About

Goose released their debut album in 2016 and quickly took flight, playing countless shows while steadily amassing a fervent fan following for their unique brand of irresistible songcraft, fluid musicianship, and spirited improvisational performance. 2022 proved a career-defining year for the Connecticut-based quintet with their critically acclaimed third studio album, Dripfield. Fueled by such hypnotic tracks as "Hungersite" (which spent multiple weeks among the top 10 at Triple A radio outlets nationwide), the album proved a phenomenon, debuting at #2 on Billboard's "Top New Artist Albums" chart amidst critical applause from such national outlets as Rolling Stone, which hailed it as "both sweet headphone ear candy and the foundation for a perfect live peak."

Known for their exuberant grooves and incendiary bursts of musical exploration, Goose has spent much of the past decade on a seemingly infinite tour schedule that includes sold-out headline shows at such renowned venues as Morrison, CO's Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Nashville, TN's Ryman Auditorium, and New York City's hallowed Radio City Music Hall; a sold-out co-headline run alongside Trey Anastasio Band; a sold-out EU/UK headline tour, and show-stealing appearances at such festivals as Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, Austin City Limits Music Festival, Newport Folk Festival, Electric Forest, and Dead & Company's Playing In The Sand in Riviera Cancun, MX. Recent highlights also include a sold-out, five-night run at Port Chester, NY's historic Capitol Theater and 2023's 10th annual Goosemas holiday celebration at Hampton, VA's famed Hampton Coliseum, as well as TV performances on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live!, NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and CBS Saturday Morning.

Goose are: Rick Mitarotonda (vocals, guitar), Peter Anspach (vocals, keys, guitar), Trevor Weekz (bass),  Jeff Arevalo (vocals, percussion, drums) and Cotter Ellis (drums).

    UNBELIEVABLE

by RC Wray on 12/13/23Hampton Coliseum - Hampton

An incredible two nights at The Mothership! Goose clearly planned this out well and put forth much effort to create a two day Christmas Fest for the ages. The lights and sound were off the charts (lookout Kuroda!). The jamming was stellar and sounded extremely fresh and energetic. Thank you!!

    The wrong mix

by Ramjet on 12/13/23Hampton Coliseum - Hampton

The sound system was a disaster IMHO. Mostly all we could hear was the bass and drums bouncing round the room... Live streaming provides me with much better sound... in person is much better for the light show but streaming provides close-ups...I prefer the close-ups. Goose has the potential to be as big as any festival band. I wish more of their music was available on CD and DVD.. Regarding Ticketmaster... I am done with the electronic ticketing....the experience was terrible. Ramjet- 0ver 50 years of attending live shows...

    Fantastic Show!!! Love GOOSE!

by Lynne Van Akin on 12/13/23Hampton Coliseum - Hampton

Lengthy, but please bear with me: 1. Loved the new cover songs! 2. The musicality is exceptional - they really know how to jam!! 3. Jeff (Jeb) is an exceptional signer - never knew this before and band should have him solo more often 4. Exceptional crowd of people - young and old alike (I'm old!) but my 24 y.o. son LOVED it - was his first show and my 2nd Goose show. 5. Band needs to move around the stage a bit more when possible, for those of us with ADD. LOL 6. One criticism, I don't think the band acknowledges/talks to the audience enough in between songs. I'd like them to "welcome"people to the show, thank them for coming, and just generally interact more with their audience, as this is what a in-person show expectation is and makes for a much more enjoyable experience for fans. 7. Not a huge fan of general admission, but if it helps keeps the ticket prices down, I'm ok with it. 8. Goose is only band I can listen to on continual repeat and not get bored! 9. GO SEE THEM! 10. GO SEE THEM AGAIN!!

    Goose Joy Goosemas Boy

by Doug From Portland on 12/13/23Hampton Coliseum - Hampton

Goose continues to exceed my expectations with nearly every show! Goosemas X was pure fire and truly a special 2-day show set after their first Europe tour. Their intuitive listening/playing with their band members and guests is tight and very fun to hear live. Day 1 with First Time Played songs by Justin Timberlake - Mirrors, Michael Jackson - Man in the Mirror, Jimi Hendrix - Fire, Kings of Leon - Sex On Fire, brought the Heat. Day 2 featuring Bruce Hornsby trading lyrics with Rick on The Way It Is was a very special song and made for heart happy dancing and much fan respect for Bruce. Also another amazing group of FTP songs included Post Malone - Circles, Nena - 99 Red Balloons, Vampire Weekend - Big Blue, John Kellette - I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles, ELO - Jungle, Creedence Clearwater Revival - Run Through The Jungle, Kool & The Gang - Jungle Boogie. What other band crushes so many covers and has such fun respecting such a wide range of music? Go to a goose show and find out.

    Great Show

by Goose Fan. Double digit honks. on 12/12/23Hampton Coliseum - Hampton

Night two, security made me throw my pack of cigarettes and lighter out at the door. Weird experience and request from security. Never been asked to do that at any other show. Great venue. Great show. Everyone else allowed to bring anything and everything in. Maybe the security lady didn’t like my face or something. Super weird and put me in a bad mood. Changed my vibe and had a great time.

Show great - venue entry / ticketing bad

by Michael on 12/12/23Hampton Coliseum - Hampton

Show was great. Getting into the venue took over an hour. Nobody could get cell service, which was required to access your tickets.

    Hampton

by Graham on 12/12/23Hampton Coliseum - Hampton

They absolutely crushed it. Found these guys on nugs.net 4 years ago and they seemed like a band that I have been looking for since seeing the Dead and Phish back in the day. Can’t say enough good things about their live performances. The Bruce Hornsby cameo was icing on the cake.

    Speechless

by Zach R on 12/12/23Hampton Coliseum - Hampton

These guys are the best live act right now. Listening to them is fantastic, but one of their shows is simply a one of a kind experience. Night 2 of goosemas might have been one of the funnest moments of my life. Don’t pass on these guys if you’re on the fence. Now I’m depressed I have to wait so long for the next tour!

    Goose has got it !

by Geezer Goose Rocker on 12/12/23Hampton Coliseum - Hampton

1st time seeing Goose. They were pretty good. I was blown away by the first two songs on the first set on Friday. Literally japed mouth opened during the 2nd song. Jamming to the Friggin' Gods they were !!! Plus only 5 songs & 70-75 minute 1st set. 2nd set didn't reach the 1st sets jam level (really who could) but it was good. I thought Saturday's show was more subdued jamming wise. I think 10 songs were played in the 1st set (70-75 minutes) Bruce Hornsby showed up & did "that's just the way it is". Friday night they started on top of the mountain & worked their way down all show. ( but only half way down) Saturday the show was a lot more even keel. They maintained their intensity level during the Saturday show. Both nights were quite good. Friday's jamming make it my favorite. Saturday's was almost as good but light on the long jams. Light show was a surprise & a good one at that. I hope they play close enough so we can drive to see them next year. I enjoyed both shows and I'm glad I got to see Goose, Thanks guys! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all. God bless you !
