Golden Girls: The Laughs Continue (Chicago) Tickets

I bought tickets for Saturday and I thought I bought for Sunday. So sadly, I missed the whole darn thing.

My god. I grew up on Golden Girls and still watch reruns. This show with its fantastic performers was the tribute show WE ABSOLUTELY NEEDED!!!! Perfect humor Amazing breaking of the fourth wall Cast was impeccable Set design, flawless My only problems are… 1. The short run (it’s a tour and can’t stay) which is fair since the world must see this glory 2. That was it. Just the short run. I would love seeing it over again because it was soooo good!

This show is freaking hilarious! I'm a superfan of the Golden Girls, and there were some fantastic deep-cut jokes as well as jokes that cracked up even my partner, who has never seen the show! The actors were all stars and I will 100% be back when the show returns to my city.

This show should have a warning about graphic language. Tarnishes the memory of the original show and characters. I was sad and angry afterwards. Went home and watched Golden Girls reruns to try and forget about what I had just seen. Felt bad for the talented cast.

Really funny! Actor’s fabulous. I had a smile on my face for days. A must see.

I was really impressed with the actors who were spot on in their portrayal of the individual senior ladies. "Dorothy"and "Sophia"even sounded the the original characters. This play made me miss the "Golden Girls"all the more.

The show was very funny. We had seats in row q. 2 of the characters were sometimes hard to hear. But it was funny and a nice time. Not happy the garage wouldn't let me park in the closet lot.

We were at the matinee show with a large group of mostly women. This bunch was totally into the show and played along with the actors. The actors were a delight = fun and charming - and the show is just plain fun.

Golden girls was hilarious! We laughed the entire time. Not only did the actors look like the characters but sounded like them too! Worth the trip, would see again!

A bit of improv, a bit of breaking the 4th wall, a few references to other works of the original cast - the spirit of the original show was there along with reminders of why we all loved the Golden Girls! See this show if you can!

The actors really were good but the story line wasn’t very good. It was too long and kinda dragged along.

I am a HUGE golden girls fan. I received two tickets as a birthday gift from my Aunt. They were an amazing birthday gift. I brought my husband to the show as not many of my girlfriends enjoy the show like me. We both enjoyed the show. My husband who has only watched one episode of the show was laughing the whole time. He reported that he enjoyed it even not knowing all of the items from the show. Myself, I had a blast. I was laughing the whole time and thought the show was really well done. I really enjoyed how the plot was something that did not happen in the show and how they incorporated key concepts of the show into it (jokes, ongoing slam that occurs in the show etc). I would go again I loved it so much!

I went to the play for one thing and that was to laugh. The plot was modernized with a flare of contemporary urban culture. The traditional acting was maintained until after the intermission. After the intermission was over the fireworks went off and they let the audience have it. Due to the vulgar word choices, I don’t think the seasoned age people appreciated that part much.

Devotees of the Golden Girls sitcom will laugh long and hard at this adult themed parody of the characters everyone knows and loves from the TV show. The all male cast in drag imitates the voices and mannerisms of the four television stars with incredible precision that makes you think you were at a television studio watching the taping of an episode. Now add a humorous plot and impromptu cast antics and you are in for a gut busting good time. Don’t miss it, it’s golden!

It was amazingly FUNNY!!! We laughed so hard. The Jokes were Hilarious. One of my personal favorites is the way the actors engaged with the audience in the skits... Thanks for SUNDAY FUNDAY!

The show was fabulous! The actors did an amazing job capturing the mannerisms and personality of the Golden Girls. It was very funny and the crowd interaction here and there was great. I would highly recommend it.

was good but not worth the $ really $150 sorry my husband said this was more like local theatre.

My husband and I went and loved it. I grew up watching The Golden Girls but he did not; we equally enjoyed it. I did catch more of the underlying references but overall it was awesome!!!!! Great job done by these awesome actors as we were still laughing on the way home.

The show was hysterically funny. All the actors did a great job! It’s a little bit off color, but so what? It was great!

This wasn’t as funny as I had hoped. They really played on the over the top angle and it got old
