I though the Dj would be mixing and putting some life into the songs. Sort of like the remix of Gimmie gimmie from Syzz. However, he just played songs one after the other. No mixing and no really being a dj at al. The song selection was obviously bomb, but he didn't make it his own. Seemed like he was just playing a playlist, and would try to transition smoothly to the next. However, it was still a blast even if it wasn't what I was expecting.
This show is basically a guy blasting his 80’s Spotify playlist in a big room and jumping around on stage. The transitions didn’t even flow nicely, just a jarring cut and onto the next song. Fun to dance around to, sure, but the experience as a whole was underwhelming and felt like I was transported back to my high school homecoming.
This was one of the most fun events I have ever been to. Great music, great people, and unforgettable times. Everyone was in a great mood and dressed the part. I loved it so much that I bought tickets for the next one the day after going! Definitely recommend to anyone that loves to get groovy!
Jammed young crowd on the dance floor, high energy and spirits. Not much room to dance, but hey it was joyous.
The DJ was very enthusiastic, which alone brought up the energy of the night. Everything was great, from the people at the door to the bartenders to the security. This was a great venue to enjoy a fun night out in Boston and I would highly recommend it for anyone.
Hi, i just thought i would chime in with my opinion, as a HUGE fan of ABBA and 70s disco and 70s music, the event was a huge success. ThehostJoshua played many, ,many great songs, took requests, and really was great with the crowd, and showed his enthusiasm and energy all through the night. Also, the crowd was WONDEFFUL, very energetic, and most importantly, you could also see their love for the 70s music. My ONLY complaint would be that the site itself was a little too small overall for as large as crowd as there was. The dance floor was very, very congested all night, for the next ABBA show, i would personally suggest and prefer a bigger site, but overall a very successful night.
The atmosphere and the music were great. Played the best disco hits and even a few new era songs that were disco esc. People got to dance on stage, and the people were friendly fun. I can’t wait to go again
It was a magical event full of disco, dancing, and singing. Come dressed to impress and dance until you pass out. Can’t wait for it to happen again. 12/10
The DJ was amazing and made the night wonderful! He played great music, had fun, and impressed everyone with his singing and dancing skills along to the music.
The DJ was all about himself. He played 5 ABBA songs out of first 25 songs. I left at that point. The crowd would come to life with each ABBA song really enjoying singing along and dancing.
I’ve been to the last event, which was held in the main part of house of blues. This time I came back expecting the same disco vibe with the disco ball above, but it really just felt like an awkward highschool party. The crowd was upset. Some even boo’d. The video and music had many complications, but most of all... it being an Abba party... I want to say we only heard 5 songs from MAX from Abba. If anything should change it shouldn’t be in the parish and if the video and music are having complications and going on very late (9:20) ... then the customers should have a chance of refund.
My friend and I have been three times. We love this event. The DJ, music, and crowd are all fantastic. We will definitely be attending the next one!
At first a bit awkward as people didnt immediately dance and they didnt pla 70s misic but as soon as he actual music started everyone went wild! I wanted to go all night!
