Florida Panthers History

The Florida Panthers began play in the NHL in the 1993-1994 season. The team won the Presidents Trophy for the 2021–2022 season, earning the most points during the regular season. The Panthers then reached the Stanley Cup Final in the 2023-2023 season, though they lost to the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 4.

However, victory was theirs next season, when the Panthers won their first Stanley Cup in the franchise’s history. The 2024 Stanley Cup Final was a thrilling seven-game series, which saw Florida win 2-1 at their home venue of Amerant Bank Arena. In 2025, the Panthers clinched their second consecutive Stanley Cup title, locking in back-to-back NHL championships.

  • Great

Love the Panthers. Hockeys aways great. Wasn't happy that there wasn't any large refillable soda cups. The soda tasted like carbonated water, no favor. BBT center needs to improve these on things.

  • Funnest game of the year

Very exciting game with plenty of good old fashion fist fights. If we can't beat Um, then, beat Um-up. Just kidding of course. Even Jesus H. Christ was present to watch the Devils barely take this win from us in OT. There's always next year

  • 1st hockey game

    by B. V. on 4/4/19BB&T Center - SunriseRating: 5 out of 5

We had fun. Game and intermissions were entertaining. I wish intermissions weren't so long though. It was my 1st game, so i didn't expect it. Food was expensive-$30 for 2 of us and we shared a soda, but it tasted good and decent portions. Parking's $20 :-/ Overall, it was a good experience, just pricey.

Great experience. Everything went well. It was very cold in Arena, so take warm clothes with. I took pictures from tickets to my phone and it worked well. Wifi is good in BB&T-center.

by tookie on 3/26/19BB&T Center - SunriseRating: 5 out of 5

We love going to see the Bruins while we are in Florida and the BB&T Center is the nicest arena that we have gone to. the parking is included in the ticket price and the seats are great!

  • Fun rink

    by P. R. on 3/25/19BB&T Center - SunriseRating: 5 out of 5

We watched an entertaining hockey game, seats were a bit high ( sección 116 row 25) but view of game was good. Panthers fans were fun, rink was surprisingly empty given Panthers played a strong game. Keith Yandle reached highest points by a Panthers defenseman and that was neat as he played many seasons for Coyotes.

  • Great game!

by Blixy on 3/24/19BB&T Center - SunriseRating: 4 out of 5

It was really fun, especially for my first time to a hockey game. The Panthers won! And I got to see a proposal on the kiss cam. Overall a great game!

  • Hockey - oh yeah!

by Sunbrolly on 3/13/19BB&T Center - SunriseRating: 4 out of 5

The game was truly entertaining. Crowds were good, atmosphere also very good. The seat location was high in upper area but the view was uninterrupted. What was disturbing was the security at the entrance...my purse being searched is acceptable, no issue there, but she measured it not once but twice to ensure it was with in the specifications. Really??? if it's that close to the ridiculous size regulations (12'x12") then use some discretion - a tie goes to the runner!! Also the price of a beer is criminal, but I suppose it controls budget people from drinking.

Parking is easy, food and bathrooms are everywhere, it's clean, the team has been exciting and they fill the dead time with fun. My only issue is leaving the parking lot. It is not easy to go North on the Sawgrass. I understand they will be working on that!

  • Not so much

    by D. M. on 2/20/19BB&T Center - SunriseRating: 3 out of 5

I have been to 31 arenas in the NHL, NONE have been as rediculisly slow with security getting into the building as the Florida Panthers. The PA system was also the worst of any other NHL arena that I have attended, You just couldn’t understand what they where saying, other wise it was great. Of the 31 arenas that I have been to, this was by far the worst experience.

  • Nice arena, parking, & bag policy is ridiculous

    by Jenn117 on 2/18/19BB&T Center - SunriseRating: 4 out of 5

Not a Panthers fan but wanted to see a NHL game at an exceptional price. I thought the arena was nice - lots of food options, clean, plenty of restrooms. I loved that the local police know that so many people park at the shopping area across the street for free that they arrange a safe crossing arrangement. I had read about the bag policy but didn't think I would have any problem since I carry a relatively small purse - not a clutch but not something that could double as an airplane carry-on by any means. I even unloaded a few non-essentials, papers, receipts, etc. Good thing I did since the elderly purse Nazi at the door informed me that "I just barely made it. If you had put one more thing in your purse, it would not be allowed." Pretty sure the "bad stuff" you are trying to avoid getting it can fit just fine in a much smaller purse. Let me make clear that I have absolutely no problem submitting to a purse check and going through a metal detector to attend an event. Bottom line - just don't bring any type of purse to this arena until they get rid of this silly, highly restrictive with no real safety benefit policy.

  • Good Experience

by Joseph on 2/18/19BB&T Center - SunriseRating: 4 out of 5

As part of my ongoing journey to attend a home game of every NHL team, the Florida Panthers were my 18th. It was a good experience., especially with the Tampa Bay Lightning in town. Good arena, aesthetically pleasing and generally good access to major roads.

  • Great time!

  • Great night at the hockey game

by SBC on 2/11/19BB&T Center - SunriseRating: 5 out of 5

The game was great. The arena was clean and our seats were great. The food was good and the entertainment added to the atmosphere. It is a great place to see a game.
