With over 25 years in comedy, Gary Gulman has established himself as an eminent performer and peerless writer. It’s no wonder the New York Times wrote, “Gary is finally being recognized as one of the country’s strongest comedians.”
A product of Boston, Gulman has been a scholarship college football player, an accountant, and a high school teacher. He has made countless television appearances as both a comedian and an actor and is one of only a handful of comedians to perform on every single late-night comedy program.
Gulman has made four successful TV specials including his most recent critically acclaimed stand-up special for HBO, The Great Depresh, a tour de force look at mental illness, which is equal parts hilarious and inspiring. In 2019 he appeared in the international blockbuster Joker. He will next be seen co-starring with Amy Schumer in the upcoming Hulu comedy series, Life & Beth, and is currently writing a memoir for Flatiron Books, tentatively titled K Through 12.

This has become a tradition (3 times so far) that me and my sister or....my sister and I enjoy... whichever way Gary would say it. He tells you things about himself we would keep to ourselves even when we agree wholeheartedly. The humor is clever, honest, from his heart, and funny as hell! Not one political joke. BRAVO!!!
Funny, thoughtful and full of heart He is a great story teller…weaving each step seamlessly painting a picture that is relatable and funny.
A joy from beginning to end. Funny, kind and honest. Unbeatable
Phenomenal. Funny, engaging and real. This dude is smart and funny and spot on.
Gary delivered his signature observational humor but all new material. 90 minute show with constant laughs. Gary does not only make you laugh he makes you think.
Our group of (8) 45-60 yr olds went for dinner and drinks and we were ready for a great time and many laughs. Out of a 90 min show, the consensus was a C+…..he was not very funny and at times annoying with his assault on those that have realized some level of success in their lives. Many of his jokes referenced the 70s and 80s, and in other cases didn’t even make sense. The worst part was the cost of the tickets at $225/pp ….. I don’t know how he able to headline an event.
Gary was incredible! All new jokes! His interaction with the audience was amazing which created superb improvisation! This man is a genius! He's a G.C.O.A.T. (Greatest Comedian of all Time! Cant't wait to see him again!
Gary was amazing. Had me laughing the whole time. The problem occurred about 3/4 into the show. A girl came in, sat in the back near the ushers, probably didn't have a ticket. She started heckling Gary. It was completely inappropriate and annoying. Gary handled it well, under the circumstances. This girl should have been removed.
This wasn't the first, nor the last time I had the pleasure to see Gary perform. He's got a unique style that leaves you wanting more. Can't wait to see him again!
Entertaining and aware why PVCH requests no one leave their seats during performance. Patrons should take whatever cups they purchased with them when they depart as disturbances occurred when very rude patrons departed and returned kicking cups.
I appreciate Gary Gulman’s humble and sensitive humor; his insight into current culture; his infectious smile; his intelligent ability to connect and sustain intimately with the audience. He’s my favorite contemporary comedian! Thank you Gary🌸
Gulman has a deliberate, slow paced delivery style. He is also uber clever and intelligent, sporadically using references that require that you had paid attention in school. Loved the show and his approach on a wide variety of topics. Go see him if you can. You'll find yourself entirely entertained and talking about it all the way home.
great show. most standups do one hour. he did almost 2. it would've been perfect if a company other than ticketmaster sold the tickets. your mandatory phone app can eat my arse
Gary Gulman was great, very funny and clever. The venue was perfect!
Gary performed for over 2 hours! Had a meet and greet afterwards but I had to work in the morning so skipped it.
Gary Gulman is dedicated to his craft. He performed for 2 hours and then made himself available for a meet and greet. He is a great comic. His style as a storyteller brings you on a journey with him. I enjoyed the show and would recommend others to go see a show as well. The venue was also very nice. It was clean and is a very intimate theater no matter where you sit.
The first comic and Gary Gulman were great! I can't give more than 2 stars because the floor seats were so horrible. I have never been more uncomfortable on those fold out chairs which were spaced so closely that there was no way to stretch my legs. Never again.
Gary Gulman was extremely funny, whether talking about his childhood growing up jewish in a catholic neighborhood or present day "gen z". The Paramount is a great venue. Ticket prices are reasonable. Sightlines are good from anywhere in the theatre. However, they gouge you once inside. $17 mixed drinks, $5 for water or soda & $4 for coat check, REALLY?
I’m a huge fan .. I did not stop laughing from beginning to end ! I know a lot of his routines... I was so glad he had fresh, new material ..! I also made sure I had good seats ..even though the paramount is a small venue! Can’t wait till he comes to NY again ...! He had a meet and greet at the end .. unfortunately I couldn’t find it ? That would of really made my night to actually meet him ...! A fabulous night .. highly recommend him! I love this man !!!
