Gretchen Wilson made headlines as a country star when her debut single “Redneck Woman” reached the top of the country singles chart. She was the first country artist to do that in years, and her single was the quickest to reach No. 1 in decades. Wilson’s country twang, sassy attitude and deep, soulful vocals draw fans to her concerts and tours, and the honesty in songs like “Redneck Woman” are her ticket to superstardom. Wilson had a rough upbringing in rural Illinois, but she credits her girlhood with instilling in her the tough and strong attitude that makes her so popular with fans. At the age of 15, Wilson was discovered singing in bars and joined her first band, Sam-A-Lama. While “Redneck Woman” shot to the top of the charts and also earned her a 2004 Grammy Award, Wilson has released other successful tunes, like 2004’s “Here for the Party,” which reached the No. 3 spot on the Country Singles chart and the No. 39 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, and 2005’s “Homewrecker,” which reached No. 2 on the Country Singles chart and No. 42 on the Billboard Hot 100. Wilson has come into her own as the head of her own label, and with the three new records she put out in 2013, she has proven that she remains a strong, powerful presence in the country music industry.

She was amazing. She sounds as great in concert as she does on the radio! The band was awesome! I would pay to see her over and over, I only wish they played longer!
Gretchen came out on stage and sang her heart out. This is the second time I saw her first time opened for Kenny Chesney. I thought she was great then. Now she is fantastic.
Best concert ever Gretchen was simply outstanding. High energy the seats were wonderful loved every moment.

I have seen all three of her NY area performances since 2006 and each time the show gets better, the band tighter, and her stage persona more relaxed and authentic. The show starts pedal to the metal and never lets up until the final notes of "Redneck Woman". Check her concert schedule and find a show near you and go, you will not be disappointed and even if you have never heard a single song, you will have a great time.
Her energy was unbelievable from beginning to the end. The band was great. If you get a chance to see her-don't pass it up.

There was no opening act and Gretchen Wilson's portion of the concert was surprisingly short. The seats were good, but anyone was allowed to come stand right up in front of the stage.
I took my Grandaughter to this concert, she is only twenty years old. Her and I could not sit still. We had so much fun dancing by our seats. She commented on how much of the songs related to real life, I think she has really gotten to enjoy country music. I especially enjoyed it because Gretchen does not dress slutty or use a lot of bad language. GRETCHEN ROCKS MY WORLD!!!!!!!!!!
I am not a country music fan, I went to the show becuase my wife really wanted to go. My tastes run much more towards all forms of rock. Gretchens show has so many southern rock roots that I had an absolute blast. Now If she would just lose that dang country steel guitar I would be a confirmed fan, lol... But seriously I highly recommend this show for anyone into country or southern rock.
Took my niece for her 21st birthday to Vegas, decided to throw in the Gretchen Wilson concert as a surprise bonus. Damn glad I did, she was amazing and the venue was wonderful. HAd really good seats at a reasonable price. I will checking out who's playing here for any future trips. Short drive on nothing but Interstate so the time went quickly and if you have shoppers they have a big outlet mall there also.
I loved the show. Great Girls night out. Party all night long. She played some new songs that were really good.
I AM FIGHTING IN A CHARITY BOXING MATCH IN OCTOBER AND HAVE CHOSEN TO USE REDNECK WOMAN AS MY THEME SONG.
The music and energy was good but I believe she cut the performance short. She talked about doing 4-5 songs from her coming album but only did two. Concert was 75 minutes.
She was HOT all the way and the new disc it goign to be a hit!
Well....The concert was amazing.....She looked beautiful and sounded Great!... however, i always like when you leave a concert and you can say " WOW there's not a song that they didn't play!!!' Gretchen kinda left me hearning for more. She played most of her hits, a couple new songs from her forthcoming album and a few cover tunes. Her rendition of Heart's Barracuda was spot on. She really can rock out! But I kept waiting for her to sing 'One of the Boys' Can't believe she didn't play that one! Oh Well ..overall it was definitely worth what I paid to sit/stand in the 5th row with my friends and enjoy another beautiful night of awesome music in Albuquerque. :)
I go to concerts a lot and after having seen Gretchen Wilson at a previous venue a few years back, she still puts on such an awesome show! Tons of fun, great sound, and fans finally started standing up and having more fun towards the end thankfully. Love love love Gretchen Wilson and can not wait for her new CD! For it being my first show at the Sandia Amphitheatre, too, I was pleseantly impressed and would definitely go back.
What a little powerhouse ! She put on the best show I have seen . So much talent ! Not only is she a great entertainer she supports awesome charities as well. Such as donating part of T-shirt revenue to women and childrens safe houses. She is very military and veteran oriented. Which we appreciate very much since my husband is a retired Viet Nam Vet. Just an over all outstanding concert ! Hope she comes back soon.
