About

Nine-piece multi-cultural band, GOGOL BORDELLO return to America to bring venues like Aztec Theatre (San Antonio) to capacity as they travel coast to coast. These shows will give audiences a first chance to hear new tracks from their seventh studio album Seekers and Finders, which Mojo Magazine calls an “air-punching, vodka-swilling anthem, custom-built for circle pits worldwide."

Tickets for all shows go on sale at 9am this Friday, December 8.

My Live Nation members can secure tickets first during the exclusive pre-sale beginning 1pm Wednesday, December 6 until 5pm Thursday, December 7.

For complete tour and ticketing details, visit: livenation.com.au.

Formed in 1999 by frontman Eugene Hutz, Gogol Bordello took their style of Eastern European-influenced gypsy punk and doused it deep into the underground rock of New York City. In keeping with his vision of creating an international groove, he recruited musicians of all ages, nationalities and cultures to join the ever-evolving line-up.

The group’s supercharged music is based on a gypsy two-step rhythm and is augmented by styles picked up along the way including metal, rap, flamenco, roots reggae, Italian spaghetti, western twang and dub. Their music and legendary concert performances have earned the band a global following and critical praise.

Don’t miss this aural party of instruments including violins, accordions, trumpet, marimba amongst the standard rock basics of guitars, drum and bass. A live musical experience like no other, Gogol Bordell will break boundaries this March.

"... the ever-evolving collective has defied the boundaries of continents and genres in their quest for spiritual illumination through gypsy punk." - Consequence of Sound

  • Godly music, terrible crowd of idiots

by Krootah on 7/29/09Revolution Live - Ft LauderdaleRating: 4 out of 5

Watching Gogol live was amazing. I have been a fan forever and would concider this the best music out today. Unfortunaltely, the Gogol sound attracts not only Gogol fans but a crowd of misfit moshing morons! Bravo to Eugene for working around the moshing teenies slamming themselves into the stage...a true pro! Gogol's sound is one of a kind...they are genius!

  • AWESOME!

Only one way to describe Gogol: "I WANT TO LIVE 150 YEARS NOW"

Having seen Gogol Bordello before, I had some expectations and they certainly exceeded them. High energy and improvisation were the highlight of the night.

  • Nothing compares to a gypsy party!

by Gumbercules on 7/28/09JANNUS LANDING COURTYARD - St PetersburgRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen Gogol three times, and they never cease to amaze! Eugene Hutz was born to preform, and their energy is infectious--even if you don't normally dance at concerts, you'll find it impossible not to. They played some new material that kept the crowd moving, so keep an eye out for a new record. Deleon was a great choice to open for Gogol, they are definitely worth seeing again!

  • Gogol brought it!

by Leca on 7/28/09JANNUS LANDING COURTYARD - St PetersburgRating: 5 out of 5

What an absolutely amazing show. The energy was non-stop and GB brought an amazing display of worldly sounds that show why they have become so popular amongst the underground and world stage sound. The show was initially slated for Jannus Landing but due to financial troubles with the owner, it was moved to The Ritz in Ybor City. The venue was perfect size for this show and Tampa brough it when it came to a fanbase! Everyone was perfectly in synch thru the whole show singing anthems and throwing fists in the air to the beats. It was a great night filled with favorite songs as well as new ones that I can't wait to hear again and visual displays of dance, percussion, Gypsy Punk and more.

  • Gogol Bordello..Better than Expected

by Evanroo on 7/26/09The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

The show was amazing ! I didn't know much about this band, but went because of the prodding of my 14 and 16 year old children. We had a blast ! This place is a safe and well organized venue for rock shows and is safe for kids and families. ( not like the concerts of my youth in the 70's) The band was great and the place is safe and clean.

  • Gogol Bordello Rocked the house!

by dancingirl on 7/24/09The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

What amazing energy GB threw out! They have an amazing percussion section and had the whole house bouncing up and down. They are a unique blend of reggae/ska/eastern block punk. They really have their own groove and the bass player didn't miss a beat.

  • Best Show Yet

by Polexia on 7/24/09The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

The drive to St. Louis was well worth my girlfriend and I's time. Gogol Bordello and his band put on the best show I have ever seen. I was weary of the crowd in the beginning; the opening band played and the crowd was pretty dead, but when Gogol presented himself to his audience, We all went nuts. The life in The Pageant was unforgettable, and the music was exceptional. Money well spent.

  • Gypsy punks rule the world!!!

  • Best Live Band I've Seen!

by JimmytheJW on 7/24/09Rams Head Live! - BaltimoreRating: 5 out of 5

Gogol brought down the house with their performance. I had just started to listen to their music a few months before the concert and thought they were pretty good. But when the concert started they took over the entire venue. Within 3 seconds everyone for the next 2 hours were part of a show that had non stop energy from start to finish.

  • Non stop entertainment

by masasha on 7/24/09Ventura Theatre - VenturaRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the most exciting shows I've ever been to. I can't wait to see them again.

  • Gogol Bordello demolished that place.

by WearsPurple on 7/24/09The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen Gogol Bordello two times previously at different venues, but their show last night at the Pageant may have been one of my favorites. First off, the opening act, DeLeon, was energetic and put on a great show. Not to mention, the music was beautiful. Gogol Bordello is also incredibly energetic on stage, and you can't help but want to join in on the antics. They clearly love performing, and Eugene Hutz (singer, guitar, banjo, etc) feeds off the audience. Basically, it's a tremendous show, leaving you buzzed and pumped, rather than tired that you've been standing/jumping around for 2 hours.

  • Constant barrage of gypsy punk

by Chiefie on 7/24/09The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Incredible, high energy show. Gogol never lets up, and adds a "shut the f*** up" to the audience during encore to underline that this isn't your mama's gypsy music. This is gypsy punk all the way!

  • So much fun!

by randommood on 7/24/09The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Gogol Bordello is one of the most energetic, engaging and fun bands you can see live. They made everyone have a great time. You can't stop jumping and dancing.

  • Gypsy Punks Rule!

    by Loulou71 on 7/24/09The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

The show is nonstop! Frontman Eugene Hutz is on fire! Rarely stopping between songs to even take a breath, he kept the set flowing from one to the next with a fluidity and excitement that got the crowd so wound up, they were ready to join Eugen's Gypsy party. The band obviously enjoy each other and had so much fun onstage, that the crowd was happy with them. Still plenty of the punk angst to get the crowd moshing, but clear, and beautiful and with a gypsy edge showing the bands various roots. At one point, the whole crowd was on their feet, dancing and singing. At the end, the band came back onstage, interacted with the audience, and thanked us all, humbly and almost seemingly individually, making us feel glad to be there. Overall a very good show, and tons of fun.

  • Gogol Bordello is worth EVERY PENNY!!!!

by demonicka on 7/24/09The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

I am a seasoned concertgoer and I have to say that this show was one of the best I've seen in a good ten years. This band gives the audience everything it deserves and then some. Their stage show is electric, and their performance generates an infectious energy that fills the entire venue. They waste no time either, launching into song after song with barely a word in between, and they play far longer than any mainstream act you'll ever see. Overall, this show was just absolutely phenomenal. I would go see them again tomorrow if I could.

  • Pleasantly Surprised

by Hakim on 7/24/09The Pageant - St LouisRating: 4 out of 5

This band is full of energy. The music was great. The sound is unique.
