Gretchen Wilson made headlines as a country star when her debut single “Redneck Woman” reached the top of the country singles chart. She was the first country artist to do that in years, and her single was the quickest to reach No. 1 in decades. Wilson’s country twang, sassy attitude and deep, soulful vocals draw fans to her concerts and tours, and the honesty in songs like “Redneck Woman” are her ticket to superstardom. Wilson’s most recent release, on her own record label (Redneck), is Christmas in My Heart – the last of three released in 2013, which include Right on Time and Under the Covers as the first two.
Wilson had a rough upbringing in rural Illinois, but she credits her girlhood with instilling in her the tough and strong attitude that makes her so popular with fans. At the age of 15, Wilson was discovered singing in bars and joined her first band, Sam-A-Lama. While “Redneck Woman” shot to the top of the charts and also earned her a 2004 Grammy Award, Wilson has released other successful tunes, like 2004’s “Here for the Party,” which reached the No. 3 spot on the Country Singles chart and the No. 39 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, and 2005’s “Homewrecker,” which reached No. 2 on the Country Singles chart and No. 42 on the Billboard Hot 100. Wilson has come into her own as the head of her own label, and with the three new records she put out in 2013, she has proven that she remains a strong, powerful presence in the country music industry.

The bands put on a great show! Gretchen's voice was outstanding and powerful. Liked how she debuted her back-up singer who has a great voice too!
Gretchen Wilson Rocked ATL at Wild Bills Friday night! The set was over 2 hours and it was rocking! I would say that the sound was a bit off during most of the show, but that never stopped Gretchen from singing it out for all of us! I would go to this venue again if she decided to play here again in the future!
Disappointed by the amount of songs. Band played more than anything.
I was very disappointed when we first arrived.........I was sitting next to a 5 foot speaker in my ear.........seating chart did not show stage coming out by our seats......I would not have paid $1 for those seats let alone $60..................not sure if I would go back to that venue...........especially not those seats......being 4 rows from stage.....expected much more.......
Her show was outstanding! She was amazing and full of energy. The time just flew by and I could have listend to her for hours and hours. I have never seen her in concert and was glad we decided to go. The entire night was amazing!
This is the third time I have had the opportunity to see Gretchen live. Each of her performances top the previous. Gretchen appears to enjoy performing and genuinely appreciates her fans support.
It was much better this time compared to last time when she was sick. The only thing that I didn't enjoy was being so close to the speakers & the fans coming up the ailes & standing in front blocking the view for the rest of us.
This is the second time I've seen Gretchen at Star Plaza Theatre in Indiana. She is an amazing performer and her band is also great. I'm glad to know she has her own record label and I just think she's come a long way in her career.
The overall experience was great I sent my mom to her first concert and she wont stop talking about it. She is already asking when is the next concert
We had excellent seats and Gretchen was just amazing. She had exceptional energy during the whole show. She was interactive with the crowd and did a super oncoure. I can't wait to see her again.
HIGH ENERGY WITH LOTS OF KICKING MUSIC HER BAND WAS GREAT! 90 MINUTES OF MUSIC WITH NO INTERMISSION
im just not really a fan shes not country and shes not rock, kinda both. the sound was good and they could play well, i just couldnt relate, sorry!
The concert was way to short 20 minutes of talk and two songs from someone else.I came to see Gretchen not someone else.If you wanted me to hear someone else then should of put a warm up band first.I have saw her about 4 times and not much better than the last time she played in Merrillville when she was sick.No wonder no one wanted to but tickets for this show again. So out of all the concerts I have seen over the years and yes I have saw many this was the second shortest concert other than ZZ TOP who play until 9pm there.Gretchem played till 9:30 with to much filler
I thought gretchen wilson put on a good show.I feel the show could have been a little longer though. With no opening act it seemed a bit short. Her back up singer sang a few songs which I enjoyed, she could have had her open for her with a half dozen songs or so.Drinks were a little pricey !!!!I think food and drinks should be made more affordable when paying hard earned money to see a show.
Gretchen put on a good show, however the band drowned her out most of the time! If I didn't know the songs, and some of them I did not, I couldn't hear the words! The band is very good, but it was just too loud.
I absolutely loved it. I love Gretchen Wilson, and I love her new songs
The event started early in the day and went till about 11. Gretchen was good and full of energy, as expected.
I have attented many of her concerts and this was one of the best. She introduced some new material that was perfect. Same band who are terrific.
Once we got to see Gretchen it was great! I loved the old stuff and the new songs were fabulous. The fact that we were not aware there would be five (5) other bands performing before her was upsetting. I didn't plan to be there for seven (7) hours. I wish her well with the new direction she is taking her music. She proves beyond a doubt, that Country Can ROCK!!!
