GAELIC STORM IN CONCERT:

"High energy", "fun-filled", "tremendously talented", and "the ultimate party band" are just a few of the ways that ticket buyers have described Gaelic Storm in concert. The five-piece Celtic band specializes in blending traditional Irish music with modern rock, whipping up a dance-ready sound that appeals to music lovers of all kinds. At their raucous live performances, you'll see rock fans who love the band's infectious energy alongside folk fans captivated by their entertaining stories. Along with fun renditions of traditional Irish and Scottish music, the band is also famous for their crowd-pleasing comedic banter and their easy ability to engage the crowd with sing-a-long favorites like "What's The Rumpus?" and "Drink The Night Away". With no signs of slowing down, Gaelic Storm is an unmissable live act that concertgoers won't want to miss.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Led by founding members Patrick Murphy and Steve Twigger, Gaelic Storm started playing at pubs in 1996 in Santa Monica, CA, stunning audiences with their modern take on Celtic music. Their big break came in 1997 when they appeared onscreen as the steerage band in the Oscar-winning film Titanic performing "An Irish Party In Third Class". The exposure led to extensive touring and they've since performed throughout US, Canada, UK, Japan, and France. They've also become a staple on the cruise ship circuit, where they've toured alongside major acts like Bare Naked Ladies, Zac Brown Band, The Beach Boys, and Michael Franti. Their tenth album, 2014's Full Irish, compiled the band's greatest hits from 2004-2014 and became their fifth consecutive release to top the Billboard World Albums chart.

This was the third time seeing Gaelic storm. They are always entertaining and never disappoint! The catchy tunes ring in your head for days later. It’s always fun and uplifting to see this great band perform! The lead singer is always funny and makes me laugh. I’ll be going again next year!

A good time even if it’s your first time

by Yanni on 3/25/24Premier Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino - Mashantucket

As the title alludes, this was my first time seeing them and they were fantastic. I recommend for anyone who just wants a night out. My wife and I needed this little getaway from being parents. I am very particular about spending my free time and I regret nothing about going to this concert from over an hours drive away.

    What a FANTASTIC show!

by Tonia on 3/25/24Premier Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino - Mashantucket

What a great show they put on. Although I've liked and listened to both bands for about 6 years on Pandora, I hadn't seen either in concert before. They are amazing and funny. Exactly what I would expect from Irish bands. I really hope they come back in 2025 so I can bring my boys. They will love them! I Danced, sang along and cheered all evening. Had a whale of a time!

    Fun time

by Brad on 3/21/24Goodyear Theater - Akron

The venue was great. The parking was across the street. The opening band and the opening bagpipers were awesome. Gaelic storm unfortunately had one member in the hospital and the lead singer had laryngitis and was getting over pneumonia. They did their best given the situation. I would still like to see them when they come back to town.

    High Kings High Energy

by Mumblemouth on 3/21/24Goodyear Theater - Akron

The High Kings were an amazing opening act and their Encore with Gaelic storm was outstanding! Gaelics lead singer was sick during the performance so he was a bit unwilling to sing much but he introduced a new guitarist that was extremely talented that should have his own show! The St. Patrick’s day show was one of the best concerts that we have ever seen!

    Amazing and entertaining performance

by Jack on 3/20/24Goodyear Theater - Akron

What an amazing St Patrick’s day show! I saw them with the High Kings this past weekend on St. Pattys day, and despite Patrick Murphy (the lead singer) being sick, it was a great show! I couldn’t even tell he was under the weather, he has a great voice and fun personality. All of the band members were fantastic at their instrument and I’m glad they all had moments to show off their talent. Definitely going to be on the lookout for future concerts in my area!

    Entertaining in So Many Ways!

by Ingrid on 3/20/24House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

Gaelic Storm was fantastic! The music was great, the comradery was evident, and Pat Murphy's stories and connection with the audience made the whole evening a hit. This was my first time seeing them but they clearly have a following - people were dancing and singing along and laughing at all of the stage shenanigans! Highly recommend this show!

    Overall Great

by MyFirstTime on 3/19/24Steelhouse Omaha - Omaha

The music was great!! A drawback or two to the show: drunk middle-aged lady was berated at some length for calling out "It's my birthday!"While it was wrong of her to do this, it was also not a good look to continue to berate her, after telling her to shut up. Changing song lyrics to reflect the current Russia-Ukraine war was interesting, are we sure there isn't at least 1 Irish pub left in Moscow? The music & musicianship was great, did feel that civility is a fine line.

    Oversold, unenjoyable. Great act

by Sardine on 3/18/24House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

Gaelic storm and the high kings were fantastic. However the show was completely oversold, you couldnt move, nobody could get to the bar, you couldn’t physically turn around without bashing the people surrounding you, and that was at the very back so i have no idea what the people at the front or the middle experienced. Had to leave after 45 mins because it was so oppressive

Great music, great venue, much too loud

    by Jama-Ama on 3/17/24Steelhouse Omaha - Omaha

Music was superb. But it was toooo loud. And I paid $26 for the featured drink that ended up being very mediocre.

    Good Energy

by Francie on 3/12/24Pantages Theatre - Minneapolis

I must say that I was disappointed that two of the band members were unable to perform, one having been out a couple of weeks and Pat Murphy taking ill right before the performance, but the rest of the team stepped in and were able to regroup and give a mighty show for us. Even though I didn't experience the show that I was expecting, I truly enjoyed the performance and came away happy, energized and satisfied seeing Gaelic Storm.
