About

Frankie Valli is best known as the frontman of The Four Seasons and stood out from contemporary singers for his unique falsetto vocals. Rising to fame in the ‘60s, Frankie Valli is still going strong as a solo artist 50 years later.
With The Four Seasons, Valli had 29 hit singles that reached the Top 40 and as a solo artist he added a further nine Top 40 hits. The first hit for the band was “Sherr,” which went to No. 1 in 1962. Frankie's first solo hit, “Can't Take My Eyes Off You,” which was to become his signature song, was released in 1967. Frankie and the band continued to have hits throughout the ‘60s and ‘70s. In 1978 Frankie was back with a big hit, performing the title track to the iconic film Grease, which became a favorite all over the world.
Throughout their career from the ‘60s to the mid-‘70s, The Four Seasons released around 20 albums, but many more compilation and collection albums were to be released over the years. A further 10 albums were released by Valli as a solo artist, the most recent of which was Romancing the 60s, released in 2007. Valli has continued to perform and tour throughout the decades, and continues to collaborate with other artists. As recently as 2010 Valli recorded a duet with Juice Newton, “The Biggest Part of Me,” which was released as a track on Newton's Duets: Friends & Memories album. Despite a very distinguished and long-standing career, Frankie Valli wasn't to make his debut on Broadway until 2012 when he performed in a week-long concert.
For a career that has spanned half a century, it’s difficult to list all the awards and acclaim Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons have won. It‘s testament to their success that in 1990 they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and that they entered the Vocal Group Hall of Fame a further nine years later. The popularity of some of their recordings has stood the test of time among fans and artists who have followed them down the years. Some 200 artists have made their own cover versions of “Can't Take My Eyes Off You” alone. As if being immortalized in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame wasn't enough, the life and careers of Frankie and The Four Seasons became the subject of the globally successful musical Jersey Boys in 2005. The show went on to win six Tony Awards and continues to tour today, stopping at the likes of the Old National Centre and other nationally acclaimed venues.

    Franki Valli

Awesome show by a true showman. Only disappointment is that his "original Four Seasons" were not on stage with him.

    Jersey Boy Still Has It!

by JNG52 on 9/7/09Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

The show was reminiscent of the Jersey Boys' Production. Valli went almost non-stop for a hour and forty five minutes with an excellent backup group of four singers, a brass section, three guitarist, keyboard player and drummer. He played the oldies and covered some Motown hits as well. It was a great evening, and was reasonably priced.

    This show was awesome

by Mava on 9/7/09Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

This was a great show. I couldn't believe that Frankie Valli still "has it" at his age. I really enjoyed hearing all of the oldies that brought back all those memories. There wasn't an empty seat in the house.

    Frankie Valli can still deliver

by fraujules on 9/7/09Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

Although I was probably the youngest person there, this concert was quite entertaining. The four background singers were fantasic and the band was excellent with horns, two guitars, and an awesome keyboard player. Not exactly the hard rock that I prefer, but Valli sang all the great hits from the 60's and 70's that everyone would want him to sing. He sounded great and played for about 1 1/2 hours. Nice family show.

    Frankie Valli WOW

by BigBill47 on 9/7/09Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

What a fun night. All the wonderful sound he is famous for and some material new to him from the 1960s which he made sound special. 1 hour 40 minutes of sheer delight. Thouroughly professional in every way - well worth the ticket.

by ValliRocks on 7/20/09Wente Vineyards - Livermore

Went to see Frankie Valli at the Wente Vineyards. Awesome!!!! Although the Four Seasons were really just back up singers and not a big part of the show. Frankie can really entertain!!!! Loved it. New all the songs.

by FabFrankie on 7/20/09Wente Vineyards - Livermore

It was so much fun to see Frankie Valli live! He still sounds great... moves a little slower but what can be expected from a 75 year old! Definitely recommend seeing him! You won't be disappointed!

Great Show until the right-wing politics came out

by RoastZanna on 7/19/09Wente Vineyards - Livermore

Frankie gave a great show, he sounded good and the band and the "Four Seasons" were on it! About three quarters of the way through he began to share his personal politics which wasa real downer. We almost left at that point, which is something I only did once in the past (Al Greene - what a waste of time - intoxicated and unable to perform). I don't expect a political lecture from you Frankie, just sing and leave it at that. Wente is a killer venue.

    Frankie Valli past his prime

by RocknRollLover on 7/18/09Wente Vineyards - Livermore

While many of the people around me seemed to be enjoying the show, I must admit that I was not impressed. Neither was my wife. I am a traditionalist and I'm sure that influenced me. First, the 4 Seasons were about 25 years old - a stark contrast to Valli in his 60's. They didn't seem to belong together. Second, their outfits and dance routines were more like a Vegas show than a rock n roll show. Third, Valli sang about 5 songs from his new CD which were covers of songs from the 60s and 70s. If I want to hear other people's songs, I'll go the their concerts. And, most of the songs he chose were rather bland. When I attend a rock n roll show, I want a rock n roll show - this was not a rock n roll show dispite the fact that Valli kept yelling "let's rock n roll."

This was our first time at a Wente concert. We are impressed with the venue and the event was well organized. The concert was very entertaining and enjoyable. Frankie did our old favorite songs as well as some new ones.

We have seen Jersey Boys several times, so when the opportunity came along to see the real Frankie Valli, I knew we had to go! He was fantastic!!! He can still hit those high notes - unbelievable! And the venue was beautiful - we will definitely return to Wente Vineyards soon.

Frankie Valli is always a great show - even at 73+

by Cfibob on 7/18/09Humphreys Concerts By the Bay - San Diego

Humphries is a great venue, cozy and excellent but the seats are too close quartered... c'mon guys, a little more room won't kill the buzz. Dude can still sing and the tunes are still great. It's like being in 'Vegas without the drive

    Oh what a night!

by FrankieFan on 7/17/09Wente Vineyards - Livermore

My sister and I went to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons at Wente's yesterday, it was a lot of fun! HOWEVER Frankie almost spoiled it for us and many others with his "political" comments. We did not come there to hear him complain about our current administration, give moral advice etc. we paid to see him perform! SO Frankie stick with what you do best singing and entertaining along with the fantastic Four Seasons!

    Frankie Valli still has it!

by LivermoreChip on 7/17/09Wente Vineyards - Livermore

Frankie Valli has so many hits, and they keep on coming. Although he doesn't have the vocal range he used to have, the backup singers (the new Four Seasons?) fill in well. He builds a good rapport with the audience by the end of the night. The only negative was the Wente Buffet. Too much pepper on the candied nuts and in the salad. Dried out, rubbery pork. Cornmeal something with more pepper. And if you can't keep the coffee hot, don't bother to serve it. The only good part was the desserts: brownie or fruit merangue with white chocolate.

    Maryland

by nosnibor on 7/17/09The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

the show was great, we saw Jersey boys on broadway, what we saw in Windsor was just as good if not better. The last act was just the best. But I bought these on line and was told that these seats were the best that were left way up at the top left side, which was ok with me. When I got to Windsor from Maryland and into the theatre me and my guest were the only people in this section, nobody was around us we looked stupid sitting way up by ourselves. We did move down after the show started. What an embarrsement
