by Jack Life on 8/29/23I have been going to FunkFest for many years and have enjoyed the entertainment and atmosphere but it cuts the overall experience when you can’t access the water in the free section! Before you could take a dip and cool down before bands start! Visiting family really enjoyed this!

by DSTBARB on 8/29/23My 1st time ever attending this event n I am already blocking it on my calendar for next year! The music, vibe, grown folk flow was giving everything n more. I purchased the preferred viewing area n that is definitely a must to get the full affect. The variety of music had me out of my seat dancing n singing along. Great crowd participation and involvement. Vendors were very good n reasonable. A must return for 2024 Funkfest!

by Nora on 8/29/23This event is electrifying! Friday night was definitely "LIT"!!! Pure NOSTALGIA! On Saturday Vivian Green and the Bar-Kays performed. Although I like Vivian Green, this was probably not the venue for her...invite her to the Jazz Festival. If Kwame had not step in, it would have been a disaster for her. The Bar-Kays were good but the performance was dampened by the performance before them. Let's keep it Funky! George Clinton, Bootsy Collins, Chaka Khan...yeah! see you next year!

by Funk Fest is AWESOME. Seeing great old skool bands and seeing grown folks coming together and no drama just enjoying the music djs and bands. Looking forward to 2024 allllreadyyyyy on 8/29/23Had a great time. The music was great and I get to see some of my favorite old skool bands and a few great local talent bands.

by FunkMaster on 8/29/23Bar Kay's were entertaining. Evelyn Champagne King was fabulous. Vivien Green was lackluster. The DJ's were funny and energetic. The crowd had a good vibe. You need to expand the reserve seating area. The parking was overpriced.

by Ronnie on 8/29/23I attend the Funk fest every year. DJ Heart attack is great and keep the crowd jamming. Artists are great as well. But mostly… the attendees.. we have a great time and good food with NO DRAMA !!! That’s the way it should be…. Just chill😊

by Juicylady on 8/29/23The show was great both nights! Just a few small things I would change. The Champagne band was not good at all. They should not be invited back. Vivian Green is a great artist and was nice to see her but she is funky and doesn’t belong at the Funkfest. The VIP area needs to be more regulated as Pl pile in and leave no room for ppl up front to exit to the restroom or anywhere else. An area should be roped off on the far left side to ensure ppl can exit. The hosts are always fun and entertaining and we will definitely be there next year!
