About

With 10 multi-platinum albums and 16 Top 30 hits, FOREIGNER is universally hailed as one of the most popular rock acts in the world with a formidable musical arsenal that continues to propel sold-out tours and album sales, now exceeding 80 million.

Responsible for some of rock and roll's most enduring anthems including "Juke Box Hero," "Cold As Ice," "Hot Blooded," "Waiting For A Girl Like You," "Feels Like The First Time," "Urgent," "Head Games," "Say You Will," "Dirty White Boy," "Long, Long Way From Home" and the worldwide #1 hit, "I Want To Know What Love Is," FOREIGNER still rocks the charts more than 40 years into the game with massive airplay and continued Billboard Top 200 album success. Audio and video streams of FOREIGNER's hits are approaching 15 million per week.

With more Top 10 songs than Journey and as many as Fleetwood Mac, FOREIGNER also features strongly in every category in Billboard's "Greatest of All Time" listing. At times, the band's weekly catalog sales have eclipsed those of Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Def Leppard, Van Halen, Aerosmith, and most of their Classic Rock peers (Source:MusiConnect). FOREIGNER's catalog sales were recently celebrated in Business Insider as hitting the Top 40 among the Best Selling Music Artists of All Time.

FOREIGNER's founder is Songwriters Hall of Fame member Mick Jones, a visionary maestro whose stylistic songwriting, indelible guitar hooks, and multi-layered talents continue to escalate FOREIGNER's influence and guide the band to new horizons. Jones reformed the band after a 2002 hiatus and selected lead singer Kelly Hansen to help write an inspired new chapter in the history of FOREIGNER. One of rock's greatest showmen, Hansen is among the most respected, consummate professionals in rock and roll. With a 40-year career that spans almost every area of music, from the role of lead vocalist to producing and engineering, Hansen has led FOREIGNER into the digital age while inspiring a whole new generation of fans.

FOREIGNER's lineup also includes noted Dokken bassist Jeff Pilson, Michael Bluestein on keyboards, guitarist Bruce Watson, Chris Frazier on drums and guitarist Luis Carlos Maldonado. An unprecedented new level of energy led the group to a re-emergence of astounding music that speaks to FOREIGNER's enduring popularity.

FOREIGNER recently announced the beginning of their Farewell Tour on national television. The tour will commence on July 6th, 2023 in Atlanta, GA and is expected to take two years or so to complete. The goal is to visit all the cities where the band has played since its reformation in 2004.

  • Not Foreigner

by LittleLioness on 10/8/12IP Casino Resort and Spa - BiloxiRating: 3 out of 5

It was a cover band doing a credible tribute show. It wasn't foreigner. The one thing I really hated was that the lead singer invited everyone down to the stage. I paid for front and center seats. Given the crush at the stage, I would have been much more comfortable with a far better view in the cheap seats.

  • AWESOME SHOW!!

Haven't rocked like this in years! Kelly Hansen and the guys were incredible and put on a great show. They rocked the house with the great hit set list and brought amazing energy and performance to the house.

  • Forigner Still ROCKS!!!

Experienced Foreigner for the second time in two years in Studio A at the Imperial Palace in Biloxi. What a great show these guys put on!!! From the opening number thru the encore, they were totally electric. They perform one hit after another with enthusiam, energy and smiles on their faces as if they're enjoying the moment as much as the audience. If you get the opportunity to see these guys live, take it. You will not regret it.

Fantastic show. The band inner-acted with the audience and the sounds were just great.

  • The best Foreigner concert ever.

The band really connected to the audience. The band has great songs and everyone was on their feet dancing. This was the best Foreigner concert, better than past concerts. Would see them again and again.

  • Fantastic !!

Whenever an artist that I want to see plays at Twin River, I go to the concert. The venue is small- not a bad seat in the place. Foreigner invited everyone to come forward before the show started and to have a fun party with them. It was GREAT !! I have seen Foreigner many times and hope to be able to attend many more of their concerts !!!!!!

No Mick Jones?? wouldn't pay $50 again to see what was basically a cover band

  • Foreigner was foreign!

by HockeyMom086 on 9/29/12Twin River Event Center - LincolnRating: 1 out of 5

I was very disappointed with this show! I knew Michael Bluestein wasn't going to be there but had no idea Mark Shulman and Mick Jones wouldn't either. Kelly, Thom and Jeff did a good job as did Mick's replacement Bruce Watson (saw him in CT back in February) but didn't think it was worth the money I spent for the seats.

  • See this show!

by MikeyM456 on 9/29/12Twin River Event Center - LincolnRating: 5 out of 5

Most of this groups band members are not from the original Foreigner. Only one has remained for over twenty years. That being said, these guys sound every bit as good as the band of old. The lead singer is full of energy and really gets the crowd into the music. His voice is loud and strong and honors the hits with his singing. If you are a fan of Foreigner you will love this show. Go !!!!!!!!!!

  • Foreigner Concert

by Bubbasgirl25 on 9/28/12Twin River Event Center - LincolnRating: 5 out of 5

It was the best concert I've been to in a very long time. As a fan of Foreigner for many, many years, I was very happy to finally see them in concert. I got the tickets for my husband for his birthday and I'm very happy that I did. We had a great time at the concert. It was awesome. The only thing I was disappointed in was that there weren't any t-shirts for sale. They had the students from a school they were sponsoring selling their CD's and raffle tickets, but for someone like me, who has their CD's, I'd rather have bought a shirt.

  • A Great Evening of Classic Hits From Foreigner!

by Michael2131 on 9/28/12Twin River Event Center - LincolnRating: 4 out of 5

I'll start with the only real disappointment of the night - no Mick Jones. No announcement, but I understand he has been doing some gigs with Journey. How ironic it would be if I saw him with Journey tomorrow night in Providence! There was a fill-in keyboardist as well. That said, it was a rockin' concert. Last time I saw them, the lead singer seemed to be trying to channel Mick Jagger. This time it was Steven Tyler - with a much greater degree of success. Not the singing style, just the stage movement and presence (still can't beat the original!). His performance was much better this time though - better voice and much better showmanship. All in all, a better concert except for the absence of Mick. I would give this a solid 4.5 stars and it would have been 5 with Mick there. Definitely recommended.

  • Foreigner rocks again!

by vigdaddy on 9/25/12Twin River - LincolnRating: 5 out of 5

My wife and I have been going to all the bands that were around when we were younger. We have enjoyed all of them, and Foreigner is on the list. Anyone reading the blogs saying that they are a cover band, no original member's and all that, my advise go see this band they rock. Kelly Hanson is doing nothing to disrespect the music of Lou Gram.

  • Foreigner was great

by nohairguy on 9/24/12Twin River Event Center - LincolnRating: 5 out of 5

The show from start to finish was excellent, the band was very responsive to the crowd, which made the night that much more enjoyable.

  • They were AWESOME!

by Frenchie716 on 9/24/12Twin River Event Center - LincolnRating: 5 out of 5

Foreigner is one of my favorite bands, and it was a thrill to see them live. They sounded great, and they all had so much energy! I had a blast and it was great to see that everyone else was loving it, too, as opposed to just sitting around. I would definitely go see them again.

  • foreigner was great

by elioq on 9/24/12Twin River Event Center - LincolnRating: 5 out of 5

it was refreshing to just hear music without lasers, videos and or pyrotechnics that would servr as distractions to unforgetable music. fust voices and instruments. props to the guys who seemed to ej=enjoy themselves as much as the audence. I HAD A LOT OF FUN AND SO DID THE OTHER PEOPLE I KNEW THAT WERE THERE!

  • Strong show from Foreigner

by Truk524 on 9/24/12Twin River Event Center - LincolnRating: 4 out of 5

Foreigner played to a sold out show. Went on at 8:15 til 9:45. Played the usual hits. lots of energy. Mick Jones, original band member was sick but fill-in was seamless. Just a bummer not to see anyone from 80's. Kelly had a good night belting out all the hits! Very energetic! He tried to make this a more intimate event by running thru crowd and used ALL the stage which is nice fior everyone. These guys still play well together. Sound was awesome, perfect balance. Twin Rivers is a tough room as there are all floor seats. Everyone was standing so the shorter folks back a few rows couldnt see anything. There were 2 screens for viewing but thats not much fun for the price if you cant see. Staff disappeared after the first song so many stood on chairs (lots of booze and falls) and further made for blocked viewing. Twin Rivers is easy to get to and no charge for parking. Gamblers all came in at 8:00 and were back at slots by 10. Nice night if you can get the first 20 rows.

  • FOREIGNER ROCKS!!!

OMG!!! This show was amazing!!! I have seen FOREIGNER several times but this was the best!!! I have to say this show was so up close & personal it will never be forgotten!!! They started right on time, came out strong & played great all night!!! They are so into their audience it's like they knew us all!!! Song after song they rocked!!!

  • ended up rockin

by lglp87 on 9/23/12Twin River Event Center - LincolnRating: 4 out of 5

Started out disappointing with no original band members. For some reason Mick Jones wasn't there. Felt like going to a tribute band. The songs sounded good but I couldn't get past that a bunch of other guys were playing them. But by halfway through the show that place was rocking. Was on my feet and dancing. Sounded awesome. This was my third time seeing Foreigner. I'm glad I went and will probably go back again. Good music is good music. It's that simple.

Great band! Great song! But the seating stinks!! No stadium seating!

  • Awesome show

by happyskwerl on 9/23/12Twin River Event Center - LincolnRating: 5 out of 5

Foreigner put on an awesome show. They had great energy all night and played all their biggest hits. 80's rock was the best and Foreigner was part of a great era of music. Their show took me back to those great days I truly miss.
