Gretchen Wilson made headlines as a country star when her debut single “Redneck Woman” reached the top of the country singles chart. She was the first country artist to do that in years, and her single was the quickest to reach No. 1 in decades. Wilson’s country twang, sassy attitude and deep, soulful vocals draw fans to her concerts and tours, and the honesty in songs like “Redneck Woman” are her ticket to superstardom. Wilson’s most recent release, on her own record label (Redneck), is Christmas in My Heart – the last of three released in 2013, which include Right on Time and Under the Covers as the first two.
Wilson had a rough upbringing in rural Illinois, but she credits her girlhood with instilling in her the tough and strong attitude that makes her so popular with fans. At the age of 15, Wilson was discovered singing in bars and joined her first band, Sam-A-Lama. While “Redneck Woman” shot to the top of the charts and also earned her a 2004 Grammy Award, Wilson has released other successful tunes, like 2004’s “Here for the Party,” which reached the No. 3 spot on the Country Singles chart and the No. 39 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, and 2005’s “Homewrecker,” which reached No. 2 on the Country Singles chart and No. 42 on the Billboard Hot 100. Wilson has come into her own as the head of her own label, and with the three new records she put out in 2013, she has proven that she remains a strong, powerful presence in the country music industry.

But ever worse than that was the light show that went on through the entire performance. It was a bunch of flashing bright lights in your face which was annoying in itself, but also made it harder to see her performance. I had my eyes closed for half the show.

She shared personal info and we also all were able to purchase a signed not yet released cd! I would go see her again and recommend anyone who likes country or rock and roll to go see her

The band was spectacular, incredibly tight and featuring a virtuoso persofmance by drummer Ron Gannaway. Gretchen's vocals were unforgettable. So it was a fantastic concert. But it was more than that. Gretchen is magnetic. She has stage presence to burn and she can connect with an audiance like no one I've ever seen. You must see her; she's the real thing.

Felt like I was hanging out with a cool, crazy, funny, rocker chick that was my buddy and we were jamming out, she was very interactive with everyone and is an awesome singer! The girl is the real deal very down to earth, she took time to shake hands with everyone after the show! The only thing that would have been better would be going mud riding on 4-wheelers with her!! Great concert-- highly recommend you go see her! The 2 girls on the front row center had a blast,

DUETS AND THE LIKE WERE MUCH BETTER. BOUGHT ONE OF HER NEW CDs AND LISTENED TO IT ON THE WAY HOME. A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE! WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO LEARN?

I can honestly say I now understand just why her fans love her so much. Between her and her band members, they kept the crowed involved throughout the entire show. I fully enjoyed the show and intend to come again next year.

Yes the music was great, but I don't think my car had enough time to get cold in the parking ramp, that's how short the show was. Then again for only $35 I guess you get what you pay for.

The event hall was great a little crowded though. The only thing I didn't care for was how short the show was. She has so much more material she could've done. Definitely a must see show. She sounds just as good live as she does on her cd's
