GAELIC STORM IN CONCERT:

"High energy", "fun-filled", "tremendously talented", and "the ultimate party band" are just a few of the ways that ticket buyers have described Gaelic Storm in concert. The five-piece Celtic band specializes in blending traditional Irish music with modern rock, whipping up a dance-ready sound that appeals to music lovers of all kinds. At their raucous live performances, you'll see rock fans who love the band's infectious energy alongside folk fans captivated by their entertaining stories. Along with fun renditions of traditional Irish and Scottish music, the band is also famous for their crowd-pleasing comedic banter and their easy ability to engage the crowd with sing-a-long favorites like "What's The Rumpus?" and "Drink The Night Away". With no signs of slowing down, Gaelic Storm is an unmissable live act that concertgoers won't want to miss.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Led by founding members Patrick Murphy and Steve Twigger, Gaelic Storm started playing at pubs in 1996 in Santa Monica, CA, stunning audiences with their modern take on Celtic music. Their big break came in 1997 when they appeared onscreen as the steerage band in the Oscar-winning film Titanic performing "An Irish Party In Third Class". The exposure led to extensive touring and they've since performed throughout US, Canada, UK, Japan, and France. They've also become a staple on the cruise ship circuit, where they've toured alongside major acts like Bare Naked Ladies, Zac Brown Band, The Beach Boys, and Michael Franti. Their tenth album, 2014's Full Irish, compiled the band's greatest hits from 2004-2014 and became their fifth consecutive release to top the Billboard World Albums chart.

    First Timers

by Kath on 3/11/24Steelhouse Omaha - Omaha

Our first time attending a concert at Steelhouse Omaha was for the Gaelic Storm/High Kings concert. It was a great concert! We had seen Gaelic Storm before, but not the High Kings. Both are extremely talented. We bought tickets in the club/balcony area, and were very happy with that choice. From the time we entered the facility to the time we left, everyone was extremely nice and helpful. We liked the fact that there is a nice lounge/bar upstairs to hang out before the show and have a drink. (Although the drink prices seemed a bit high). Our seats were great, restrooms close by, and a bar right behind us. We will definitely come back for concerts. This is a great venue for young and old alike. We'll leave the "standing room/floor"to the young folks. The ticket price for the balcony/club level was well worth it for us. Ticketing/check in is extremely easy with the Ticketmaster App.

    Disappointed AND Thrilled!

by JoJo on 3/10/24Pantages Theatre - Minneapolis

The High Kings were A-mazing! Loved the Twin Cities Irish marching band, and the Irish Dancers. Super disappointed that the 2 veteran band members of Gaelic Storm were not there. The members who were there did great but it wasn't what I paid for. Also, something was not right with the sound system once the Gaelic Storm members came out. The instruments were overwhelmingly loud and the vocals could hardly be heard. It sounded really awful. I left. Kudos to The High Kings for playing with the members of Gaelic Storm who showed. They basically put on 2 shows Thursday night. Too bad the sound system was screwed up when they came out the 2nd time.

Gaelic Storm and The High Kings blew us away!

by Beth on 3/10/24Pantages Theatre - Minneapolis

We were there to see Gaelic Storm, and they weren’t really there. Their guitarist wasn’t there, and the lead singer had been doing double duty and had laryngitis and could not perform. You’d think we would have been disappointed. But, we were completely blown away by The High Kings - we would have been happy just to see them! Then the members of Gaelic Storm who were there performed the songs they could. They were such pros and did so well. The best part was when the two groups joined together and led the entire crowd in songs we could all sing together. It was by far one of the best nights out ever, and we would not pass up a chance to see either group live ever again!

Two great bands who accented each other and made for a great night. Fun, interactive, talented and located in a great facility. Happy to see either (both!) again soon I hope!

    Fantastic Show

by MM on 3/2/24Taft Theatre - Cincinnati

Gaelic Storm was such a great show. I wasn't familiar with them or their music but it sounded like a good idea on a winter's evening. They were so much fun! Very lively music, silly banter with the audience - all in all, a very fun event.

    Fun evening - first timers

by Buddy on 3/2/24Taft Theatre - Cincinnati

Our first time to see them and they were great!! Only previous experience was 40+ years ago in an Irish Pub in New Orleans and I just remember how much fun it was. The musicians were very talented and personable with humor and little stories tossed in. The stand in guitarist was unbelievable as the long term guy was recovering from a serious health issue. Will definitely go again.

Friday Happy Hour on Wednesday night!

by PaulyC on 3/2/24Taft Theatre - Cincinnati

I have seen Gaelic Storm many times over the years and this was my fourth time at the Taft Theater in Cincinnati. We were treated to what I have come to expect and love about GS. Front man Patrick Murphy engaged the (sometimes rowdy) crowd with funny stories and intros to the songs. Fill in guitarist Parker was a hit. And we were treated to local Irish dancers and a bagpipe and drums troupe. Most of all it was about the music. All kidding aside, GS has music and amazing talent at its heart. As I have said before, you can’t help but leave a GS concert in a good mood.

    Amazing show!

by JD on 3/2/24Taft Theatre - Cincinnati

Gaelic Storm performing is a unique experience. It’s all the charm and fun of a small-venue jam band with the polish you’d expect from a stadium act. Beautiful ballads and foot-stomping party songs, they have it all. Grab some tickets, grab a pint, and go see them!

A talented and refreshingly whimsical group combined with a classical intimate venue makes for a can’t miss show. Fantastic and looking forward to seeing them again in the future.

by GlennS on 11/5/23Birchmere - Alexandria

I love Irish & Scottish music and Gaelic Storm was one of the best Celtic bands I’ve every seen. Can’t what I like better, their music or their storytelling. Birchmere is a great venue to seem them at.

    Fun night

by Blair on 9/6/23The Blue Note - Columbia

    Solid show, as always

by CK on 9/5/23The Blue Note - Columbia

Gaelic Storm always puts on a good show. Plenty of audience participation, jokes, stories, and great singing. I was very glad to get to hear "The Long Way Home"live at this show, since they don't do it in concert often. The Blue Note is a decent venue. The Lower Balcony seats have a good view of the stage, no blind spots. The sound system could have been better this time - the higher end of the register was very loud, and I had my earplugs in before the band hit the second line of the first song.
