will keep it with us. Thank you so much to Gretchen and those who helped us get the Tshirt signed.

  • Indian Ranch was ROCKING!!!!!!!!!

by aspillane on 8/14/12Indian Ranch - WebsterRating: 5 out of 5

Gretchen Wilson has certainly grown into her performance chops! Saw her a few years ago in NH and thought "She's OK, glad the tickets were comped." Sunday she was rocking. Since starting her new lable, Redneck Records, her music has gotten edgier and much more fun. She did a lot of her old standards but also covered Foreigner and debuted a lot of new music. Listen for "ONE GOOD FRIEND" to come out soon (hopefully) Right now available on ITUNES but she promised a new CD by year end.

  • All Jacked Up!!!

by Arnao on 8/14/12Indian Ranch - WebsterRating: 5 out of 5

Gretchen Wilson had us all jacked up. She acted as if the stage were her living room and we were all guests. She was personable, engaging & had a great selection of songs.

  • Gretchen Wilson-Indian Ranch 8/12/12

    by sheephead24 on 8/14/12Indian Ranch - WebsterRating: 4 out of 5

Gretchen put on a great show, but way too short. She was the headliner and played for barely more than 1 hour. She sounded great, but should have played a few more songs. The only other complaint was that she played at least 3 covers while skipping a few of her most famous songs. She would have gotten 5 stars if played longer.
