Gin Blossoms at the Uptown in Napa were very fun. It was great to hear their songs live.
The guys put on another high energy show. The closeup and personal feeling you get from the Coach House is special. Some of the newest songs I had not heard before and they were great. We had a wonderful time.
The show went off without a hitch. Wonderful vocals and the sound was balanced.
Played all of their hits and some good new ones, too
I've been to a dozen shows and this was the largest crowd I can recall. Robin sounded great, Jesse and Scott played wonderfully. Just a great good rock and roll band.
This was my 3rd time seeing the band live, and I would go see them again in a heartbeat. They are fun and love to get the crowd involved by letting everyone sing the refrain of their biggest songs, and the band gives people in the crowd the opportunity to play the tambourine. They always play their big hits, so even if you only know a handful of their songs it's worth it to see them live. All in all, it's just a fun performance and I highly recommend seeing them live at least once!!
These guys rock. Great song selection, band was tight, good crowd. Would like to see them play larger venues.
Beautiful NY summer night. The Gin Blossoms played to a pack house of all ages and types of dress. From the very first minute the crowd fed off Singer Robin Wilson's high energy and returned it full fold. Joyous crowd led to a supreme effort from the band which noted numerous times how good it felt to play songs in NY that they had not for 17 years. Wilson sounds as good as ever and handed off the tambourine through the crowd and sang into fans' cellphones to their mothers, sisters, friends etc. If you need a boost of your energy level and/or spirits this is the group! Better than a B-12 shot. Rock on!
I really had a great time! definitely want to see more of their concerts...
From people in their 60s to the 20+ set, every single one of those who attended were given a fantastic concert. They encored for 3 more songs including an Eddie Money song that they've used sporadically in concert since last March
These guys were great. The crowd interaction they gave was unreal, and actually made the concert. Had an excellent time and also the drink carts setup outside was a great idea, as my girl and I enjoyed some vodka and lemonades also!
This was one of the best live shows I've ever seen. They sounded great and interacted with the crowd all night. You could tell they really appreciate their fans and love what they do - playing live. The Blue Chip was the perfect intimate setting for a smaller show and that's what I really loved. Front row seats for a great price to see an awesome band!
The Gin Blossoms sound just as good as they did 20 years ago. The venue was lame, the concert in a Meeting Room of a Casino.
Really good show. Alot of energy. Band sounds terrific and gets the crowd pumped, could tell everyone was enjoying the show.
This was my third Gin Blossoms concert, and it was by far the best one.
I've seen Gin Blossoms many times over the years, and every show's a little different. This one was in one of the bigger venues I've seen them play in years, and it was a show that matched the venue. They played a really long set and were energetic and on point the entire time. Thanks, guys, for making my trip to Anchorage a fun one!
Wonderful concert! It has been a long time since I've seen a band relate to their audience as well as the Gin Blossoms. They played older and newer songs, and the interaction between the band and the audience was fun. I would recommend them to anyone!
Wonderful concert! Gin Blossoms rocked!! They played all the hits and their new songs. No complaints....and thanks for coming all of the way to Alaska!!
I LOVE the Gin Blossoms. So why did I only give 3 stars? Even though they rocked the house? Because the so-called 'VIP' seating area that I paid extra money for was horrible! The sightlines were limited and we were at least 30 feet away from the stage, unlike the folks who paid regular price and got to stand right at front of the stage and interact with the band members! There was nothing V.I. about that area. Someone needs to tell the event organizer that when you charge extra for something, the people who pay for those tickets are expecting something extra. Aggravating. So sorry GB! I still think you guys rock!
Not sure how my fellow concert goers feel, but in my opinion, this show was a waste of time. This group was not well suited for this venue and I feel I paid far too much for the quality of show that was delivered. May not consider another show at Dena'ina Center again - MsK
