About

Nine-piece multi-cultural band, GOGOL BORDELLO return to America to bring venues like Aztec Theatre (San Antonio) to capacity as they travel coast to coast. These shows will give audiences a first chance to hear new tracks from their seventh studio album Seekers and Finders, which Mojo Magazine calls an “air-punching, vodka-swilling anthem, custom-built for circle pits worldwide."

Tickets for all shows go on sale at 9am this Friday, December 8.

My Live Nation members can secure tickets first during the exclusive pre-sale beginning 1pm Wednesday, December 6 until 5pm Thursday, December 7.

For complete tour and ticketing details, visit: livenation.com.au.

Formed in 1999 by frontman Eugene Hutz, Gogol Bordello took their style of Eastern European-influenced gypsy punk and doused it deep into the underground rock of New York City. In keeping with his vision of creating an international groove, he recruited musicians of all ages, nationalities and cultures to join the ever-evolving line-up.

The group’s supercharged music is based on a gypsy two-step rhythm and is augmented by styles picked up along the way including metal, rap, flamenco, roots reggae, Italian spaghetti, western twang and dub. Their music and legendary concert performances have earned the band a global following and critical praise.

Don’t miss this aural party of instruments including violins, accordions, trumpet, marimba amongst the standard rock basics of guitars, drum and bass. A live musical experience like no other, Gogol Bordell will break boundaries this March.

"... the ever-evolving collective has defied the boundaries of continents and genres in their quest for spiritual illumination through gypsy punk." - Consequence of Sound

  • 2 hrs of dancing in the aisles

by Wayneski on 7/24/09The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Gogol Bordello is a must see for anyone who likes to get out of their seat and dance. The broad mix of musical instruments and fist pumping "Hey, Hey Hey's" promise to draw you in to all of their songs. I was amazed at the diverse crowd (age, ethnicity, lifestyles) and will be taking my teenage daugthers back to their follow up show in STL. in October 09.

Brilliant! the way they played continuously one song to the next made it a live stream, it was like listening to the rain always coming always drenching, incredibly rich and alive.

  • Awesome Live Show

    by hollyb12 on 7/22/09Sokol Auditorium - OmahaRating: 5 out of 5

Best live show I have seen in a long time! Next time they are in town will go see again.

  • Gogol Bordello: Undestructible!

by gogolfan on 7/22/09Sokol Auditorium - OmahaRating: 5 out of 5

Really great show, started with Spanish influenced DeLeon, who were surprisingly good for an opening band. They had a great trumpet player and the keyboards added a nice simple twist. Gogol Bordello were amazing and brought insane energy to the stage. It was obvious that they really enjoyed the show as well. Their songs were as high quality or higher than on the CDs, with great musicianship and additions to the songs. Very highly recommended.

  • Possibly the best!

This show was amazing, exactly what I was hoping for. I have been to several concerts but this one is number one for pure energy and amazing music.

  • where to start...

by L4Ur3n on 7/22/09House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

this was by far the best concert I have EVER gone to. The pit was perfect, every time I fell over someone behind me would help me up. Everyone was so friendly, awesome crowd. GOGOL WAS INSANE. I love their music its probably the best concert music ever, so up beat and rowdy. I think if I could see them everyday I would. COME BACK TO BOSTON!

  • AMAZING!

by DashL on 7/22/09Sokol Auditorium - OmahaRating: 5 out of 5

I thought this show was amazing! The energy did not stop the entire show! I can't say that I've had more fun at any other concert. Gogol Bordello, you rocked my face off!

  • Gogol Bordello kicked a**!

by Scarletandjade on 7/22/09Sokol Auditorium - OmahaRating: 5 out of 5

This band is amazing. Absolutely amazing live! You've never been in a audience where you were begging the accordian player to rock harder. These men (and fabulous dancing, singing, marching band instrument playing ladies) will leave you breathless and unable to jump anymore for days afterward, and rock your socks right off.

  • Gogol Bordello was super everything

by Tarantata on 7/22/09Sokol Auditorium - OmahaRating: 5 out of 5

Sokol is always a great place for a show and Gogol Bordello was no disappointment. The crowd was perfect everyone got into the show dancing and jumping along with the songs. The band was amazing and energetic through the entire set.

  • Man Man and Gogol Bordello = AMAZING

by Moo35 on 7/22/09House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

The crowd here was ready to dance, and both bands certainly made them do it ALL night. Totally fun, crazy and unique. I would recommend seeing these bands together if possible, but they both equally rocked. House of Blues was a pretty good venue. Even the people on the third floor were busy dancing!

  • Virtuosity + Nonstop Energy!

by avgvstvs on 7/22/09Sokol Auditorium - OmahaRating: 5 out of 5

I don't know where to begin... The opening band "DeLeon" was by itself an exercise in spanish-tinged middle-eastern jazz rock--practically indescribable. The complexity of their arrangements I would easily put on par with prog rock bands or fusion bands. And then Gogol... I don't know if its the fact that it was a punk crowd or not, but this was one of the most interactive shows I've ever seen. People were loose, and at times the scene looked more like what you'd expect from another country. People were moshing... and *dancing!* I actually didn't know that Eugene did more than vocals... how you play guitar for nearly 2 straight hours (there was no break except for the few minutes before the encore) AND sing is beyond me. However you cut it it was an amazing, amazing night!

  • Gogol Bordello was Wild!!!

    by Bob000 on 7/22/09Sokol Auditorium - OmahaRating: 5 out of 5

They were amazing!!!!! Good ol' Eugene was crazy and the concert was just great. Lots of energy, and Sokol is a great venue.

  • Gogol Bordello

by lupefiasco on 7/21/09Rams Head Live! - BaltimoreRating: 5 out of 5

finding a spot initially was pretty difficult, until i got up to the second floor of the venue. from my vantage point i could see the soundbooth, the stage, people crowd surfing. the energy that gogol bordello played with was simply amazing. they were into it, the crowd was into it, i was into it. it was amazing and totally worth it.

This was an amazing show. one that had the entire crowd in a frenzy within minutes of the first song. I would love to see them as soon as they come around again.

  • An unsound performance

by drcoop on 7/18/09House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 2 out of 5

I love this band but the sound system at House of Blues is awful. Very mushy. It was rare to be able to hear individual instruments. I hate to say it, but Hampton Beach Casino sounds better. drcoop

  • Forever Purple

by lulahbel on 7/17/09Cabooze - MinneapolisRating: 4 out of 5

Gogol never lets you down. The show was high energy and crowd jumping. My complaint is that they never play long enough. But that is my selfishness. I just never want the show to end.

  • By far my favorite concert

by mllezombie on 7/17/09House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

I'm a big fan of Gogol Bordello, and have heard many great things about their live performance. I had to go see for myself and was not disappointed. Their sound was phenomenal and the energy in their performance was intense. They played a good balance of newer and older songs. There was so much energy in the crowd, everybody was excited and having a great time. After the show the band returned and treated us with a lengthy encore performance. In short, the concert was SICK!

  • Time to Start Wearing Purple

    by orchidgrl08 on 7/17/09The Fox Theater - Pomona - PomonaRating: 5 out of 5

Between the dancing girls, drunk russian singer, acordian player who looks just like my uncle mickey, and a crowd possibly crazier than the band, it was a kick-ass show. My first time seeing Gogol Bordello and it won't be the last!!
