Goose released their debut album in 2016 and quickly took flight, playing countless shows while steadily amassing a fervent fan following for their unique brand of irresistible songcraft, fluid musicianship, and spirited improvisational performance. 2022 proved a career-defining year for the Connecticut-based quintet with their critically acclaimed third studio album, Dripfield. Fueled by such hypnotic tracks as "Hungersite" (which spent multiple weeks among the top 10 at Triple A radio outlets nationwide), the album proved a phenomenon, debuting at #2 on Billboard's "Top New Artist Albums" chart amidst critical applause from such national outlets as Rolling Stone, which hailed it as "both sweet headphone ear candy and the foundation for a perfect live peak."
Known for their exuberant grooves and incendiary bursts of musical exploration, Goose has spent much of the past decade on a seemingly infinite tour schedule that includes sold-out headline shows at such renowned venues as Morrison, CO's Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Nashville, TN's Ryman Auditorium, and New York City's hallowed Radio City Music Hall; a sold-out co-headline run alongside Trey Anastasio Band; a sold-out EU/UK headline tour, and show-stealing appearances at such festivals as Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, Austin City Limits Music Festival, Newport Folk Festival, Electric Forest, and Dead & Company's Playing In The Sand in Riviera Cancun, MX. Recent highlights also include a sold-out, five-night run at Port Chester, NY's historic Capitol Theater and 2023's 10th annual Goosemas holiday celebration at Hampton, VA's famed Hampton Coliseum, as well as TV performances on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live!, NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and CBS Saturday Morning.
Goose are: Rick Mitarotonda (vocals, guitar), Peter Anspach (vocals, keys, guitar), Trevor Weekz (bass), Jeff Arevalo (vocals, percussion, drums) and Cotter Ellis (drums).
Non stop jamming. Doesn’t get better than Goose! Venue was super cool!.
I like the fact that they have pretty lights.. and the fact that they know how to “burn 🔥 it down” in all aspects of a high energy setting.
GOOSEMAS X was TRANSFORMATIVE. 2 Nights of FUN, talent & creativity that were OUT OF THIS WORLD! I’M 100% SOLD ON GOOSE. Guest appearance by Legendary Bruce Hornsby was the BOOST at the MOTHERSHIP. Hampton Coliseum for the WIN. I’m still floating from the planetary journey. THESE GUYS ARE THE FUTURE!
Very slow process to gain entry to the venue from the line . Not enough screening lines and not enough guidance on what you could expect Cigarettes seemed to be a big problem I don’t smoke but it really slowed down the process
There aren’t enough superlatives to describe this event. The venue, the lights, the vibe and of course the band were amazing. Covers were so fun, and special appearance by Bruce Hornsby was one I’ll never forget. Can’t wait to see them again!
Best shows I’ve ever seen at the Hampton Coliseum dating back to 1989!! Was pure joy! Can’t wait for another especially the jam bands!! Go Goooooooosssseeeee!!!
This was my 30th show in 3 years and they just get better every...single...time. You never know what they are going to do. Who breaks out 11 live debut covers over 2 end of year shows that range in genres from Justin Timberlake and Michael Jackson to Jimi Hendricks, Talking Heads, and Kool and the Gang? Love these guys, and happy for their success, and look forward to seeing them for the next 3 decades.
Goosemas far exceeded my expectations and the band was amazing both nights. It was my fist opportunity to check them out and I’ll definitely be seeing more Goose in the future!!!
The acoustics were bad. Could not understand a word they sang. Lights were great atmosphere was great. The sound should have been better. It was bad enough we did not use the second nights tickets. First time a was able to see Goose, I really enjoy their music. Unfortunately the sound quality was not there for me.
Wow!!! The lighting, the mood, the cool sleek jams, the soaring riffs. Thank you for carrying the torch♥️🙏🌈
I've been seeing Goose since 2017 when they were playing bars and the extent to which they have grown is unbelievable. This Goosemas in particular was spectacular. Everything from the lights and stage production to the song choices and performances were excellent. Truly a top tier band and honestly the best you can hope to see in this genre of music. All around A+ performance.
45 shows in and I have learned this.. They can play their instruments well. They can also use their voices well.
The best show I've seen all year! An amazing experience so much energy!!
clean venue with a two day musical trip to end the year. Goosemas has me in the post show blues in the office Monday morning. i will be back to see Goose without a doubt and to the Hampton Coliseum for other performances.
All aboard the mothership! One of the best shows I’ve been to. Goose is on a hold another level. Amazing show all around. Was taking off to Outer space.
we had so much fun! lights were awesome and music was fantastic, as always!
Best weekend I've had all year ! Goose definitely did their thang. So appreciative for this band, so few bands have "That Magic", only a handful of bands have it, and Goose has it in spades. They're PHENOMENAL !! 🪿💓
Everything was amazing. Hopefully seating will be assigned next time to help alleviate some of the lines pre show.
Goose is Great ! Nice job making the transition from smaller venues to the Mothership. Production, lights etc. was first class. Sound: pretty damn good. Theme: a little disjointed but fun. Covers: some were great, others 🤷♂️ Guests: a little light (more would be nice)
Lines to get in were unorganized and a complete mess. Not enough staff outside or inside. Limited drink options, with unfriendly staff and Luke warm drinks. Worst concessions I’ve experienced in years. Complete unorganized mess!! Will likely NEVER return.
