Formed in 1999 by frontman Eugene Hutz, Gogol Bordello took their style of Eastern European-influenced gypsy punk and doused it deep into the underground rock of New York City. In keeping with his vision of creating an international groove, he recruited musicians of all ages, nationalities and cultures to join the ever-evolving line-up.
The group’s supercharged music is based on a gypsy two-step rhythm and is augmented by styles picked up along the way including metal, rap, flamenco, roots reggae, Italian spaghetti, western twang and dub. Their music and legendary concert performances have earned the band a global following and critical praise.
Don’t miss this aural party of instruments including violins, accordions, trumpet, marimba amongst the standard rock basics of guitars, drum and bass. A live musical experience like no other, Gogol Bordell will break boundaries this March.
"... the ever-evolving collective has defied the boundaries of continents and genres in their quest for spiritual illumination through gypsy punk." - Consequence of Sound

Gogol put on a high energy show from start to finish, playing a good mix of old and new songs. They got the whole crowd moving and in the moment, it was awesome!
What an incredible show! A friend recommended gogol bordello to me, and I wasn't disappointed. Now i feel obligated to share this gem of a band with everyone who has an eclectic music taste, or who wants to rock their socks off to the beat of a different drum.
Wandering to the bar to get a water I wondered why everyone looked so appauled. Realizing myself for the first time since their set started I, being away from front center long enough to notice, could see how soaked in sweat my (poor choice of) flannel and corduroys were. The energy in the crowd, dawned directly upon us from the energy of the worldly and traveled punk sound that is Bordello, carried through out the show, enfusing and uplifting, raising hearts and closed fists high into the blinding white lights with an anger that materialized into a far more deep-seated joy and sense of I-want-to-fight-you comraderie than anything the new house of blues had yet seen. It was percussive, it was gypsy, it was raw, it was heart-felt, and it was shirtless. You can't miss Gogol Bordello the next time they're in town.
They need to stop big show acts and world tours. They've lost their edge as a band and have become like the rest. Now just a so so band with a good sound. Marketable, looks good, feels good, sounds good too. Which is totally unlike their first two records. A shame they've lost their edge.
Back in February I was on a flight to Brazil for Carnaval. Before boarding the plane, there was a band of about 8-9 people gathered around and jamming on their instruments in the waiting area. We boarded the plane, and my seat mate said "man, have you ever heard of Gogol Bordello? That's the lead singer"...with his trademark facial hair. We had a layover in Salvador, at 5 AM. The band again took out their instruments and were playing music and dancing. It was great. I made certain to see them in concert back in the states. The show at Ram's Head is now probably in my Top 5 concerts ever. That's including the likes of Rolling Stones, Pearl Jam, Paul Simon, Greatful Dead, Dylan, Cake in Amsterdam, and more.
I was really only mildly interested in Gogol Bordello before the show and had never been to the Rams Head Live. I had heard a few songs in a friends car. Let me tell you, now I am a fan. Gogol Bordello puts on an amazing stage show. Their energy is outta control. I am a huge fan of live music and this one was the best ever, by far. Next time they are anywhere near here, I'm there. Rams Head live was a great venue too! not a bad spot in the place, and great microbrews too!
I love these guys. They truly know how to put on a good show. Everything about their music and show is deliberately chosen to ensure a great time ensues.
Gogol Bordello is, in my book, one of those bands you must see before you die. Their unique mix of punk and eastern Euro gypsy music is impossible to resist... one can't help but dance!
This show was just incredible. Gogol's energy, the crowd's energy, everything. Just a one-of-a-kind experience!! Not to mention the venue, Ram's Head Live, was also very impressive, as it was my first time there. I HIGHLY recommend checking Gogol Bordello out as soon as you can!!
Great sound, great fun, great dancing, great performance and a great crowd too!
I had heard that Gogol Bordello put on a good show, and I had heard right. I've never been to a more energetic concert. Almost two hours and only one slow song! The musicianship was outstanding, and the set list was strong. The only downside was the sound quality (don't know if the volume was cranked too high, but the clarity was low).
Gogole rocked Boston. I don't think most people in attendance knew what hit em!
It was an amazing show. No lie. The craziest show ever. Yes there was moshing, yes there was crowd-surfing. It was cool tho' because it was all mixed with dancing. Even the moshing. We were all just one huge mass organism. It was sweet.
I enjoyed the energy that Gogol Bordello brought, but wasn't quite feeling their whole vibe on this night. Mostly just due to my mood, but also the Beaumont Club just gets on my nerves. It was ridiculously hot in there and I left early for fear of passing out. You just can't beat the Uptown Theatre and that is where I wish the bands I want to see would play there instead, i.e. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
The concert was held at Ram's Head in Baltimore which i had never been to before. It turned out to be a very well-kept venue. They had many levels and tiers that no matter where you stood, you could get a good view of the show. Gogol Bordello came on afterwards and the crowd went insane. If there was anything bad about the concert it would be that the audience in the pit was intensely physical. After standing back from the pit i could enjoy the show again and Gogol Bordello was fantastic. They were having a blast and so was the people that came to see them. Gogol Bordello had the everyone moving and dancing throughout the entire night. Definitely a must see band!!!!
This is my 6th time seeing Gogol Bordello in concert. The very 1st time I saw them, I had never heard of them..I had tickets to see Cake and they were the opening act..Ever since that first time I saw them, I have become a huge fan. I buy tickets everytime they come to the Boston area. This band is so unlike any other band you will see. I highly reccomend you see them. My plans are too see them perform live in another country..Hopefully that will happen someday. Until then, I will continue to follow them here every chance I get.
A great band combo for a show. Definitely an epic experience to see such unique bands performing together.
After having an amazing time at this show, I would unquestionably put this band under the top 3 bands I've ever seen live. They have an amazing energy, they play very well, and the communication between the band and the audience is great. This is the kind of show that will just shake up your whole life (in a good way!)
I would have given this event 5 stars, but they ran out of general admission room and we had to go to balcony seating. I really really really wanted to be on the floor, but the show was still stellar! They played for so long and I was ready to collapse by the end.The crowd there was great too of course, as was expected at a Gogol Bordello show. The House of Blues in Boston is so cool. I've been to the one in New Orleans, but the one in Boston is so much bigger and just the best environment. So far, it's the event of my year. Love those guys so much!
Great band. High Energy. A fun time. La la la la la la.
