About Garden Brothers Circus
Garden Brothers Circus on Tour
You don’t become North America’s longest-running circus troupe by resting on your laurels, and for its 2021 extravaganza, the Garden Brothers Circus stages its most extreme, over-the-top show ever. Garden Brothers Nuclear Circus: Humans Gone Wild features such breathtaking feats as the “Human Slingshot,” “Motorcycles in the Sphere of Fear,” and the infamous “Wheel of Death” (a massive, vertically rotating structure on which acrobats perform death-defying stunts). But it’s not just humans going wild in this show - the Olate Performing Dogs (as seen on America’s Got Talent) will also make an appearance. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Garden Brothers Circus without such classic carnival attractions as jugglers, trapeze artists and a demonstration from the world’s strongest man. Bring the kids early to meet the performers, get face-painted like a superhero and take a ride down the Monster Slide.
Garden Brothers Background
America had the Ringling Bros., and Canada had the Garden Brothers. Both began as small family businesses before setting the gold standard for big-top entertainment in the 20th century. But with the Ringlings’ circus leaving town for good in 2017, the Garden Brothers now stand as North America’s longest-running carnival revue. Its roots date back to the 1920s, when Scottish emigré William Garden and his wife Jean began touring as a song-and-dance act called Garden & Shaw, sowing the seeds for the official launch of the Garden Bros. Circus in 1938. After William passed away in 1954, his Montreal-based sons Ian and Bill assumed control of the operation and turned it into a touring juggernaut, with Ian playing double duty as animal trainer and ringmaster, while his wife Micheline oversaw the technical aspects. After three successful decades at the helm, the couple passed down the reins to their children Richard and Ian Jr., who eventually handed them off to a cousin, ensuring that the Garden Bros. Circus has remained in the family after a century of spectacles.
It was a good show. My kids really enjoyed it and the members were very talented with some crazy tricks
I haven't been to a circus in 15 years. Oh, what a disappointment! The attendees were more entertaining than the circus. There were 2 elephants, a camel and a few horses. The same actors appeared in most of the segments. Intermission was almost longer than the show. I felt people like my family paid for ourselves and all the free tickets that were given out. A kiddy petting zoo and blow up fun houses would be a more apt description.
For the price, this was not worth it at all! I would not recommend this event to anyone for the price. Even our kids kept asking, "Is this it?!" We stood in line for nearly 30 minutes at the concession line just to get a drink!! Highly disappointed!
Show was decent, but if you're not up close, you can't see anything due to all the merch displays, so we couldn't see much. Would highly recommend getting VIP seats so you can see better.
We were excited to receive free tickets for our 3 children (4, 2, and 11 mths) and thought it would be a fun family activity. The first problem was that the free tickets we received had to be traded in for a ticket with a barcode so even though we bought and printed our adult tickets at home we had to wait (eith 3 kids) in a 45 minute line with all the other parents doing the same thing. The acts were only okay but sadly, the speakers were incredibly poor and we couldn’t hear what was being announced about the performances. We couldn’t hear the music being played during the acts and our attention was not kept. Though my husband and I thought the acts were somewhat impressive (riding unicycles while juggling, carrying large wooden beams, etc) our children were not impressed at all. Intermission was a 25 minute scam to get you to pay more money. They filled the arena with blow up jump castles and charged for admission to each. So, if you didn’t want to spend more money you had to torcher your kids by making them watch all the other children jump while they waited on the show to start again. We ended up leaving early. We spent over $100 total on tickets, parking, and souvenirs and feel like we wasted our money. We were expecting animals, funny clowns, things that would amuse our children - but we didn’t get any of that. We will not be going back to this circus wig our famil again.
By far worst circus ever . Was more like a backyard show at a kids birthday , definitely not worth the price. Don't waste your money or time.
Unless you feel that animal abuse and maltreatment is okay... This was so bad that I literally took all 3 of my kids right out before the show even started. Both elephant trainers were carrying bullhooks and one used his right in front of us on one of the elephants...as if the elephant standing there was bad or something?! I am so appalled at what I saw that yes, I left there with my kids and educated them the entire way home about the importance of treating animals fairly, respectfully and lovingly. I also got to teach them about how government works and how to try hard to put a stop to so called "entertainment" like this. It is not worth your money. They don't care about the animals. They don't care about anything there (obviously) except for money. The popcorn guy wasn't using gloves, ran his hand through his hair and then had both hands in the popcorn mixing it. This other lady had gloves on and wiped something from her nose and then went back to working with the cups for the "snow cones". This was despicable. Please do not support this circus. They really need to be put out of business.
Circus was great. It had face painting, pony rides, horse rides. The attractions were great and ticket prices were reasonable
Awesome experience! A little costly but so worth it in the end.
Was not worth the $52 i paid for just my ticket and the rides and concessions prices were ridiculous! First and last
I wish there were more animals to the show.I loved the elephants.A circus isn't a circus without animals. So atleast garden bros has some.
This entire performance was Horrible!! Do no waste your money... It was amateur performances that my kids could of put on.. don't know why it's called a circus hardly any animals were in it.. u could ride an elephant 2 times around a garbage can for 20.00.
The circus was a huge disappointment. We ended up leaving during intermission after buying the $12 cotton candy and a couple $3 bottles of 20 oz Coke. The only redeeming factor was that my kids got their tickets for free.
I didn’t like to show. Nothing was special. And tickets in the show extremely expensive.
I only saw 2 elephants, 2 camels. Expected more. Way too much money.
This appeared to be the same Circus that was in Kountze, TX several years ago. . It was under $15 to see it there and had allot more events and lasted allot longer. We basically saw less than an hour for almost $40. Pitiful... the drinks were highly overpriced. The blinky lights were extremely overpriced. Would not recommend to anyone and would not attend again! Highly disappointed! The venue could have more than 1 bathroom facility.
The family had a great time. This is a smaller circus, which is not a bad thing at all. We found it very enjoyable. We purchased seats in the front row which put everything right in front of us. I saw some complaints that the prices of the extras are high, but what do you expect when you can get tickets for $8.00? You know, they need to make money too. The bottom line is we had a really good time, I found it well worth the money, I recommend going, and we will make this a regular event when they come in our area.
I went their for the family experience. My children had fun and were thrill to see the circus. My little girl kept saying "it's not outside" and I told her it's an inside circus. Besides that It was ok for my self and my wife. I wish I would of paid a little extra for the better seats. Anyway good job Guys and hope to see you guys again! The Camel show was a little disappointing.
They were unable to scan the qr code at the door. Had to wait in the will call line then wait in the security line. Show started almost 40 minutes late then had a 30 minute intermission. Show overall good. Experience not so much.
Not very good. Circus days are gone. Everything is over priced. $12 for face painting is just one example. $12 for a bag of cotton candy...on and on. The ring is very very small. the acts are sub par. ok for little kids but beware this is going to cost you a bundle. Give your kid $100 and go to Dave and Busters and you will come out way ahead. Circus days are gone.
