  • Worth the drive to Detroit from Toronto!

by Bridget E.S. Toronto on 10/23/25Detroit Opera House - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Fantastic experience - Fr. Mike is an inspiring and gifted storyteller - and he delivers his stories with humour, caring, deep theological knowledge and reverence and is so relatable and yet inspiring in a way that is unique to him. My husband described his as like Robin Williams on a double espresso! His energy is contagious and his message so good, and positive - what we need at this moment in time. So many take aways - too many to mention! I wish this was recorded to listen again, but at the same time, there in nothing like the live, in person experience. So glad we drove from Toronto to Detroit - and back - it was a late night and worth every minute. Thank you Fr. Mike! If you are considering going to this, take the opportunity. I hope he extends his tour to Canada, and also hope it significantly adds to the building fun for his campus - amazing dream that will surely be realized!

My friend and I traveled to detroit from California just to see father mike. I feel very connected to God when father speaks and I find i strive more throughout the day. We were so inspired and now my friend is listening to father. He has a way of talking about God that makes you feel like he's talking to you personally. Father is so humble, yet funny.

Father Mike has a way of explaining scripture that is very understandable. When he speaks about a subject he is totally believable and makes me know that he truly believes everything he is saying. My faith was strengthened by this event. I was able to share this experience with my wife and two grandsons. They all enjoyed the event as much or more than I did, which made me very happy! It was well worth the 160 mile round trip to experience this event! Thank you Father Mike!

  • A night to remember

by A fan on 10/23/25Detroit Opera House - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first time seeing Fr Mike and I enjoyed it immensely. He was entertaining but also left me thinking about the parables that Jesus gave us. My only issue was that it didn’t start on time which took away from the time we had with him.

Fr. Mike Schmitz is a leading speaker and his delivery (through humor, honesty, and great theology) reaches every person. I enjoyed it so much that I would go back again and hear the same message. He also did Q&A from the audience. No holds barred. His responses were deep, sincere, and incredibly helpful. It was one of the best events I have ever attended.

  • Energizing Experience

by Pat on 6/1/25DAR Constitution Hall - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

My Church Journey group watches Father Mike on You Tube but he is even more energizing in person. His heartfelt sharing of personal relationships and understanding and experience with all of our normal human emotions and interactions makes his Parables Tour so relatable. We all thoroughly enjoyed laughing and crying with him during his show.

  • Father Mike Schmitz

by Sid on 5/30/25Taft Theatre - CincinnatiRating: 4 out of 5

Overall, this was a wonderful evening. Father Mike is so charismatic and enjoys sharing his faith with people. He easily relates his own personal experiences in explaining/discussing the Parables. This makes them so relatable to our lives. Plus, he is so funny! It all went by way to fast. A big draw back for me was the section of the evening when fund raising for his new youth ministry building began. I understand fully that they are in need of expansion. I did not expect this to be part of the program. I did not like this. The question and answer portion at the end of the evening was fun.

  • You will leave transformed

by Sara C on 5/28/25DAR Constitution Hall - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I had the opportunity to attend the Fr. Mike tour, and it was a truly wonderful experience. We were especially moved by the way Fr. Mike shared the parables—he brought them to life in such a relatable and human way. His ability to connect deep spiritual truths with everyday experiences made the evening both meaningful and memorable. We left feeling inspired and spiritually refreshed. Highly recommend attending if you ever get the chance!

  • Excellent presentation!

    by God's gal on 5/24/25Taft Theatre - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

This presentation by Father Mike was an 11 out of 10! He explained the Parables in a clear way, some ways I hadn't thought of in all my life. He was engaging, at times hilarious, and most importantly, told the real truth of the gospels and our faith. I also appreciated that the Taft venue had things to eat and drink beforehand, as I hadn't had time for dinner. It was an eye-opening and delightful evening.

  • Lots of fun!

    by godsserenity1927 on 5/24/25Taft Theatre - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

Lots of fun. Father Mike is an amazing speaker. I haven’t laughed that hard in years 😊. Only complaint is needing more snacks at the food bar! Maybe food trucks outside the venue. DoorDash was behind on orders when we arrived to the hotel before the event. The individual playing loud drums outside the theater on buckets was a little aggravating. Hard to think with the excessive noise while getting into the theater.

  • Engaging, Informative and Fun

by Arly on 5/24/25Taft Theatre - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

Fr Mike is a dynamic speaker and his Parables Tour was even better than I had expected. It is a learning experience as well as an enjoyable one. He easily connects with the audience who range from young to old. Though I had only seen him speak online previously, I drove four-and-a-half hours to attend this event and it was well worth it. I recommend it highly to everyone.

  • Dynamic approach to the Gospels

by BigBass on 5/22/25DAR Constitution Hall - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

This was a wonderful opportunity to hear a dynamic Roman Catholic priest shed light on interpreting some of Christ's parables. The presentation was in the beautiful DAR Constitution Hall, where the sight lines are incomparable, and the seating extremely comfortable. Unfortunately, the Hall's location is a drawback; there is a dearth of restaurants and public parking places nearby. Nevertheless, Father's presentation was well worth the inconveniences!!

  • Wonderful

by Laura on 5/22/25DAR Constitution Hall - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Fr. Mike was wonderful and I wish he had spoken longer! My only complaint was that people were still going to their seats at 7:35 or later. It started about 10 minutes late. I am so happy to have seen him live! He is a remarkable person!
