I did love the vive of the people the funky costumes and all. The thing that I should of done is read about what Gimme Gimme Disco was about (TooMuch Abba for my liking). It was my first experience and the DJ wasn't to my liking the promotion stated a group of DJ's and that would have been more fun. Over all it was a good night with the right people and it will be fun. Drinks are too expensive now way to much.
It was a great event and evening. The venue was really good and awesome DJ. The only downside, we could not request songs. It had to be done via a QR code, but it then asked for personal information but did not have options for Canada cities therefore a request could not be made.
Not much of a stage presence. Could just play a set list.
Nothing to do with Disco - DJ was terrible, people were picking their own songs. You don't go to a disco event expecting to hear Sweet Caroline, Crazy little thing called love, and Bohemian Rhapsody #facepalm We all agreed this was like being at a very bad wedding :(
Shouldn't be an 18 plus event. Crowd was very young.
It was good but this DJ was not great. No transitions, bad read on the crowd, erratic song choice. The DJ in September was far superior.
This was my 2nd time going to Gimme Gimme Disco and I absolutely loved it again! Great music, great people, cool outfits! We had a blast!
Thinking that this was going to be a disco themed show, I anticipated LOTS of Disco hits to dance to. For the most part, there was ABBA (a lot of it) and a few other great disco hits. But then in the middle of it, I think the DJ/crowd lost the idea of when disco took place and what disco music was. Whitney Houston, A-ha, & Rick Astley were played. Great dance hits NOT DISCO. Then Barbie Girl by Aqua played: NOT DISCO. Then some current top 40 pop hits played: NOT DISCO. Music played for dancing was a great mix of eras but if you’re looking for specifically disco music, this is not it. If you’re ok with a mix of all eras of pop music this is fine for you.
This was the 3rd Gimme Gimme Disco I’ve attended and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. The DJ made some creepy statements from the get go, only played 2 ABBA songs in the first 1.5 hours, and did not read the vibe of the room. Playing entire songs with abrupt transitions, and the whole “person falling off the stage” incident made the night almost unbearable. Waste of my time and money.
I'd say my biggest issue is the day before the event it was switched from starting at 10pm to 11:30pm. That's way to late for something to start, and a far to last minute notice to be making such a big shift in start time. Aside from that DJ was okay, could have hyped the crowd better.
I was eager for this show, was searching for any Disco or groovin' joints in Vegas. Most of the songs the DJ played were ABBA, and I had enough of it. People requested tons of Hip-Hop and 90s, which eventually messed the whole night. It's a Disco night, but not a Disco night. Most of who came were dressed 70s style, and surely were ready to groove. Again, either DJ should be replaced, or adhere to the theme and purpose of the night. I give it a 7, which is a fair judgment to me. Yeah, and one more thing, at 12:30 the DJ decided to call the night - I was expecting more than that.
It is a very cool venue but it sucked that we paid for tickets for nothing. We got there only for it to be free to get it. Not cool.
My friend and I went to a close location a few months before and had an amazing time, our DJ was amazing, and we loved the Observatory venue. The House of Blues was a great location and our DJs were cool but they played way more modern music which kinda killed the vibe for us and a lot of people. To be honest, if I wanted to hear music from last year I'd go to pretty much any nightclub. During the first disco we went to our DJ only played 70s and 80s music which was perfect and definitely what everyone was there for. Loved the venue and the people but would definitely stick to the actual disco music because those songs made the night way more fun.
Good idea bad execution. There was very little production just a big LCD screen with some visuals and the DJ was terrible.
Stayed 1.5 hrs and heard 80s music and 70s rock not one classic disco song was played. Waste of time and I would never go again.
Great venue for this amazing throwback party! Great selection of music with the vibe of the 80’s
We had fun, but I wish the performers had better DJ skills. I was expecting some beat mixing, or least some tighter transitions. They were more like entertainers than DJ's. Perhaps a little less ABBA.
I loved the disco experience and the songs selection! Echoplex venue in LA is amazing

Great night dance to the music. Great selection of music. Enjoy the night with friends. Place was clean and friendly
