Great show, so glad he finally made it to Olrando!
I truly enjoy coming to concerts at the hard rock in Tampa. We always have an incredible meal play some games watch a show. It’s the best.
I am a newer Gary fan (only around a year or so); I was introduced by my boyfriend who is a huge fan. These tickets were his birthday gift. Needless to say we both had a fantastic time. As a very visual person the lighting was so delicious! It really amped up the experience for me. I got some amazing photos as a result. I don’t know the guitarists name, but his performance was worthy of a solo show. I would definitely be in attendance! This was also my first time at the Seminole Hard Rock casino and I found the event space to be just the right size! It was intimate and all angles were good. We sat on the lower level, to the left of the stage and don’t feel we missed out on anything. 10/10.
It was amazing and now me and my son are fans for life! My son said he will attend his shows every time he comes back to Charlotte. Thank you Gary Clark Jr. for such an amazing experience ♥️
I have had the opportunity to see him previously at the Charleston Music Hall and it was much better than this time! I was disappointed with the lack of lighting on the stage. Mainly spot lights. We weren’t even able to see his face. The worst part was the sound quality. It was mostly bass and you couldn’t understand the vocals. Most of the sound was just a mash of noise. We were quite disappointed. He sounded soooo much better at the music hall. Maybe the sound man just sucked or was deaf? I have a hard time believing they wanted to sound like that.
The venue is awesome! The opening artist was great....loved her music and her story. Gary Clark, Jr. was amazing! He's a fabulous guitar player with great stage presence. His band is tight....really enjoyed the show!
Outstanding concert! Gary interacted with the audience a lot which added a personal feel.
This was a great show. Gary Clark Jr is an incredibly talented artist. My only complaint was that the sound was turned up SO loud that much of the great music was distorted.
I was disappointed that the band didn’t include any blues music into their set. I assume that they played music from their newest album.
Overall I enjoyed the show and musicianship, but would have appreciated more songs like the closing number. A little more Blues and a little less Rhythm.
Gary Clark Jr ripped, Ovens Auditorium was EXCELLENT. Starting at 8pm, feature at 9:15 on a Monday night for an act that brings out a lot of Gen Xers with young kids on a school night sucked. Should be starting openers at 7pm
Great location in downtown Knoxville. Walking distance from Hyatt Place
What an amazing show at a beautiful venue! Gary truly transports you out of this world! It's more than just a performance. It's an experience!
The venue was great very clean, in this concert they used chairs instead of standing and we loved that it didn't feel crowded
Gary Clark Jr with his band and sisters set our souls on fire in Houston! Grace Bowers and her band first took us to funky town. GCJ proceeded to take us “all around the world.” No genre was left behind and I loved every minute of it! He seemed to enjoy it just as much as we did!!!
Great show of course. Mixed in some songs from his new album with his older staples. You’re witnessing the evolution of an artist. Nice 14 song 2 hour plus set. It’s not all grip it and rip it blues rock. Played some smoother R&B type tunes. Two songs off of the new album “Maktub” and “Habits” were great. Never saw “Church” performed live before. It’s kind of ironic because I’ve been telling friends for years that when I see live music, “this is my church.” The background singers tied a bow on what was a great show. Keep innovating and creating Gary. Hope to see you again soon.
Thank you to Gary Clark Jr, his entire crew, Grace Bowers and her entire crew for sharing your gifts!! Everyone's talent permeated the atmosphere...it was electric!! Amazing, awe inspiring, world class!! Fabulous show!!
I got to see GCJ at a Red Bull jam off thing at the same 713 Music Hall a few years back. Not the same as seeing the man put on his show as he intended. WOW, just wow... What an exceptional musician and showman. LOVED every minute of it. His range is spectacular...really mixes it up. His band is the stuff...super! Loved the more intimate venue...I'm sure he could have filled a bigger location, but it was the smaller one that made it even more enjoyable. I expect he chose it for that reason. Opening act, Grace Bowers & Hodge Dodge were also awesome! Would gladly see GCJ again and I hope to one day before long....
Not my first time to see him, but he was once again OUTSTANDING. Just as good was Grace Bowers. We drove down from DFW to see them both and were definitely not disappointed. This was our firt visit to the 713 Music Hall and thought it was a perfect venue...well worth the trip!.
We've been fans for a long time and seen him at many different venues. All his shows are different which makes it feel like you're seeing him for the first time. This past show he played with passion and played every song as if it's the encore song! We're fans for life!
