  • Woulda been nice if they started b4 10:30

    by janny226 on 1/20/13The Paramount - HuntingtonRating: 4 out of 5

Really enjoyed the mix of music, a classic/hit, then a new song, then a classic etc. And the 2nd and 3rd opening acts were enjoyable (we arrived late and missed band #1), but as someone who was paying a sitter $15 an hour, plus had a 45-minute drive home, we would have liked the headliner to come onstage a bit sooner. Because we had to leave before the Gin Blossoms were done, because as we were going to an 8:00 show we told our sitter we'd be back by midnite.

  • Gin Blossoms/Patent Pending

by musicabsorbent on 1/20/13The Paramount - HuntingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Gin Blossoms were ok,a little lack luster(the bass was doing good until he passed out and hit the deck-He got back up ok but didnt finish the show)the sound needed work. Patent Pending made the show worth while.they are the only reason im giving it a 5! they have amazing high energy-really fun show I would definitely see them on there own-especially at the Paramount, its a great place to see a show.

  • by LPags88 on 1/20/13The Paramount - HuntingtonRating: 4 out of 5

Gin Blossoms was great, they played all my favorite songs. If we had known there would have been 2 opening acts - we may not have rushed from work. They went on at 10:30PM.

  • Gin Blossoms as good as ever. Venue subpar

    by 52yowhitemale on 1/20/13The Paramount - HuntingtonRating: 4 out of 5

Gin Blossoms were great, their sound is still great. Robin Wilson sounds and looks great, crowd was into it but the venue was lacking. It was cold and the sound was off - the carnous ceiling made it less than great acousticaly. Last song - was marred when Bassist trip or fainted and fell and banged his head pretty hard. They came back for only one encore with the band manager taking the baisist's place. Probably would have had an additional encore if not for that. All in all BB Kings is a better venue.

  • Gin was incredible, opening bands was a waste.

    by Missjackie0118 on 1/20/13The Paramount - HuntingtonRating: 4 out of 5

The Gin Blossoms know how to rock the house. The lead singer Robin is so awesome with the audience... Especially when he hands out a few tambourines to a few lucky fans including mysekf.. The band still sounds like thier albums. The only thing I didnt care for was the fact that the venue decided to allow three opening bands. They were all a waste and what made it worse was the last opening band Patent Pending brought a crowd of moshpits and crowd surfing. Gin Blossoms is not that kind of band. So why were people crowd surfing during "Allison Road"?. The Paramount needs an opening band* similiar to Gin... Especially a band that is actually decent.

  • Gin Blossoms!

    by TrixxyTray6 on 1/20/13The Paramount - HuntingtonRating: 4 out of 5

They were pretty great, did not play long however. Loved the Paramount!! Very cool place, will be going back! Maybe they can do something about the little kids (17-20), they were jumping around like Barney was on stage, a little annoying.

  • Warmup Band "Walking Sideways" was a great add-on

by CamaroPatty on 1/20/13The Paramount - HuntingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Warmup band "Walking Sideways" was a great local band that could have a great future if given more exposure like performing at thd Paramount. We hope to see more of Walking Sideways in the future.

  • The group Patent Pending stole the show!!!!

    by CrazyTrain489 on 1/20/13The Paramount - HuntingtonRating: 3 out of 5

Atmosphere was great!! The Gin Blossoms looked like they could be bothered to be there. Wasn't sure if they are tired from performing or they just don't have it any more. Anyway all in all it was a great show!

  • Great Show

  • gin blossoms better than ever

    by gregors9 on 1/20/13The Paramount - HuntingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Gin Blossoms were excellent. I will be downloading the new albumn but they didnt disappoint their fans-they played all the old favorites! The sad part was that the venue-the paramount-started the show at 8:00 and Gin blossoms didnt start till 10:45. Two warmup bands. Is this something new to get to people to hang out and pay for more drinks??? did not appreciate it! We had plans for a a ride home and had to cut the concert short.

The guys played so well. Awesome concert within an intimate venue. The band Tonic opened for them and they were awesome too. Overall I had a great time listening to this band and their unique style of music. I would strongly recommend going to see them.

saw them @ the canyon. great sound people, compared to hollywood park. wish they would come out to west coast more often. they didn't miss a beat. they sound better than they did years ago...musically and vocally. and the people (service) at the canyon were fantastic.

  • Gin Blossoms are good

The Gin Blossoms totally kicked ass on the Canyon Club!!!!!!

  • zero chemistry

by ellyk on 9/30/12The Canyon - Agoura HillsRating: 2 out of 5

It's like these guys don't even know each other. They don't speak or even look at each other during their set. They are just up there playing songs they use to know. There is a compete lack of heart and soul in their music. I don't even care that he can't hit the notes that he use to-music is about more than perfect pitch. But to be up there (seemingly) going through the motions turns a band like this into a sad cliche.
