Gretchen Wilson made headlines as a country star when her debut single “Redneck Woman” reached the top of the country singles chart. She was the first country artist to do that in years, and her single was the quickest to reach No. 1 in decades. Wilson’s country twang, sassy attitude and deep, soulful vocals draw fans to her concerts and tours, and the honesty in songs like “Redneck Woman” are her ticket to superstardom. Wilson’s most recent release, on her own record label (Redneck), is Christmas in My Heart – the last of three released in 2013, which include Right on Time and Under the Covers as the first two.
Wilson had a rough upbringing in rural Illinois, but she credits her girlhood with instilling in her the tough and strong attitude that makes her so popular with fans. At the age of 15, Wilson was discovered singing in bars and joined her first band, Sam-A-Lama. While “Redneck Woman” shot to the top of the charts and also earned her a 2004 Grammy Award, Wilson has released other successful tunes, like 2004’s “Here for the Party,” which reached the No. 3 spot on the Country Singles chart and the No. 39 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, and 2005’s “Homewrecker,” which reached No. 2 on the Country Singles chart and No. 42 on the Billboard Hot 100. Wilson has come into her own as the head of her own label, and with the three new records she put out in 2013, she has proven that she remains a strong, powerful presence in the country music industry.

Gretchen always put 100% into her shows. This is the 13th time I have seen Gretchen with no dissapointments. When my husband asked me what I wanted for my birthday of courseit was to see Gretchen Wilson! Here's to number 14!
Gretchen was on fire!!!! She talked to the audience her show was like fireworks from beginning to end. We had a blast!!!!
Absolutely Awesome!!! This girl can really belt them out and such a voice! I took a friend that had never heard of Gretchen and now she is going to go buy her CD's!!! As always, the country was great, what i know her for, but she sang some rock and roll that was of the chart!! Her band is absolutely phenominal. The only little complaint i had was that the band was so loud at times it was hard to hear all of her lyrics clearly. I have seen her 3 times and will go again and again and again! Yeah, for Southern Rock!!!
This was the best concert I have seen her give. It was fun with a mix of old and new songs with a bit of rock-n-roll mixed in. Thiis is the first time I have seen or heard a female do southern rock.
Gretchen is a great singer and her band was awesome...... Next time she is in town I'll check her out again!!! Not only is she Country that girl can ROCK it out!!! Wow....
I know she loves to rock, but I was expecting a bit more country and a little longer performance. Her band was awesome with their Jimi Hendrix version of the National Anthem and their intermission medly!
Gretchen was awsome!!! Lots of energy, fun and great talent.
My husband and I have seen Gretchen Wilson six times, each better than the last. Gretchen has some fantastic pipes. I love how she sings country and classic rock favorites to everything in between. Her new stuff rocks! She has a wonderfully entertaining stage presence, well worth the price of admission!!! A MUST SEE FOR SURE, MUST SEE SEVERAL TIMES THAT IS!!!!!
Gretchen Wilson put on a good show. I say good because I am only familiar with a few of her songs. The most famous one "Redneck Woman" is my favorite. She sang many rock songs which I didn't care for. Don't get me wrong, she sang great. It's just that I was in the mood for more country songs, more of her own songs. That's all.
We loved her show. the only complaint is the show was to short, only 1 hour and 20 minutes. her show started at 8 and ended at 10 20.
I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO LA FAIR FOR A CONCERT BEFORE, SO GLAD I GOT SECTION 3, THE SIDE SEATS ARE WAY TO THE SIDE , DON'T KNOW HOW WELL YOU COULD SEE THE STAGE. GETTING INTO YHE CONCERT WAS CRAZY. DIDN;T OPEN THE DOORS TILL 15 MINUTES LATE AND IT WAS SOO DISORGINIZED. WE WERE LIKE A HERD OF CATTLE RUSHING IN. GRETCHEN ROCKED THO. SHE WAS A LOT OF FUN AND SOUNDED GREAT. MY HUSBAND DIDNT KNOW HER AT ALL AND HE WAS TOTALLY CONVERTED. WELL WORTH THE TICKET PRICE
Concert was great. Entering event could have been more organized.
Tickets for our box seats were waiting at will call, and we had no problems getting to the correct seats. The performance was everything we had hoped for. Gretchen is worth every penny and she really knows how to work the crowd! Played a bit of Rock and Roll as well as her well known country hits. A great evening.
Gretchen Wilson was great. We loved the mixture of Country and Rock and Roll. She is hot with a voice to match. We have seen her before and this concert was the best. REDNECK WOMEN IS HERE TO STAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love your concerts Gretchen
Played all her country standardsplus forenign,led zeppellin,heart,and songs from her new cd, ,that was more like rock than country. I was very happy i chose to buy tickets to see her.Lot better than i expected.
I've been to way too many Rock, Country, and festival concerts to count. If i just want to hear someone sing, I'll listen to my ipod, or the radio. This woman is a PERFORMER ! My God, and her vocals......!!!!! Jeez, and her band...!!!!!! High energy, and really entertaining.Had a GREAT time. One of the best concerts i've been to.
The concert sucked. It was supposed to start at 7:30 pm. They didn't open the doors till then & it was insane- crowded, people pushing, shoving etc. The band was so loud the music was all distorted. You could not really her the words of her singing. just screaching/screaming. There are others I would like to see at the LA county fair but this was one BAD experience!
Venue: My complaint would be that the band speakers were louder than Gretchen’s microphone. They seemed to drown her out a bit. Music: I loved her new music and give her kudos for branching out on her own record label. I would definitely see her again.
We loved the concert. Gretchen and her band were so great and we loved that she did some old, some new, and added in music to show her great rocker side. Her band was so amazing too. Her back up singer/tamborine player was quite distracting, sometimes taking attention off the star. Don't know why we weren't let in, in a timely manner with the crowd getting rather impatient but overall, loved the concert. Would definately go see her again!
Gretchen has an amazing voice! Her cover of "Barracuda" was phenomenal. Songs from her next CD were true "southern country rock". Her enthusiasm was boundless and the band was formidable. Most importantly, her fans showed up vociferously! The cheering and singing in the audience was loud and loving. The venue wasn't the greatest, but she made the best of it.
