About

Picture it. United States, 2024. GOLDEN GIRLS: THE LAUGHS CONTINUE is a parody that brings Miami's sassiest seniors to stages around the country for one more hurrah. We find Sophia out on bail after being busted by the DEA for running a drug ring for retirees. Blanche and Rose have founded CreakN, a thriving sex app for seniors. And Dorothy is trying to hold it all together with help from a new (much) younger sex-crazed lover. GOLDEN GIRLS: THE LAUGHS CONTINUE allows audiences to relive the heartfelt hilarity of the four ladies who never stopped being best friends.

GOLDEN GIRLS: THE LAUGHS CONTINUE is a professional stage show unlike any other Golden Girls tribute that you might have experienced. The play is written by Robert Leleux, author of The Memoirs of a Beautiful Boy and The Living End. His work has also appeared in The New York Times and The New York Times Magazine and his other plays have been produced across the country. The show is directed by Eric Swanson, who was the co-founder and Executive Director of The Detroit Actors' Theatre Company. The cast includes Ryan Bernier as Dorothy, Vince Kelley as Blanche, Adam Graber as Rose, Christopher Kamm as Sophia, and Jason Bowen as Stanley/Burt. The tour is produced by Murray & Peter Present and Innovation Arts & Entertainment.

    Fabulous

by Red on 2/13/24Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

The show was hilarious, a little more risqué than expected. I can't believe how much the actors truly sounded like the original Golden Girls. My daughters and I had a blast.

Entertaining is an understatement. Those “ladies” were amazingly funny while skillfully projecting the essence of each character! LOVED IT!!!

    Truly Golden

by MBG on 2/11/24Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

The cast was fabulous. I love how they had all the characters mannerisms down to a T even the voices. The laughs were from beginning to end. If you have the opportunity to see this performance do it you won’t be disappointed.

    Still Golden

by Fdrew on 2/10/24Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

For fans of the TV series the Golden Girls show is a delight. The actors are very funny especially when they interact with the audience, making side comments. Tweeks could probably be made to the show to make it even better, but the whole experience was great fun. I was surprised by how many younger people were in the audience. They must watch the reruns.

    Good but not great

by MsMarj on 2/10/24Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

I enjoyed parts of the play. I was expecting something more campy. Many of the jokes were repetitive in type.

    I didn’t expect to laugh so hard…

by Rex on 2/10/24Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

The time flew by in laughter and anticipation of the next segment. They captured their essence but also took ownership of the character. Little over the top at times but hope to see the next update too!
