About

With 10 multi-platinum albums and 16 Top 30 hits, FOREIGNER is universally hailed as one of the most popular rock acts in the world with a formidable musical arsenal that continues to propel sold-out tours and album sales, now exceeding 80 million.

Responsible for some of rock and roll's most enduring anthems including "Juke Box Hero," "Cold As Ice," "Hot Blooded," "Waiting For A Girl Like You," "Feels Like The First Time," "Urgent," "Head Games," "Say You Will," "Dirty White Boy," "Long, Long Way From Home" and the worldwide #1 hit, "I Want To Know What Love Is," FOREIGNER still rocks the charts more than 40 years into the game with massive airplay and continued Billboard Top 200 album success. Audio and video streams of FOREIGNER's hits are approaching 15 million per week.

With more Top 10 songs than Journey and as many as Fleetwood Mac, FOREIGNER also features strongly in every category in Billboard's "Greatest of All Time" listing. At times, the band's weekly catalog sales have eclipsed those of Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Def Leppard, Van Halen, Aerosmith, and most of their Classic Rock peers (Source:MusiConnect). FOREIGNER's catalog sales were recently celebrated in Business Insider as hitting the Top 40 among the Best Selling Music Artists of All Time.

FOREIGNER's founder is Songwriters Hall of Fame member Mick Jones, a visionary maestro whose stylistic songwriting, indelible guitar hooks, and multi-layered talents continue to escalate FOREIGNER's influence and guide the band to new horizons. Jones reformed the band after a 2002 hiatus and selected lead singer Kelly Hansen to help write an inspired new chapter in the history of FOREIGNER. One of rock's greatest showmen, Hansen is among the most respected, consummate professionals in rock and roll. With a 40-year career that spans almost every area of music, from the role of lead vocalist to producing and engineering, Hansen has led FOREIGNER into the digital age while inspiring a whole new generation of fans.

FOREIGNER's lineup also includes noted Dokken bassist Jeff Pilson, Michael Bluestein on keyboards, guitarist Bruce Watson, Chris Frazier on drums and guitarist Luis Carlos Maldonado. An unprecedented new level of energy led the group to a re-emergence of astounding music that speaks to FOREIGNER's enduring popularity.

FOREIGNER recently announced the beginning of their Farewell Tour on national television. The tour will commence on July 6th, 2023 in Atlanta, GA and is expected to take two years or so to complete. The goal is to visit all the cities where the band has played since its reformation in 2004.

More about FOREIGNER -- including individual band member bios, tour dates, merchandise, and more -- can be found on the band's official website, www.foreigneronline.com.

  • Foreigner - worth the tix

by AZRocks on 4/28/13Talking Stick Resort - ScottsdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Foreigner rocked the joint. Kelly Hansen is an amazing showman and vocalist. Just when I thought they'd played all of their hits, they crank out a few more. If you're a Foreigner fan, you'll DEF enjoy it.

  • Coud have been disappointing

    by VinoQueen13 on 4/28/13Talking Stick Resort - ScottsdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Firstly, the venue wasn't the best, especially to see my fav band. Then the concert started. And much to my surprise, no Mick Jones! I immediately got mad. He is the only reason I continue to go the concerts. Then about 6 songs in Kelly introduced the band and then Mick joined them. Amazing how one man can affect the crowd. Seemed to me the crowd was more excited after Mick hit the stage. Rest of the concert, amazing!

  • Great show, questionable venue

by IntraMart on 4/28/13Talking Stick Resort - ScottsdaleRating: 4 out of 5

Over the past 30+ years i have seen Foreigner play many venues. Allthough this was acoustically better than seeing them play outdoors, the flat ballroom environment tends to make every stand throughout the event leaving the reserved seat you purchased behind unoccupied. I was surprised to see legendary Mick Jones not present for the first have but was awesome once he came and joined in.

Excellent show in Scottsdale. An hour and a half of all the greatest hits. The place was rocking big time.

  • What a rocking concert!!!

Foreigner after all these years is still a power house in the music industry, what an unforgetable concert, very one seemed to enjoy the whole concert, singing along to all the old favorites and dancing to their favorites. Wonderful in all respects, hope they come to Phoenix again and again.

  • Foreigner what an amazing show.

The concert itself was incredible. My son and I went to the Styx concert at the Talking Stick Casino as well. Foreigner out did them. The music was great. The lighting was some of the best I have seen in a venue like that. The performance was fantastic. Go see them!!!!!!

by SandyKB on 4/28/13Talking Stick Resort - ScottsdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Foreigner always comes through with a fun, hit-packed show. The band truly enjoys what the do and it is evidenced in their performance. They played for 11/2 hours, hit after hit, with me only sitting down a couple of times. Lots of audience participation, encouaged by a great lead singer.

  • Foreigner STILL rocks!!

by AZseascape on 4/28/13Talking Stick Resort - ScottsdaleRating: 5 out of 5

The band at the beginning sounded AWESOME. This is not the same group of guys from the 70-80s but they were SO good we didn't realize it until much later. It wasn't until they brought out Mick Jones about half way through the concert that things started to fall apart. He did great on the guitar but he floundered quite badly on the keyboard, almost ruining a couple of the songs. He still has a lot of stage presence and plays the part well........they just need to unplug his keyboard before he starts playing!!

  • Foreigner show was over the top!

    by cobra1360 on 4/28/13Talking Stick Resort - ScottsdaleRating: 5 out of 5

The show was extremely satisfying! The venue was cozy which placed us closer to the stage vs. other venues. The stage presence was setup just right.

  • Awesome and LOUD!

by Skyedude on 4/25/13Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first Foreigner concert. My wife and I had great seats. The theater was packed and they were rocking. This was easily the loudest concert I've ever been to which made it all the better. I was so glad to see that Mick Jones was there. He only performed for the second half of the show but that was fine. The energy the band exuded was incredible from the first song through the last. We stood for the entire show. The band performed every hit they've ever had. We would definitely go see them again if they ever come back to San Antonio and the Majestic.

  • Foreigner as good as always

by JimInSimValley on 4/24/13Fox Performing Arts Center - RIVERSIDERating: 5 out of 5

I saw them in with Journey in 2011, Santa Maria in 2012 and now Riverside in 2013. They are just a group that gets better and better every time. Hanson rocks and I was happy to see Mick Jones back.

  • FOREIGNER WAS AH-MAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    by Carrie972004 on 4/23/13Paragon Casino Resort - MarksvilleRating: 5 out of 5

My husband & I both attended the Foreigner concert. They have always been a favorite of ours! They did not disappoint! It was SOO awesome! They sounded great & really interacted w/the crowd alot! WILL DEFINITELY go again if they come close enough! Only complaint was people behind us kept telling us to "sit down". I wasn't sitting down & missing the show!

  • Foreigner at Riverside Fox Performing Arts Theatre

by RickRad on 4/22/13Fox Performing Arts Center - RIVERSIDERating: 5 out of 5

It was an excellent Foreigner concert, at excellent old-time theater with exquisite architectural details inside and out. It was standing for most of the concert, the audience was very into the concert. Mick Jones appeared on stage after a few songs and performed the remaining concert (it was said he had recent health problems)...great lead guitar riffs! Thom Gimbel's saxophone performance, during a couple of songs, was very impressive. Jeff Pilson's bass guitar was energetic and fun to watch. The entire line-up is very skilled and talented musicians and performers. Interesting...an older woman in the up-front VIP section (in front of me), she didn't miss a beat during the entire concert, was standing the whole time. My guess was it was the mom of lead singer Kelly Hansen...or maybe a mom of one of the other band members. Anyway, great to see that during the show. The venue was astounding to look at since the old building, and it was fully restored to its original spender a few years ago. It has a state-of-the-art JBL sound system that provides perfect quality music and vocals sound, and at a perfect volume level (loud, but no ear plugs needed). I think every seat in this 1,600 seat theater would be a good seat for a concert. The bar room is very nice and well equipped to serve beer, wine and mixed drinks. The bathrooms are modern and clean. Drinks are not permitted into the theater, so finish your drinks in the bar or lobby area before entering into the theater. The venue staff was very courteous, helpful and well dressed, as was the security. Parking in the theater parking garage cost only $5 and was only a short walk to the venue outside entrance. I recommend Foreigner to any Foreigner fans since they are a very professional, and well rehearsed and practiced Rock music group. I also recommend the Riverside Fox Performing Arts Theatre (Center) for any music concert. I'm 52 years old, and have been a Foreigner fan since the late 1970's. (RUSH is my all-time favorite Rock band.)
