Usually I write a whole essay on my concert experience, but I'm feeling lazy and will just keep it concise:
'Freakin. Awesome. If I went to a Friendly Fires show every night for the next two months, I would shed 30 pounds and probably lose my voice. They are amazing and very highly energized throughout the show. I think Ed went through 6 bottles of water that night. There was a point where he went through the crowd. Sadly I wasn't in that center area, but if I had the chance, I would have swiftly combed my fingers through his hair like some other chick did. ::Swoons::
Even if you are familiar with only one or two of their songs still go. It is worth it. And prepare to move. Don't be that concert goer annoyed by the people dancing around you (like these chicks next to me). Either stand in the back of the venue or dance, darn it! If you feel self-conscious because you can't dance well, just look at Ed and you'll realize that it pays to not give a damn about what people think as long as you are having fun.
I highly recommend you see them. I know I will if they come around to New York again although I see that I've missed them twice this year because I was in England (where they are from, oddly enough) during those months. So frustrating to learn that. But, can't hurt to stop by a forth time guys, right? Maybe next year? =)
Okay, that wasn't concise, but I think I got my point across: I love these guys!
