GLASS TIGER IN CONCERT:
Canadian rockers Glass Tiger are a fierce five-piece band that's been hammering out the hits since 1986, and they sound as fresh as ever nearly 30 years later. Lead singer Alan Frew still knows how to command the stage with his sharp, impeccable vocals and rich guitar strumming while his bandmates shred out solos on hits like "Someday" and "Don't Forget Me (When I'm Gone)". With their popular alt-rock tunes and on-point musicianship, Glass Tiger always brings the house down when they perform for eager ticket buyers on their can't-miss tours.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
The members of Glass Tiger – singer Alan Frew, keyboard player Sam Reid, guitarist Al Connelly, bassist Wayne Parker, and drummer Michael Hanson – first got together in 1983 and performed under the name Tokyo. They earned their big break a year later playing for sold-out crowds as an opening act for Boy George and Culture Club on tour. They attracted attention from several labels at the shows, eventually signing to Capitol Records and changing their name to the current moniker. They earned widespread acclaim with their four-times platinum-selling debut Thin Red Line, which featured the smash hit "Don't Forget Me (When I'm Gone)" – a song that peaked at No. 1 on the Canadian Songs chart, earned the band three Juno Awards, and launched them to international stardom. Glass Tiger continued to enjoy success with their follow-up releases Diamond Sun (1988) and Simple Mission (1991), which they supported with extensive touring throughout their native Canada. After a hiatus that saw the band's members pursue various other projects, the group got back together in 2003 to perform local shows. Although the band has had a lineup change since reforming with new drummer Chris McNeill, Glass Tiger still knows how to rock a crowd and deliver a hit-filled live show.
What a wonderful show! Their great music along with some seasonal tunes. Alan was in fine voice! Very touching hearing Songs for a Winter’s Night! Thoroughly enjoyed my evening! ❤️
An amazing concert with an intimate atmosphere. All the hits were played and Alan sounded amazing. Truly amazing. Can’t wait for GT to return again someday.

The overall acoustics of the bands "The Spoons"and "A Flock of Seagulls"were awful. WAY too much bass and bass drum - I swear, I could feel the two instruments reverberating in my chest during their entire set. Also, the lineup was not in good order. "Men Without Hats"was an obvious fan favorite but were placed before "A Flock of Seagulls"(who immediately lost the crowd), and were given less show time than the latter band. Sitting through "A Flock of Seagulls"waiting for "Glass Tiger"in the cold with that intense bass was a form of torture.
This is the third time I’ve seen Glass Tiger. They never disappoint. Love love love.
Loved all of the trooper songs and only half of the cheap trick songs
What an amazing evening, brought my 27-year-old out with me who has such an appreciation for that genre and that timeline of music. Everyone there was fantastic and everyone had an amazing time. I will definitely attend a Burt Block Party in the future. Staff was wonderful.
Glass Tiger was very professional. The vocals were incredibly solid with some good guitar work mixed in. The encore with the Don't Forget Me was a great finish.
Friday night was a blast all the music was great Sat night was good opening bands didn’t know the music

It was really a great performance but the sound surround needs a lot of improvement. The theatre is very cozy and I love the option of standing close to the stage.
I enjoyed my time immensely. If Glass Tiger travels somewhere else, I am willing to check them out ANYWHERE! It was nostalgia and just a good time. I attended the event alone, as my friend had a family emergency, but I am so glad I did!
These guys really know how to put on a show. They sounded so awesome and really engaged the crowd. It was a very positive experience. Alan Frew is hilarious:) Totally recommend it!

This was an amazing show. I have seen them 3 times now and they never disappoint! I would see them again and again as they truly leave it all on the stage. Great night
It was a awesome concert kudos to Glass Tiger but i dont remember the last concert i been to that i couldn't record anything so do us a favour Winnipeg Regent Event Club and let people record the event 😀 that was the only thing that burst my bubble
The group was great the show it self was perfect. the location not the best seats are terrible could never get comfortable.
