  • Gimme More

by Starry Eyes on 1/2/23The Regent Theater - Los AngelesRating: 3 out of 5

Regent Theater did not check for my ticket at the door. It was as if I had spent money on tickets when I could’ve walked in for free. Music was good to dance too and had a decent crowd that we’re in the spirit of dressing up. Although it was only one guy hosting and being DJ all night. I expected a little more of a performance.

  • I really, really love the show, because i love ABBA and disc

    by ABBAjoey1977 on 12/26/22Big Night Live - BostonRating: 4 out of 5

But the djs are leaving out WAY too many great disco artists and songs out, such as KC And The Sunshine Bands many hits, Thelma Houston, The Village People, besides YMCA, Chics many hits, The Sylvers, DONNA SUMMER. the queen of disco, and great songs like Makin It, Boogie Oogie Oogie, I Love The Nightlife, The Sound Of Philadelphia, Brazil, Carwash. Copacabana, I Dont Love You Anymore, The Love I Lost, Rock Your Baby, and i could keep going but i would be here until next year. PLEASE, start playing all of these great disco songs instead of really lame 80s songs like Girls just want to have fun , or Rick Aistley, which in no way anything to do with ABBA or disco....GIMMEE GIMMEE more ABBA and disco!!

  • Decent Fun

by Jimmy Allstar on 12/26/229:30 CLUB - WashingtonRating: 3 out of 5

Was decent fun. Love the tunes. Crowd was a little low energy. Overall fun night out but basically just a guy playing ABBA on his laptop.

  • Gimme Gimme Disco was a fun filled evening ❤️🕺

by Mike on 12/20/22Garcia's at The Capitol Theatre - Port ChesterRating: 5 out of 5

The music brought back many many memories and kept us on the floor for most of the night. The DJ, the music and the crowd, were nothing short of amazing....🕺

I love gimmie gimmie disco, I went for the first time back in April for my 18th birthday! This was an amazing time and so fun! The dj was spectacular and really knew how to work the audience! The photographer was amazing as well and he was fun as well! 10/10 would 100% recommended the gimmie gimmie disco night for fun for you and all your friends!!

  • Sad

by 53nt1n3l on 12/20/22Tannahill's Tavern and Music Hall - Fort WorthRating: 1 out of 5

It was the same video over and over and whike the music was good, the dj and the people on the stage were distractions and not in a good way. An hour in and we were ready to go. We feel like we wasted our time and $ on this event. C'est la vie. Ive learned my lesson.

  • MUST GO

    by Christina on 12/19/22Saint Andrew's Hall - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

The whole experience was phenomenal. The music was perfect and the vibes were on point. I would recommend to everyone that they need to check it out!

  • Honestly really disappointing.

by EP on 12/13/22Minglewood Hall - MemphisRating: 2 out of 5

There was barely anyone there and with a massive venue booked, it felt like even less people. Also, the DJ had some interesting song transitions… I had a good time with my friends but I would not do it again. Maybe it depends on what town you’re in?

  • The Most Fun!

by meg on 12/9/22The Depot - Salt Lake CityRating: 5 out of 5

It was such a unique experience that I have always wanted going to the gimme gimme disco. They played so many of my favorite songs and everyone had the best vibe. I would DEFINITELY go back and recommend it to EVERYONE!

  • Great and Definitely Fun!

by Patty on 12/5/22Varsity Theater - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

I came alone to enjoy the music for my early birthday celebration and I had a blast, BY MYSELF!

  • Fun.. but I wanted more disco

by Cat on 12/5/22The Depot - Salt Lake CityRating: 4 out of 5

I had a good time but they played a few songs that were not disco and that was a little disappointing.

  • More disco, less hypeman

by Nick on 12/5/22Music Farm - CharlestonRating: 3 out of 5

My fiance came out to the Music Farm to dance to disco music. There were definitely some fun times had, but both the song selection and host/DJ/performer left a lot to be desired. All the host/DJ had to do was keep the music going and some seamless transitions would have been fun, but he pretty much stopped after most songs and kind of killed the vibe for me. It didn't help that he wanted to be the center of attention and sing Bohemian Rhapsody (which isn't even considered disco). Overall, less DJ engagement, better song selection, and less talking would've made this a better experience.

  • Mediocre at best

by Sam on 12/5/22Music Farm - CharlestonRating: 3 out of 5

I loved the concept behind it but it ended up being very overwhelming. The music was too loud (for fear of sounding like an old person) and the dj played the entirety of each song, it would’ve been better with shorter versions

  • Disappointed

by Haley on 12/5/22Varsity Theater - MinneapolisRating: 1 out of 5

Two hours after the event started we finally left. In those two hours, only four ABBA songs were played. There were some disco songs, but mainly it was current mainstream pop. Not what was advertised. Not what we signed up for. Really bummed this event was a let down!

  • Best party ever

by Helena on 12/5/22Music Farm - CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

I love Gimme! Gimme! Disco. Was the 3rd party that I went this year and was so good!! Perfect!! I feel the happiness all time in my body when I dance ❤️

  • Super Fun Music that gets the crowd moving.

by Juls on 11/28/22Mercury Ballroom - LouisvilleRating: 4 out of 5

Love the music. Enjoyed having someone 'spin' the tunes we requested and engage the audience. He was on his phone a lot, but I assume that was to see the requests and then log them into the program; just wished he didn't seen so occupied during the show. Otherwise, it was a great evening.

  • ABBA Fan and disco lover

    by ABBAjoey1977 on 11/26/22Big Night Live - BostonRating: 3 out of 5

I am glad that you are giving us the chance to voice are opinion, it is greatly appreciated!! I am going to be completely honest about how I feel about how this last show went, because it is important to those of us whom go for what it is supposed to be, atrdibute to ABBA and disco. While the dj did play SOME ABBA , and SOME good disco songs, he spent WAY too much time playing REALLY bad 80s songs that have NOTHING to do with disco OR ABBA , and worst of all, TURNING DOWN the audio to some really good songs, and singing them himself!!! We did not pay 35 dollars to hear somene ruin wonderful ABBA songs but making it their own personal karaoke night, and a VERY bad voice on top of it all. And finally, i have noticed that the same songs keep getting played, and if the song is good, that is ok. However, when you NEVER EVER play such disco groups and singers like Tavares, Chic, or The Sylvers, or Diana Ross, Leo Sayer,or Evelyn Champange King, it is REALLY quite insulting, frankly. And finally when you take three of the greatest disco acts EVER, and you only play ONE song by each, Donna Summer, Hot Stuff, KC And The Sunshine Band, Get Down Tonight, and The Village People, YMCA,, when they all have NUMEROUS , songs, is downright inexcusable!!! I could give you a list of 100 songs that have not been played AT ALL instead of HORRIBLE 80s songs from Ruck Aistley and Cyndi Lauper that have NOTHING to do with ABBA OR disco!!! If the shows continue this trend, sadly, many of us who TRULY love ABBA and disco will have to find this passion elsewhere...

  • Gimme Gimme Disco

by DJ on 11/26/22Big Night Live - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Had so much fun! The venue and show were awesome! Could have used a few more traditional Disco songs thrown into the mix. ;)

  • Hire New DJs

by Carol on 11/15/22The Observatory - Santa AnaRating: 3 out of 5

The Santa Ana show was pretty disappointing. It felt like the DJs found a pre made Spotify playlist and just hit play. There were no transitions between songs, it was so abrupt it would just be like 3 seconds of silence before the next song played. No fun mashups, no live remix, just a guy holding a mic saying “yo” every so often at the crowd. They kept muting the songs at the best part to hear the crowd interact but it just got annoying after awhile. Also A LOT of the music wasn’t even disco, it was mostly 80s. Why are you playing Bohemian Rhapsody and NOT ABBA. Literally someone off the street could be better than what we got. I still had fun because my friends and I made it fun but we all complained about the music. Also there wasn’t even a disco ball which seems like a given to me.
