  • Gin Blossoms was great.

by sunking299 on 11/5/11Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Gin Blossoms sound amazing live. They played all their hits and added some new ones from the latest record. I did wish they would have played Learning the Hard Way and Supergirl from the last record.

  • Good show!

Gad a great time, Gin Blossoms were great. They played all their classic hits. The Ponte Vedra theater is very small, in fact so small some people jumped on the stage and got kicked out. The band was cool about it though. I recommend this show to anyone!

Nothing new, same old songs. Bass player was sick and looked like he wished he was home. Came on late also.

  • Sound is awesome here!

The venue here is unique I love the whole set up, the two bars and the little short menu, perfect, Rock on guys good job! Sound in this building pretty damn good.

  • Great Show!

by WolverineRedNeck on 10/31/11Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra BeachRating: 4 out of 5

I attended this concert with my wife who is a fan of Gin Blossoms. For me not being very aware of most of their music, this show was great. The lead singer was very entertaining and interactive with the fans and crowd. His voice still sounds just as good as the songs you hear played on the radio and the band sounded great. The opening band (Son of a Bad Man) was good but the lead singer was not nearly as good as he thought he was (drummer and bassist were great!). Also SOABM had the volume jacked up way too high to even understand many of the lyrics. Their volume was nearly painful. Gin Blossoms came out with just the right sound adjustments and were spot on. Thanks for a great show!

  • Son of a Bad Man, son!

I am so glad we went early for the Gin Blossoms show because we got a real treat with the these southern rockers (Son of a Bad Man)! The drummer that beat his drums so fiercely that he broke his snare...Really!? A terrific show! The Gin Blossoms were great. Played all our old favorites. The venue was nice with good acoustics, easy parking and friendly staff.

  • Gin Blossoms were the best!!

by TennischickJax on 10/31/11Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra BeachRating: 5 out of 5

The acoustics of the concert hall were really great as well as the opening local band, Son of a Bad Man. Alot of concert goers missed out as unfortunately this event was booked on one of the biggest football weekends in N. Florida. I know it would have been a packed venue otherwise.

  • Gin Blossoms still sound great!

by lynseyklly on 10/25/11Belterra Casino Resort and Spa - FlorenceRating: 4 out of 5

They were really fun performers, great at getting the crowd into it. It was a small crowd even for Belterra, but that doesn't bother me. We had second row seats but no one showed up for the first row of our section, so we were able to move up. Most people on the floor were up along the stage, so even for a small crowd there was a lot of energy. Loved hearing the old songs I remember growing up with.

  • Fast and Forgettable

by VAWB on 10/25/11Belterra Casino Resort and Spa - FlorenceRating: 1 out of 5

Total performance time was barely over an hour and, no warm-up band! Lights on and everyone was out of there before 9:30p -- dislike!! Also, wondering if Robin was hyped on too much caffeine (or coke?) as he was bouncing all over the stage unlike his band mates who appeared completely sedate, almost bored. Making the best of any situation, enjoyed hearing their music, albeit limited.

  • Gin Blossoms were great!

    by 90sfan on 10/25/11Lumiere Place - St. LouisRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first time at the Lumiere theatre, but it was an excellent setting for a wonderful concert. The band engaged the audience and played a great show. I enjoyed the whole set, even the songs I wasn't familiar with.

  • Gin Blossoms rocked!!! Lumiere Place, not so much.

    by chrihar90 on 10/24/11Lumiere Place - St. LouisRating: 4 out of 5

The Gin Blossoms put on a great show. The lead singer was great at getting the crowd into the songs (he handed out tambourines for people to play along with!) and they played all their big hit songs. Even though the show was awesome, I will never go see a show at Lumiere Place again. The Gin Blossoms only played for an hour, even though they were playing another set at 9 (our show started at 7), and there were no chairs in the whole place! The venue was definitely not worth the price of the ticket, but I loved seeing a band that I listened to growing up.

Music was wonderful. They should provide chairs!!! uncomfortable to stand for 90 minutes.

  • Intimate But Sound Questionable

by concertenator on 10/24/11Lumiere Place - St. LouisRating: 4 out of 5

It was a great lively show with lots of great songs. Drummer was awesome. I give the room a two star rating however. The sound was disappointing. Gin Blossoms played a good show. 4 stars for them, 3 stars for the room sound. It was standing room only in a 450 capacity room. Bar service was good.

  • Gin Blossoms at Lumier Casino

    by Iam4StL on 10/24/11Lumiere Place - St. LouisRating: 4 out of 5

Have seen this band at least 12 times live, and they are still my favorite band of all time. The only change over the years has been at drummer, and John Richardson does a great job.

  • Good music; not so good atmosphere!

by BMach on 10/24/11Lumiere Place - St. LouisRating: 3 out of 5

I thought the lead Singer of the Gin Blossoms sounded great and so did the band, unfortunately it was too much racket for a room smaller than the smallest theatre. The show was short as well. No sooner did we get there and it was over so it seemed. They were also serving alcoholic beverages but I don't know how anyone accomplished ordering anything with the level of noise in there. I would never go to another concert @ lumière place no matter who it was.

  • Best concert in years

by RhythmRam on 8/8/11Uptown Theatre Napa - NapaRating: 5 out of 5

I had to weigh in on how great the recent Gin Blossoms show was in Napa on THursday, August 4, 2011. I'd scored a sincle 3rd row center stage seat 'cause my wife didn't want to go. Boy did she miss out as I enjoyed every minute. Honestly I was only familiar with the bands work from the 'New Miserable Experience' album. But after hearing the show and cuts from their new album 'No Chocolate Cake' I picked that up and can't stop listenting to it. The Uptown Theater was only 1/3rd full. Yet instead of coming out and being upset the lead singer Robin pumped all us middle aged farts up. I and others were out of our seats the entire 1 hour and 45 minute set. He even chastised a few folks in the back for sitting down. Robin and the bands engagement with the crowd was fabulous. His engaging guys and gals with claps, vocals, tamborines and being in the mix made the night all that more memorable. They were spot on with riff's, rhythm's, harmonies and just down right great time. Playing rhythm acoustic and electric myself I followed Jesse and Scott's every finger movement and was dazzled by how simple they made it all seem. If I closed my eyes I heard, the Beatles, the Byrds, Tom Petty and others. My only regret is that I waited this long to see them live. Now I can't wait until they return to the Bay Area or I get down to Arizona. You guys rock!

  • Malea McGuinness Killed

I went to the Show a long time Gin Blossoms Fan, bought my tickets in advance brought my wife & friends along. We went early to get situated in the Theater, The Show started and the Opener Malea Mcguinness blew my mind. I was blown away by her voice. My group was so entertained by her that when the Gin Blossoms went on I felt like WOW this is an awesome show!
