I thought the show was great. Songs were amazing. The only issue is they played for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
The doors to the venue opened on time and the band started on time. Grand Funk Railroad sounded great after 50+ years of playing amazing rock & roll music. It was great to see original GFR bandmates Mel Schacter on base and Don Brewer on drums. They are both still very good at what they so. They also had some other great musicians playing with them. The only way it could have been better is if Mark Farner was there! I would see them again in a heartbeat! Thanks for the memories.
I wasn't sure what to expect at this show as the guys are in their '70's now, but we were pleasantly surprised! They played all their early hits and did them well. The entire Great Cedar Showroom at Foxwoods was on their feet during Locomotion and We're An American Band, which sounded just as I remember from my high school days in the '70's. I highly recommend seeing this band and would go again if I could.
GFR never disappoints, They plays a great set and rock all the way through. They played Rock N Roll Soul, Footstompin Music, HeartBreaker, Shinin On, Walk Like A Man, Second Chance, Sky High, Devils Daughter, Were An American Band, Closer to Home, the National Anthem into Inside looking Out, Locomotion, and Some Kind Of Wonderful. The band is super tight, they just sound great. This addition of GFR Mark 6 has these members. DON BREWER (ORIGINAL MEMBER) DRUMS LEAD AND BACKING VOCALS. MEL SCHACHER (ORIGINAL MEMBER) BASS. TIM CASION KEYBOARDS AND BACKING VOCALS. MAX CARL LEAD AND BACKING VOCALS, GUITAR, HARMONICA, PERCUSSION AND SOMETIMES KEYBOARDS. MARK CHATFIELD GUITAR AND BACKING VOCALS. NEWIST MEMBER (GODZ, BOB SEGAR AND FLINT). I can highly recommend seeing GFR.
We loved the show incredibly. Amazing sound, voices and setup. So refreshing to be able to see great bands in a controlled safe theater. Thank you for a smooth entrance to the theater.
Show was great didn't care for the way they ended it... Also no merchandise for sale... Person was sick and not a thing for sale for the current tour on the GFR web site..
The concert was ok they only played 80 minutes and didn't play that many songs kept extending the ones they did and kept saying wrong place they were at. Should have played more popular songs than the ones they did.
Grand Funk Railroad proved they are a Great American Band!!
Great show. The drummer was a sight to see and listen to all alone. Would go see them again.
Great to hear the oldies once again! Hard Rock Hotel & Casino needs to be in better control though of the concert patrons. Many guests just sat in front row seats who didn't have tickets for there..then just moved again to wherever they wanted. People walking in the aisles standing in front of us dancing. Now I love dancing too, but when I buy 3rd row tickets it peeves me when someone comes from who knows where and stands right in front of me. Just my honest opinion....but the band rocked!
The concert was fantastic. I forgot how great these 2 bands were and they got greater with time. I remember getting my first Grand Funk album over 50 years ago and to finally see them after all these years was a dream
Grand Funk was awesome and I looked forward to this show and had lots of fun, especially doing the locomotion. They still are an American band.
What a fantastic show still got what it takes. Enjoyed every minute of the show
Foghat was excellent! Guitars were jamming on Slowride! Grand Funk Railroad was fun to sing and dance to.
Very good venue to see an event. Only seats 1400 people so no bad seats at all. Sound system was good. Both Foghat and GFR were good and energetic. Very long intermission, so Foghat played less than an hour and GFR played about an hour and fifteen minutes. Would see both again.
We had a great time! Love the venue, Sound Waves at the Hard Rock. Smaller venue so really no bad seats. Foghat rocked the house! We’ve seen Grand Funk a few times, they always deliver. A great evening of music with friends and family.
Wow, what a fun great show! Venue was great and the band sang the favorites and didn't miss a beat. Saluting our American flag was awesome too!
These guys sounded great! Lots of energy and awesome playing and singing. Thanks for a great night out!
The band played for less than an hour wasn’t worth the 3.5 hour ride to see a 45 to 50 minute show.
Great time. Both bands were excellent and so was the venue.
