So much fun, everyone showed up and out and every song was a banger. Best night out I’ve had in a while!
My first disco was at the queen in March of 2022. I had a great experience there, but it was a little bit of a letdown because there was no disco ball, and we were placed in the smaller room on the left. I had been attending the one in Philly since then bimonthly because they had a bowling alley, and it was a change of scenery. I was a little nervous about attending the disco at the queen again, but I am so glad I did! We were placed in the larger room below, where I had an absolutely amazing time (disco ball included). There was so much space to dance(unlike Philly), and the vibes and drinks were great(not too expensive). I will definitely be attending the queen for the disco again!
This was really fun! I loved everyone's 70's/ABBA inspired outfits!! The music was great as well, and fun to dance to. I only wish everyone up at the front danced as well, instead of just standing around.
It was supposed to start at 9:00 pm, it did not start until after 9:45. We waited for an hour which made us extra tired and we didn't end up having as much fun as we would've if the music started earlier. It was fun seeing everyone dressed up and having a good time, and the music was good as well.
Before I purchased my ticket, I had heard positive things from previous events from a friend, which had me excited for the one coming up on Halloween weekend. What surprised me wad the venue when I walked it. I was expecting more of an 80s vibe, with decorations to match it, but that wasn't the case. The DJ was fine, however they would frequently prolong a song or play it until the very end before switching to the next (with often the transition being a little weak). I very much love ABBA, but I can't say that the mood of the night fit the style of the event. Also, the dance floor was shaking from all of the guests dancing and moving. It really stressed me out, thinking that the foundation might collapse - something to check and ensure stability for future events.
They played through the whole song when they really should’ve skipped to the next song early. People were definitely standing around waiting for the next song. The DJ was super hype though. People went all out and dressed up. Overall a fun experience. Price was decent too for the experience.
We went expecting some groovy disco tunes and ABBA bops, but instead, all we got were some good ABBA songs but not much to dance to. We just kind of stood there and watched the “dj” dance around the stage. On top of this, the ticket said it started at 8:30 but it did not start until 9:50!! We just stood around and waited for a disappointing show. Would not recommend. Not even fun for $15 a piece and we left early because we were bored.
Not an actual dj. doesn't transition between songs fast enough and you're just listening to these long songs and people stop dancing till the next one
It was a great party! I people were dressed according to the theme, the dance floor was packed and everyone had a blast. I would love to have more music -themed events like this! And I love to party, but don’t do it too often anymore because I can’t stay up all night like I did in my 20s, so this event starting at 8pm was perfectly timed 👍❤️🪩 💃🏼
Event was alright, they played a good amount of music from the 1970s, but only played a couple of Abba songs which was disappointing. Worst part though was the line, the line went around the block and took us 30 minutes to wait in and we showed up an hour late. That was pretty unbelievable, I haven't seen a line like that at any venue in Denver.
Wish it were longer though. I could’ve danced for 6 hours.
I previously read reviews where the show didn’t play as much Abba, so I was hesitant but it was the perfect combination of Abba and other decade hits! Everyone was dressed up, having a great time, and the crowd was incredible! I would love to go to another city but I don’t know if it will be able to top this night!
The DJ. used a preset playlist of unedited songs. Coudln't even fade the transitions. He dropped the music twice. And he played a lot of stuff that wasn't disco, Dolly Parton is not disco.
I love it 😍 excellenttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
It was an average experience, no real remixes the dj would only play entire songs one after another as if it was a playlist. No decorations on stage.
2 stars. Half the tunes were not disco at all. Queen, Neil diamond, I could go on. Just meh overall.
The heath in the basement is really something else. People were dancing all night long. The songs that were played were really good, with a few remixes that should have been dropped. However, the DJs mixing was really bad, the transitioning between song was interputing the mood. Songs got cut of in the midle of the course. Some faded out, some were just cut.
Really enjoyed the Disco. Venue was spacious & well lit. Drinks were good & not too expensive. DJ definitely engaged the crowd. Really fun night
Really great music and the DJ was very good. 2nd time doing the GIMME GIMME Disco event here. Both times were late. The website said 9pm and I assumed 10pm (when actually starting) and then it said 10:45pm but the doors didn't open until 11:20pm. Been to many of these and none have been this late. I think if Atlanta Masquerade will tighten up a little it would be good for them. BTW, there was a lesser crowd at this one than the one before...could this be why? Just saying!
Second "Gimme! Gimme!" party I go to (both in Charleston) and I can say they were the best nights I've had since I got here. the party is very lively, the dj's are great. I had a lot of fun and I'm already counting down the minutes to the next one.
