About Garden Brothers Circus
Garden Brothers Circus on Tour
You don’t become North America’s longest-running circus troupe by resting on your laurels, and for its 2021 extravaganza, the Garden Brothers Circus stages its most extreme, over-the-top show ever. Garden Brothers Nuclear Circus: Humans Gone Wild features such breathtaking feats as the “Human Slingshot,” “Motorcycles in the Sphere of Fear,” and the infamous “Wheel of Death” (a massive, vertically rotating structure on which acrobats perform death-defying stunts). But it’s not just humans going wild in this show - the Olate Performing Dogs (as seen on America’s Got Talent) will also make an appearance. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Garden Brothers Circus without such classic carnival attractions as jugglers, trapeze artists and a demonstration from the world’s strongest man. Bring the kids early to meet the performers, get face-painted like a superhero and take a ride down the Monster Slide.
Garden Brothers Background
America had the Ringling Bros., and Canada had the Garden Brothers. Both began as small family businesses before setting the gold standard for big-top entertainment in the 20th century. But with the Ringlings’ circus leaving town for good in 2017, the Garden Brothers now stand as North America’s longest-running carnival revue. Its roots date back to the 1920s, when Scottish emigré William Garden and his wife Jean began touring as a song-and-dance act called Garden & Shaw, sowing the seeds for the official launch of the Garden Bros. Circus in 1938. After William passed away in 1954, his Montreal-based sons Ian and Bill assumed control of the operation and turned it into a touring juggernaut, with Ian playing double duty as animal trainer and ringmaster, while his wife Micheline oversaw the technical aspects. After three successful decades at the helm, the couple passed down the reins to their children Richard and Ian Jr., who eventually handed them off to a cousin, ensuring that the Garden Bros. Circus has remained in the family after a century of spectacles.
It was so good. My whole family love it. We would definitely be going back when you guys come back to town
My grandkids loved it so did we. To be perfectly honest what upset me the most was the outrageous amount of Money to ride the elephants an giraffes When you say 1 ticket for this or 2 tickets for that is very deceiving $21.00 per child E $14.00 per child G my grandkids were upset I told them I can’t afford that kind of money No wonder why the lines were not long
We were excited to see a circus at a large venue expecting more but the small circus in a tent we went to beforejust put on more of a show thia one seemed more interested in getting you to buy more stuff then putting on a spectacular performance. Some of thebacts were quite impressive others just seemed to drag on. We'll probably skip this one next timw they are in town.
This is a must-see show. My wife and I enjoyed the show more than my children. It brought back lots of memories from my infancy. Well-organized company and very entertaining acts. I did not like the lack of clothes in the dancers, but it is a show for the family to enjoy in general. The Hertz Arena needs to improve the facility and the food, specially the popcorn (worst popcorn ever).
Good value for what paid. Circus fun 5 year old loved it Add on rides camel 🐪 ride $21 huge ripoff if they reduced cotton candy animal rides to all inclusive for all animals then I’d not bring it up It’s hard to tell 5 year old you can’t ride elephant cause it $21
I was expecting more . The lines did get long for riding with the animals . The show was ok . Wouldn’t go back .
We had a great time! We think that the price of the extra stuff was high (ie: $7.00 to jump on a bounce and $21.00 for an elephant ride. But it was very enjoyable and we will more than likely be back next year!!
Never been but thia was more than i expected and kids loved it would do it again
The kids area was really expensive. For every activity you needed a ticket each ticket costs between 14-21 dollars. If you have multiple kids your looking to spend Atleast 200 bucks for something not even worth it. The only animals that came out were camels, pony, and elephant and even though these were beautiful I was expecting to see a tiger, monkey or maybe I was expecting the circus to be like my childhood?? Either way it’s was a ok experience
Unbelievably lame circus. Worse one I've ever seen! Definitely not worth the money. I took my 86 year old mother that had never been to a circus. As far as we are concerned she still has never been to a circus. We were so disappointed!!!
For starters despite the website saying the free kids ticket required no further action, after waiting in line for an hour they made me wait in another line at the box office to get kids tickets. The attractions were extremely overpriced. The actual show wasnt terrible but it is not one I would be willing to pay nearly 50 bucks a pop on again.
We decided to get VIP seats and take our 4 girls to the circus. It was worth every extra we paid. The 2 older girls had free tickets and we upgraded those. The front row next to the circus ring was an amazing experience!!
The whole thing felt unorganized. I was upset because my friend and I worked 3rd shift, we were not able to go to the 4:30 show so we decided to take our kids to the 7:30 show. The show started late, we were standing outside for an hour in the cold with toddlers, and we had to leave early because of the show starting late just to insure we made it to work on time. I will never spend money to anther garden brothers show.
Overall it was good. ‘My kids kept asking about the elephant. There wasn’t one on the show and we were bummed.
Was expecting elephants but it was a good show. Very expensive to purchase anything while there!
I was highly Disappointed. The show wasn't long and was way to busy to follow everything going on. They had one clown who didn't do much and the only animals they had were a few camels who ran a circle a horse and a pony. I expected more from something calling itsself a circus. I will not attend ever again and will not recommend to anyone.
I saw this same circus last year and it was awesome. This year 5 acts were cut and there were no elephants. One clown and he wasted a lot of time trying to take up time.
The show was pretty good. The kids loved it, but for me as a parent somethings need improvement. To me, the best acts of the show was the dirt bikes in the sphere, the clown, and the elephants. When the main act was going on in the center circle, there were people performing on stage and in front of the stage at the same time which was too busy. You did not know who to watch and if you watched one you miss the other. This is unfair to the audience and the performers. No doubt the acrobats are talented, but I did not see anything new or a "wow factor" in their routines. I have seen the exact juggling acts, jumping through hoops, climbing chairs, throwing hats, etc. in other acrobat shows. The camels and horse, although the mini pony was cute, just ran around in circles no tricks, no wow factor. The kids zone was nice, but not the prices. After buying tickets for the event the kids zone could have been discounted or free. $14 each to ride the elephants, camels, and ponys. $7 to jump in the spacewalk, $14 for the face painting, and $15 for the souvenirs (sticks that light up). Really! This was a good family event, I liked the early bird discount, but be sure to leave your purse/wallet at home, or you will go broke.
One star lost due to long wait to enter the venue. There were not enough people working the doors.
My 7 year old LOVED it .. y’all did great .. so much talent and hard work .. thanks for the experience 🤹🏻♂️
