Gretchen Wilson made headlines as a country star when her debut single “Redneck Woman” reached the top of the country singles chart. She was the first country artist to do that in years, and her single was the quickest to reach No. 1 in decades. Wilson’s country twang, sassy attitude and deep, soulful vocals draw fans to her concerts and tours, and the honesty in songs like “Redneck Woman” are her ticket to superstardom. Wilson’s most recent release, on her own record label (Redneck), is Christmas in My Heart – the last of three released in 2013, which include Right on Time and Under the Covers as the first two.
Wilson had a rough upbringing in rural Illinois, but she credits her girlhood with instilling in her the tough and strong attitude that makes her so popular with fans. At the age of 15, Wilson was discovered singing in bars and joined her first band, Sam-A-Lama. While “Redneck Woman” shot to the top of the charts and also earned her a 2004 Grammy Award, Wilson has released other successful tunes, like 2004’s “Here for the Party,” which reached the No. 3 spot on the Country Singles chart and the No. 39 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, and 2005’s “Homewrecker,” which reached No. 2 on the Country Singles chart and No. 42 on the Billboard Hot 100. Wilson has come into her own as the head of her own label, and with the three new records she put out in 2013, she has proven that she remains a strong, powerful presence in the country music industry.

The concert was great! Gretchen Wilson goes strong from start to finish! 8 Seconds needs to renovate bathrooms! They are horrible especially for a bar that gets big names. Should not have to bring a bathroom buddy to hold your door shut, plus it is a big problem to have to close a women's bathroom. Need to start improving the bathroom or will not continue going there.
We had never been to the 8 second before, so we didn't really know what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised! It is very large, but not so big to not be personal. We felt like we were in the middle of the event!! Gretchen was very gracious to her crowd and sang to them, not at them! We left almost feeling like we had spent an evening alone with her!! Thanks to Gretchen and the 8 second!! Can't wait to go back!!!!!

Gretchen's show was great - as always. She always rocks the house. The opening act that night, Cari Ray & The Loaners, was equally as good and rockin'! That Cari Ray can sing!

The event was great-but I didn't get to sit in my seat which I payed $60 for.
I love her music...but it was way too Short. She should have played longer and after the show she should have came and danced with us this year like she did last year...
I man that was one of the best I have been to! She really interacts with the crowd I would see her again!
Concert was great! She is a great singer both country & rock! She has a very talented band & she really gets the audience involved! Would see her again!!
She only performed for about an hour and only played about half of her songs. I was not pleased with this but it was very fun during the time she played.
All in all the concert was good from Gretchen. She performs her song very well. I would recommend she not talk so much between each song. She was only on stage maybe one hour and 25 minutes. She talked probably 25 minutes. Several instrumental solos and she sang about 45 minutes!!! Too short for the money we pay.

My wife and I had a real good time ;) I do have a couple of howevers, The first was there should not have been an American Flag raising at the end of the concert. The Jimmy Hendrix knockoff really didn't work, and the faux patriotism was offensive. She is a talented woman. A tremendous musician. She reminded me of Janis the first time I saw her at the Filmore. Especially the drinking part. Lets not goad her into the same fate, she is too precious to waste.

Great concert! Definitely lively, didn't know she played rock so was amazed when she sung Barracuda and many other rock songs. I love her country, she definitely speaks to me. I am telling everyone if they get a chance to see her take it, they won't regret it at all. Fantastic band, they did a rock medley and went from one into another flawlessly...led zepplin, acdc, heart.... Great show.
If you've never seen Gretchen Wilson in person - you have to go next time she is in your area !!!!!!!!!! She is amazing ! This was the fifth time I've seen her in concert and I love her music more every time I see her ! She can sing any type of music and I LOVE her southern rock. I can't say enough - GO TO ONE OF HER CONCERTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!! You'll be glad you did !
She's gotta be the best country/rock performer in the country. An amazingly warm personality, coupled with a great voice, and stage craft. Backed by a really tight and unified band, she was awesome.
She was hot! Had good seats, loved her new songs,especially, I got your country right here! and don't make me take my earrings off! hope to here them on the radio soon.was hoping maybe someone else might show up like kid rock.But it was great!
