Loved the song choices played during the set. A great mix of ages with the crowd from 18 to probably mid-50's. Everyone was singing and dancing the entire time. It was a great atmosphere and we had so much fun!
I previously attended this event last February 2021. It was epic, the DJ was on point playing non stop disco and ABBA. I had high expectations for another stellar night. I was wrong. First - we had to wait in line for 45 minutes to get in. In the winter, that is not a ton of fun. Second - the DJ was horrible. Terrible at reading the vibe of the room and did not play DISCO music at gimme gimme DISCO. Within the first hour, he was playing Bruno Mars. He kept leaving the stage, stopping the music to chat which also killed the vibe. Overall the night was a let down after the awesome time I had last year. The line waiting wasn't as bad as this DJ who ruined it and made me want to leave way sooner than I thought I would.
The DJ and music was great but the event was so packed that there wasn’t any room to breathe. There was no regulation on people on the floor and I was nonstop getting hit, pushed, my hair pulled, accsessories I was wearing getting torn, stolen and destroyed. It was a very chaotic event. Kinda embarrassing when adults can’t handle their alcohol.
Fabulous music, enthusiastic and funny DJ, immaculate vibes all around. Totally recommend!
I didn’t enjoy this concert. I waited an hour inside the venue before it started and the guy was just bad
It was a bit weird…we thought there would be more happening on stage but it ended up being one older man acting as a dj and then all of the sudden he started stripping? It was weird. Great venue but the line for the coat check was about an hour long so we ended up holding our coats the entire time. I wouldn’t pay $45 to do this again. It was kinda a glorified Landsdowne or Loretta’s

We sung, we danced, we had a lot of fun to Gimme evening. Very good ambiance, friendly and safe. We will come back ! Thanks to the Dj and the House!
So much fun dancing to disco and newer dance music! Definitely going again
Not even close to being an ABBA inspired disco party. We were very disappointed.
It is definitely not what you would think of a Disco. For example they played pitbull, Dua Lipa and other modern artists. In addition it is mostly 19-20 year olds in attendance, so expect your fellow guest to have poor concert etiquette. Overall though it was fun for what I payed for.
Gimme Gimme Disco was a fun experience. The music was great and the vibes were there in the crowd. My only issue was the Rialto has a slanted floor (besides a area that had a flat space on the bottom by the stage that wasn't very big), So it was a bit uncomfortable to dance on. The dj also could have had better transitions. He cut a couple good songs off at random times. I did enjoy being able to recommend songs though. Could have also decorated the venue with at least something to fit the vibes. Other than that, for the price I would recommend going!
Overall the party was fun and dancing was great. The Dj though needs some work. This guy didnt know how to transition into songs, often there was an abrupt stop to swircu to the next song. Felt more like your friend using spotify off an iPhone rather than a professional dj. Lights & effects could've been better. I think the people who show up in costumes and dance is what makes it fun.
Had a great time at this event. For a couple of 40-somethings, my girlfriend and I loved the music. It was also great to enjoy music from the 70s and 80s with so many younger people. It was definitely an event for everyone. The DJ was great and interacted from both the stage and the floor. Would definitely go to this venue and this show again!
A super fun experience my only two critiques were that there wasn’t enough abba and they didn’t play abba at midnight- like man after midnight was an Obvious choice! Still the song selections they did play were a blast!
Me and 8 of my other friends had fun that night! And the crowd was amazing. Love the NYE count down as well. Everything was great except the drinks price which is very expensive base on Madison city price.
Four plus hours of mostly Disco / Dance music, space to move and a great partner made GGD a fun way to ring in the new year.
This was such a blast, oh my goodness! Fantastic music and good vibes all around made for a great new years.
Overall good music , good vibes. But the dj repeated the same song 3 different times which got old
I attended the Honolulu and LA gimme gimme disco's and the Honolulu one was better by a mile. Key differences being the number of people, the energy level, and the song choices were just elevated in Honolulu. The LA disco did a balloon drop which was cool until they started hitting the ground, getting covered in mud, and then said mud being sprayed around when people hit them in the air. The LA show also repeated a lot of songs.
