Gretchen Wilson made headlines as a country star when her debut single “Redneck Woman” reached the top of the country singles chart. She was the first country artist to do that in years, and her single was the quickest to reach No. 1 in decades. Wilson’s country twang, sassy attitude and deep, soulful vocals draw fans to her concerts and tours, and the honesty in songs like “Redneck Woman” are her ticket to superstardom. Wilson’s most recent release, on her own record label (Redneck), is Christmas in My Heart – the last of three released in 2013, which include Right on Time and Under the Covers as the first two.
Wilson had a rough upbringing in rural Illinois, but she credits her girlhood with instilling in her the tough and strong attitude that makes her so popular with fans. At the age of 15, Wilson was discovered singing in bars and joined her first band, Sam-A-Lama. While “Redneck Woman” shot to the top of the charts and also earned her a 2004 Grammy Award, Wilson has released other successful tunes, like 2004’s “Here for the Party,” which reached the No. 3 spot on the Country Singles chart and the No. 39 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, and 2005’s “Homewrecker,” which reached No. 2 on the Country Singles chart and No. 42 on the Billboard Hot 100. Wilson has come into her own as the head of her own label, and with the three new records she put out in 2013, she has proven that she remains a strong, powerful presence in the country music industry.

Love everything about the concert her and her bad was mind blowing
Second time I've been to one of her concerts. Great time. She mingles well with the audience and her singing? Amazing! She's got a great set of pipes! She can really belt. Can't wait to see her again
Entertaining show from begining until the end. Very profesional but also warm to the audiance. Strong amazing voice and good showmanship. Realy knows how to PARTY. The entire band was tight and powerful. Very little down time just hard hitting music. She is extremely SEXY and great to look at. She controls the show "She is the BOSS".
She rocked the place and the crowed was lively great time.
Gretchen Wilson's performance at Vernon Downs was incredible! Her voice was perfect and her singing amazing! The band behind her was on fire, and the night was unforgettable. She really connected with the audience and had a real stage presence.
Gretchen sure does put on a show! She sang her heart out even tho it was a benefit concert and we only paid $15 for the tickets....I promptly went out and bought her 2 new albums...everybody was having a great time! She opened the gates to the pit and said, "come on down"....the two teenagers I had with me were awestruck and promptly said...."can we?" and they did...it made their week...it is all they have talked about.
Please let me start by saying we were spoiled by Paul McCartney in Brooklyn a week ago; Paul performed for close to 3 hours and he will be 71 yr old tomorrow. Gretchen who will turn 40; looked younger and hotter than I expected BUT we felt gyped in that she only performed for just a little more than ONE HOUR and didn't come back out to sign autographs like she did elsewhere. Sorry Gretchen Mark
Had a great time at Gretchen Wilson's concert. Almost caught a tee shirt....missed it by a hair:>( Anyway....band was phenomenal as well. Loved that they played some rock & roll.
Amazing show Gretchen!! Loving the new songs too!! only downfall is the seating :(
Great night under the stars with my wife listening to great music Thank you Ticketmaster and Gretchen Wilson.
Her show was fantastic. Band is the best I've heard in a long time. I would see her again. Wish the show was longer.
The Gretchen Wilson show was amazing! She was the down home girl that I loved to hear from her music. She acted as though she was one of her fans sitting in the crowd & very personal! Also a great mix of her very new stuff in with her old stuff as well as a few covers!!!
Well, We Thougth we were going to hear our favorite Gretchen Wilson songs; but, 40% of what we DID hear was, BOSTON; FOREINGER; JOE WALSH; ZEPPLIN; etc. etc. We already saw most of those bands live, so we bought GRETCHEN WILSON tickets to hear HER song! Instead, we hear too many covers. On the way home, we listened to about 5 or 6 excellent Gretchen songs (Come to Bed, 1 of the Boys, etc.) that she COULD have done live, but instead she fell in love with Mick Jones. She did good covers of those songs, but so did my High School rock band. So, we felt cheated and robbed of what could have been a Great Gretchen Wilson show. Also, by only playing for just over 1 hour, she and her band came across as rather lazy. She should have charged a little more for her tickets and took an intermission half way thru show, and played until 10:00 PM. Another screw up was WHY THE HELL DOESN'T SHE THROW AN OPENING ACT UP ON STAGE!! THE CROWD WOULD BE MORE INTO HER SHOW, AND SHE WOULDN'T HAVE TO END HER SHOW ONLY 1/2 HOUR AFTER SUNSET. AT THE Tioga Downs show, the total time her brother was selling her T shirts was 3 or 4 times as long as her concert was.
This was one of the best shows I have seen in a long time. She never stopped singing and never took a break . She and her band were outstanding. I would go see her again. I would tell everybody next time go and see her. One Great show.
The concert was amazing!!!!! I would go see her again.
Out of all the concerts that I've been to this one was not worth the money. Very disappointed..The show was only for one hour. If I would of known that, I would not have spent the money for a ticket. I heard the same complaint from others. They should of played longer.
Ms. Wilson is not country any more, but has gone rock-n-roll. Music was so loud that I had to ask for a pair of earplugs. I was expecting song of her old songs but was sorely disappointed.
Good time, Gretchen Wilson , what a voice. But stay with country, rock doesn't work real well.
We expected a fun night out. We did not expect the kick-your-a$$, sing along and hold your drink in the air experience we had. Gretchen was completely authentic and so fun to party with. A truly great night - we will go to her shows again anytime!
