About Garden Brothers Circus

Garden Brothers Circus on Tour

You don’t become North America’s longest-running circus troupe by resting on your laurels, and for its 2021 extravaganza, the Garden Brothers Circus stages its most extreme, over-the-top show ever. Garden Brothers Nuclear Circus: Humans Gone Wild features such breathtaking feats as the “Human Slingshot,” “Motorcycles in the Sphere of Fear,” and the infamous “Wheel of Death” (a massive, vertically rotating structure on which acrobats perform death-defying stunts). But it’s not just humans going wild in this show - the Olate Performing Dogs (as seen on America’s Got Talent) will also make an appearance. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Garden Brothers Circus without such classic carnival attractions as jugglers, trapeze artists and a demonstration from the world’s strongest man. Bring the kids early to meet the performers, get face-painted like a superhero and take a ride down the Monster Slide.

Garden Brothers Background

America had the Ringling Bros., and Canada had the Garden Brothers. Both began as small family businesses before setting the gold standard for big-top entertainment in the 20th century. But with the Ringlings’ circus leaving town for good in 2017, the Garden Brothers now stand as North America’s longest-running carnival revue. Its roots date back to the 1920s, when Scottish emigré William Garden and his wife Jean began touring as a song-and-dance act called Garden & Shaw, sowing the seeds for the official launch of the Garden Bros. Circus in 1938. After William passed away in 1954, his Montreal-based sons Ian and Bill assumed control of the operation and turned it into a touring juggernaut, with Ian playing double duty as animal trainer and ringmaster, while his wife Micheline oversaw the technical aspects. After three successful decades at the helm, the couple passed down the reins to their children Richard and Ian Jr., who eventually handed them off to a cousin, ensuring that the Garden Bros. Circus has remained in the family after a century of spectacles.

  • Garden circus

Definitely not the best circus I've attended. My whole family felt the clown were obnoxious and not funny. Also the girl with the guy and whip showed her actual behind every time she bent over and my six year old grandchild even said her clothes are too little.

  • Must see circus!

Wide variety of performances, very skilled performers. Great time for the whole family.

  • Not what I was expecting

by Carrie1984 on 7/18/18Chesapeake Energy Arena - Oklahoma CityRating: 2 out of 5

This is a type of circus that travels from town to town. It was not what I expected at the venue we were at. We went to a circus there a few years ago and it was awesome. This was just basic stuff. Plus the activities on the floor were very pricey. They had 2 bounce houses and they cost $6 each per child to jump....and a 2 minute elephant ride with multiple other kids on it was $18 per child.

  • Garden Bros Circus was fun

by Run4funguy on 7/18/18Chesapeake Energy Arena - Oklahoma CityRating: 4 out of 5

The Garden Brothers Circus was exactly what I thought it would be. It was a one ring circus that was entertaining and fun. Not the biggest circus I have seen but it was still well done and fun. We purchased VIP tickets and I thought they were a good value. It is extremely cheap (or free) to get into this event, so don't be surprised at $12 giant bags of cotton candy and other high priced up-sales, that's how they make their money. They got to feed those elephants somehow!

  • Kids had fun!!

by Chelseyyyyy on 7/18/18Chesapeake Energy Arena - Oklahoma CityRating: 4 out of 5

Circus was entertaining for the kiddo...there was a little too much smoke for the NON VIP. EXPENSIVE...$36 for two people to ride the elephant?? Wow.

  • All for the Money

by CatherineK on 7/18/18Chesapeake Energy Arena - Oklahoma CityRating: 2 out of 5

This is all a money making scam. The circus was one ring, not three like they said it would be. Did they have three rings, yes, but it was one large ring, and then two small raised circle platforms were sometimes an act would use it but nothing remarkable at all. The acts were okay, but it was lacking in so many areas. There were only 2 clowns and not a headmaster. They took a 40 min. intermission just so people could pay 18$ to ride elephants, 12$ to get your face painted, or $6 to bounce in a jumpy house. My children enjoyed it, and I'm glad we went, but it really was terrible.

  • Wasted money.

by Anonymous on 7/18/18Chesapeake Energy Arena - Oklahoma CityRating: 1 out of 5

Was not worth the money that was spent! My 5 year old kept asking if we could go home but my 8 year old was somewhat into the show.

  • Garden Bros Circus. A most spectacular show.

    by Truthseeker1947 on 7/5/18Tucson Arena - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

I am 63 years of age and sadly recently widowed, so when I received in the mail advertising for this wonderful Garden Bros Circus complete with real elephants, I felt extremely driven to purchase tickets, which I did online immediately. I kept pinching myself, because I could not believe that I had been lucky enough to secure a ticket for this show. Thank you TicketMaster. This magnificent show with elephant and camel rides for the children fulfilled my dreams and created new dreams for the children whose eyes were as big as saucers at this glorious show. What a treat. Thank you Garden Bros Circus. May your show be enjoyed by many wide eyed children for many years to come. A truly professional act. The Animals were magnificent and extremely well cared for and the motorcycle performers, acrobats and delightful performing dog in his Panda suit, all was superbly executed. A wonderful lesson in discipline and practice Your show was perfect. Simply divine entertainment. Please everybody take your children to this show. I have not seen a circus since I was a child and I was completely entranced and entertained, with it providing me with so much happiness the likes of which I had forgotten since my husband's tragic unexpected passing. I still radiate so much joy from this fun, family show. Well done the Garden Circus Bros. A BIG THANK YOU.

  • Terrible

    by Ckck1 on 6/27/18Denver - DenverRating: 1 out of 5

They are using live animals boring old circus! Not a fun experience

  • LOVED THE SHOW!

    by Briannap89 on 6/16/18Kansas Expocentre - TopekaRating: 4 out of 5

The show was absolutely amazing! The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because the prices of tickets to be able to do fun things is too high, I saw so many kids getting sad because their parents couldn’t afford for them to ride the elephants or the horses. The tickets were $6 each and it took 3 tickets to ride the elephants so $18 just seems a little outrageous. I mean I know they need to make money but that’s just too much.

  • Fun

by Legitwarr on 6/13/18Silverstein Eye Centers Arena - IndependenceRating: 5 out of 5

Great show and entertaining, fun for the kids and had a good time

  • Garden Bro Circus was average

by CarrieLSMO on 6/13/18Silverstein Eye Centers Arena - IndependenceRating: 3 out of 5

It felt like the only authentic circus act was the elephants at the end and the woman acrobat with the bow and arrow.

  • Good show but expensive

by OverComer11 on 6/13/18Silverstein Eye Centers Arena - IndependenceRating: 4 out of 5

The show itself was good, it didn't start on time more like 630 instead of 6. Doors wasn't open at 5, we were left outside sweating. It was rediculous that you had to pay $6 to ride each animals & to do bouncy house. One ticket for all activity. Rediculous concession stand prices ($5) for water....

  • Sad Elephants

by Tyrillia on 6/13/18Silverstein Eye Centers Arena - IndependenceRating: 2 out of 5

I was a bit disappointed. The first show ran late so we stood in the heat with the kids waiting to get in. Very few vendors to buy anything. 12 bucks for cotton candy. From a kid perspective, it was entertaining. For the parent, we were underwhelmed for the price we paid. Lucky we only paid the 13 dollars for tickets. I'd be really upset if i had paid 30 for a gen admin seat. I was expecting more amazing things and animals and got beautiful horses, a dog, and some sad looking elephants. We were almost in tears for those old men. Best part was the Circle of Death. Motorcycles galore in a small spere. I was actually on the edge of my seat fpr that. Even with that, I know I won't be gping back.

  • Circus was good

by Boney123 on 6/13/18Silverstein Eye Centers Arena - IndependenceRating: 3 out of 5

The circus was good but I think the Clown's could use some improvement everything else was awesome.

  • Nice circus

by NWIllinoisian on 6/2/18BMO Harris Bank Center - RockfordRating: 4 out of 5

Not the 3 ring extravaganza of olden days, but a nice smaller circus with some good performers. Our age group was from 6 to 73 and everyone enjoyed it. If they come back we will go again.

  • Garden bros boring

  • Disappointing garden bros circus

by Momof2girlsftwayne on 5/21/18Allen County War Memorial Coliseum - Fort WayneRating: 3 out of 5

Not as good the last 2 years, needs more animals, cost too high for rides and toys, had to wait in line to exchange free tickets and was unaware, 1 coliseum staff rude checking tickets waving his hand in my face, appreciate free kids tickets, plenty of good seating

  • Garden brothers awesome!!!

by Heidiboo81 on 5/21/18Allen County War Memorial Coliseum - Fort WayneRating: 5 out of 5

I would highly recommend seeing this amazing circus show! The pole climbers, motorcycle ball, and horse riders were some of my favorites. There's so much to see. They really put on a fantastic show. The show ran smoothly. I really didn't want it to end i was enjoying myself so much. My kids thought it was fantastic as well. Concession items are normal skyrocketed prices, just as they are at all these type of shows.

  • Is the circus a dying event?

by Notimpressed22 on 5/21/18Allen County War Memorial Coliseum - Fort WayneRating: 2 out of 5

I remember when I was a kid the circus was huge and seemless. Tons of entertainment to keep your attention. While it was ok there were definitely flaws and it was basic, small, and $15 for popcorn is rediculous. Not something I would go see agian.
